Best gel pedicure I've ever gotten and it actually lasts longer than a week unlike Tjs

Note: If you get normal polish, don't expect 5 coats and for your nails to look like gels! That's not how it works. Pay the extra $10 and get gels and they don't budge after (heck, you can put on tennis shoes right after) AND they are thick, shiny, and last a month or two without chipping. Do not expect any of these benefits from normal polish, which a lot of these reviewers think they do. Also nails are like hair- you can't go in with a picture and expect exact results or you'll never be happy. Anyway, I went in at 9:45am, and they greeted me nicely and seated me immediately after picking my gel color. They had so many options! (Including nudes). The place was clean, and had very nice staff. I was seated with Khonx (pronounced Khon), and she was great, and SO NICE. They serve you free drinks which I thought was cool (I get my toes done all the time out of town and so this was different for me). She was very careful with the gel polish, as you need to be, did the normal 4 coats, and it turned out perfect. At the end, at 10:30 (40 mins total) the pedicure was $40 (which is normal if not cheap for a GEL pedicure!). I told her to run 10 more dollars on my card for a tip and she was so thankful, she said thank you three times and hugged me! This place is the worst! My friend and I went to get mani pedi's and they suck! First of all they got polish all over my friends foot and didnt clean it up and I told the lady who was doing my nails I wanted the same shade of purple as my toes she said ok but nope it's a totally different color purple than my toes, and I wanted a Chevron design on my nails and her lines were so sloppy I could have done a better job with my eyes closed! And then I got my legs waxed and she left my legs hairy and was still on them! I will never ever go to that place again, u should get better quality for the whopping $200 it cost me to do all that, plus it should not be that damn expensive in the first place read more

This place is trash. I've given them chances time and time again after giving me toe fungus twice, then for my acrylic nails I got a white color they turned black after litterly two days. I went back to complain they wanted to charge me $20 to fix them. Save your money and take your business somewhere else! read more

First nails has been getting significantly worse with each time I go. This week I received a acrylic set and every single nail was crooked. when I came back later in the week they treated me like I was trying to get free treatment when I was only trying to get my nails fixed. On many occasions when I go there are other customers coming in to get their nails fixed as well so I know this isn't just a one time occurrence. I have been going here since they opened in 2000. They do a great job. Many services. Eyebrow waxing for $10. That is a great deal. Only reason I did not 5 star them was because the speaking in Viet constantly to each other is kind of rude. read more

This was the second worst pedicure I have had in the last 30 years. When I didn't agree to any of the special treatments (for which they must get commission), the pedicurist couldn't get rid of me fast enough. Less than 15 minutes. She was constantly looking over her shoulder at the door for someone else to come in and as soon as someone did she jumped up and began running the water at another chair. My mani pedi came out dry and looking nice. The man who did it was way too rough, especially with the massage (at least it looked nice). My sister and grandma both had and amazing massage. However, my sister's cuticles were still bleeding on every finger when we left. Also the nail tech who checked my grandma's nails while drying, said that she was fine after only 5 minutes. When she got into the car a couple nails smudged. We had a scheduled appointment. I feel they could have taken their time to do a better job and not try to rush us out just because two people walked in. Today I went to get my nails done because I have prom this weekend. I went in expecting friendly conversation but was very disheartened when I got made fun of instead. The man who did my nails kept making rude comments about me having big hands, he laughed at me when I told him I don't have a boyfriend, and then he painted glitter over my nails because HE didn't like the color I chose. I left in tears. I am NEVER going back again. I demand to be treated like an equal and not a common fool. To top it off, their garbage can was full of Empty Corona bottles, indicating that they may be drinking on the job. Very rude. Very unprofessional. Very unsanitary. read more

First visit: slow, low gel inventory, didn't do as requested and they made my nails too short. Second visit: didn't have any remotely good nude colors and the insisted they understood what I wanted and left with pink nails- note nude, pink. He was very hard with his emory boards and even after I told him it was painful he continued. He didn't ask me what I wanted done so again I left with short nails that were round on top. I could go on but it just gets worse. What really upset me was he followed me to the pay station and was so very nice after being a jerk and wanted to see how much I was going to tip him! I am a business owner. I've been to many, many nail salons. I gave them two tries. I will never go back and suggest that you pick a different salon. read more

I was pressured into getting gel on my toenails which I never do because they last by themselves I always do a couple of extra topcoats within a couple of days of having them done and they did a terrible job on my nails toenails there's a spot where the guy hit my toenail and there's no white tip on that spot in the middle of the toenail and just glob On the nails on my finger looks like I didn't now I see why there aren't very many people there it's just not a good place to go high pressure sales bad job I don't know why they're in business read more

I've going here for 13 years. I've never had a problem. Always good service. . . then they just recently hired a new nail person. I have had her twice. Both times were horrible. She is rough, messy and her nail job is uneven length. Polish job is messy,polish around the cuticles. I have to go home and clean out the excess nail product and file the nails evenly. If you go there ask for one of the guys, they are great! Shy away from the woman. read more

Dirty equipment. Sat me in a chair with old water for my pedi and when they had new water it was cold. Kept trying to get me buy gel when I didn't want it. Cut and burned me when applying my acrylics. Didn't completely coat my nails. read more

Writing this review as I'm still at the salon. I cannot say how much I enjoyed my experience here. Sara was awesome! She made sure my nails were the right shape more than once, made sure that I loved the colors that I picked out. She was patient even though there were many more customers coming in and out. I didn't feel rushed at all. They have fair prices and a wide range of colors to pick from. I will be coming back and I recommend you do too! read more

i belived this place is horrible place to go get nail done. cause me and my girl when there get our pedicure and acrylic nail done is pop out the 3rd days. And my toe nail feel hurt so i used polish removal take out the polish i got on my toe nail . OMG is a fungus. and my kid get her fungus on her finger nails. One of my girl friend try out there new shop 1st spa something she get the same fungus on her toes and she didn't even like to go back there agian. those place is not clean at all even those is all scammers. Dont pay to get fungus which is more expensive price to get beauty with them....... read more

Worst pedicure ever! What are they trying to conserve polish? My feet and hards are lacking the extra coats of polish. I asked her if i can get the same result as the gel sample nail and all she said was ya okay i see what you mean. So she removed me from the pedicure area with out finishing my toes the way i wanted them. When i sat down she had me show her again what i meant with my nails i wanted a fully coated white glitter nail. I asked her if i can get the same result as what was on the nail! She shaped them ok. And when she stared to paint them i thought they would turn out good! I was wrong! I told her that my 4 fingers apart from my accent nail needed more coats she told me no it wouldnt look natural and it would be hard to get off!!!! Mind you i chose glitter nails!!! I visit here now and again, but have been going elsewhere in the last few months, closer to home. Was in Ukiah so stopped in for a Mani-Pedi. They are a large salon, lots of chairs and usually get a friendly hello and a good job. My luck ran out this time. The technician, a young girl with glasses was coughing, sneezing, sniffing and was clearly ill, so I shouldn't be surprised that her results were terrible with many missed painted areas, skin tears and very weak hands for massage, etc. I started out with cold water and it didn't get much better. I had to finish cleaning up my cuticles at home. The only time she looked at and/or spoke was attempting to upsell me to more $$ services, otherwise she kept stopping and looking around talking to others and skipped over fingers/toes/cuticles/snags so I had to keep pointing out all she missed. I asked if I could have a glass of water or tea and she ignored me. Once she was done she disappeared and left me to dry and after flagging someone down to pay (and I always tip well because I know it is a tough job) I left without a return to my goodbye or thanks, the ones waiting for a customer were occupied on phones. I have to say the guy working on a customer next to me seemed very friendly, talkative and doing a good job so in the future if I stop by again I will insist on someone else. read more

I've been to First Nails here, Lakeport and Healdsburg. Trust me, they did a very good job and every one is very nice. They been getting better and better. Especially their nail technicians, your nails will not chip easily. read more

Super duper sketchy nail technicians. The males will hit on you, and are very rude as well. I've had some super nice female techs there, but the polish quality is far from decent. Save your money and go to Today's Nails, or any place with higher standards set for their staff. They also don't take appointments, which really does suck when they're full, and you have to keep coming back to get in. read more

I can not rate this business even one star. I am absolutely disgusted with them. I have had manis and pedis by just about every person in the salon and they are all equal. My first experience with them was in 2002, they cut off my long nails to put on artificials when I specifically asked for a trim and a French mani. NOT FAKE NAILS, BUT MY OWN. Every year for 12 years I would treat myself to a mani pedi in the summer and every year I had someone different. I should have realized after the first experience, but I would receive gift certs from family members. My last visit yesterday was an absolute disaster. They cut my nails off again, put a gel color on that was no where near the original color I had on, and they swore it was the same. Then after paying, the woman turned the LED light off to soon and I was excused, all my nails were bubbled and a mess. My 5 year old daughter does a better job. I went back inside, showed her my nails, she then proceeded to buff the tops and repaint. I asked if I could just put another color of my choice on at home and they would stay strong as a "REAL GEL job" was suppose to. They nodded their heads and I left. Did I mention they have signs posted on all the walls to not speak in Vietnemese, but everyone continues to. The last straw was towards the end when she had answered her phone for the sixth time. Very rude, and very disappointed. Will never, ever again use this salon and will tell everyone I know to instead go else where. read more
