I left a review two+ weeks ago and somehow it has gotten worse. If you are thinking of using this company for a home warranty, just don't. Close your computer and walk away and revisit and find another company to use. This company will cause you to grow grey hair faster than anything else in this world. They won't answer their phones. They won't return an email even though they tell you to email them. They won't help in one bit. We called about our pool in June. We wrote to them to let them know the first company that was contacted didn't want to work with first premier because they have issues getting payment. They then assigned a plumber to our pool. It took 5+ days to get someone else assigned. That person wouldn't answer emails, calls or texts. Then finally said he would come out but then never came and stopped answering calls. I contacted first premier (god forbid) on a Thursday about this after waiting for over 90 plus minutes on hold and using the real estate option to get through, that we needed someone else. We got someone on Monday and that person put in a claim on Tuesday and we still haven't heard from first premier after 6 days and multiple calls that go unanswered and now my 11th email just on this topic alone also unanswered. If you happen to have to use this company know your contract, because they won't. They will tell you it isn't covered. But then you will read the contract back to them and then they will ask you send it to them. We are are still waiting on a check from April! They said it was going to be sent out on July 23rd. It's now been 11 days and coming from New York, not Cape Verde. In conclusion, find anyone but first premier. Please, please do not give them money. My experience with First Premier Home Warranty has involved repeated delays, missing paperwork, poor communication, 1 hour plus hold times, repeatedly hung up on after long hold, and reimbursement checks that I was told were mailed but never received. To receive reimbursement for covered out-of-pocket expenses, First Premier instructed me to sign and email a Cash in Lieu of Repair Form to its claims department. I submitted the form on August 19, 2022, and confirmed by phone that it had been received. When I later followed up, I was told the form could not be located. At First Premier's request, I submitted it again in September 2022. The reimbursement relates in part to service performed by First Premier's designated contractor, Desert Sky AC. On July 27, 2022, Desert Sky AC inspected my air-conditioning unit and charged me the $50 deductible. Because the technician did not have the correct key for the locked refrigerant caps, Desert Sky AC returned on July 29 and charged me an additional $115 to unlock the caps, provide the necessary key, and add refrigerant. The technician told me he disliked working with home-warranty companies and did not want to pursue First Premier for payment. To avoid further delays in getting my air conditioner repaired, I paid the covered charges upfront. I also had to pay other First Premier contractors upfront because they were unwilling to seek payment directly from the warranty company. Additonally, every contractor I spoke with told me that First Premier had misrepresented itself as the property owner or property manager in order to persuade them to accept the service call and come to the property. Since August 2022, I have contacted First Premier's claims department numerous times. I have experienced excessively long hold times, disconnected calls, conflicting information, and promised return calls that never occurred. On separate occasions, representatives told me that three reimbursement checks had been mailed to me. I did not receive them. I asked for the billing department's contact information so I could request tracking information, determine what happened to the missing checks, or obtain the credit-card refund referenced on the Cash in Lieu of Repair Form. Every representative I spoke with told me that customers cannot contact the billing department directly by phone, email, or fax. I most recently spoke with claims representatives Melissa, Pete, and Todd. On February 1, 2023, Todd stated that he would contact the billing department again for an update. After submitting the required paperwork twice, repeatedly following up, and being told multiple checks were mailed, I still had not received the reimbursement owed to me. This company is the worst. I cannot even give them a rating. I've paid two co-pays for two vendors and my plumbing problem that went in July 2 still has not been fixed by them. I had a leak coming out of my ceiling. I was told to remove the ceiling which I did and they still hadn't sent anybody so I'm sitting here with an open ceiling. They do not answer phone calls or emails when you call - they disconnect you constantly.. the vendors also told me that they're submitting the estimates - the company saying that they never received them! I emailed First Premier to let them know and never heard from First Premier again. Now I am trying to cancel my policy. They told me that I need to send an email. Warrenty sales said, you only pay $60 service call send in estimate for repair after it is approved we pay the repair. In response to our claim, the company offered a "cash in lieu of repair" payout of only $75. In what part of the country in 2025 can an oven be replaced for $75? Initially, I assumed this was a mistake, so I contacted customer service and spoke with a supervisor. However, I was informed that this is indeed their policy. I am demanding a full refund for the premiums we have paid, as the company is not providing the coverage it advertises. Furthermore, when I requested to cancel our policy, I was told that we could not do so unless we signed a form accepting the $75 payout. We are not accepting this offer, as it does nothing to resolve the issue. This company is running a deceptive business, collecting monthly payments with no intention of covering legitimate repairs or replacements. As stated in my previous review, a home warranty was purchased for us as part of closing on a new home. We had some issues with the air conditioning, none of which was covered by First Premier. They say they cover everything but they don't. They'll say they will cover your air conditioner, just none of the components inside the air conditioner. This home warranty is useless and a waste of money. We never received any policy documents when we signed up so we weren't aware of what was covered and what wasn't. Upon learning that almost nothing is covered, we promptly cancelled. That may sound all fine and dandy but they tried to scam us on the cancellation. The warranty was purchased for $499 in July 2023 and cancelled in October 2023 and they were only going to give me $18 back. I fought with them and they agreed to refund $300 even though they never sent the policy documents and mistreated me throughout the few months we dealt with them. I spoke with a manager named Todd (who knows if that's his real name because I've spoken with him multiple times and each time he would say a different name). Once we agreed on the $300 he had me sign a document and said that I would receive the $300 check in 30 days from when I sent back the form. I sent back the form in October and didn't receive the payment until March and each time I'd call I'd get a different reason as to why it wasn't sent, sometimes the info would conflict with what a prior agent told me. One agent told me they received the form, another said they didn't. The company is all over the place and is highly unorganized. Total scam! Beware! This company is a fraud company. I have a claim from 23rd November, 2024, still did not get the cash offer i signed to accept. Basically, it pays back very little money of the actual repair cost if you are lucky. That also you have to wait months and months. Instead you can shop your repair options or may be purchasing the whole appliance would be better option. This company made me suffer everyway. So created the claim for refrigerator issue on 23rd Nov 2024. Now the repair man came the one they selected. I was supposed to pay copay of $45 as per VIP program I enrolled on for $2500 paid upfront. But now this company asked me to pay $85 copay. Okay, paid that. Now repair man game an estimate of $488 to fix the refrigerator. Contacted First Premier Home Warranty many times but finally on 9th Dec 2024, they sent me a cash in lie of claim form which is the only option they gave me that also for $220 which I am still waiting to get in the mid Feb 2025. read more

This company is awful! I am on my third cash in lieu where I'm having difficulty getting payment. The first time took just over a month, the second time about a month and a half, and this time, it's been almost 3 months and still nothing. The operators with customer service say they are transferring me to a supervisor or the billing department, but they have no ability to do that (I've been told by other operators) and they just drop my call entirely. I've emailed and they say I need to call the customer service department. It's a vicious cycle. I have reported them to the Alabama Department of Insurance for the second time. The process is long. I paid my co pay, and then received a bill from the AC company. I explained to AC company, "I am not responsible to pay this bill." This went on for months. When I insisted he look into all of my claims, he said "you are starting to annoy me" when I kept going he said, "you said you're a single mom?" "may I speak to your husband? Where is he?"
