Had them out of our subdivision street within 5 minutes (big tree too) I told him about a large birch tree I wanted removed by my front porch because of the vast amount of nuts in the fall. He told me it was healthy and why cut it down and talked me out of doing it. Wow, that's a rare quality these days. Also trimmed some big limbs that were too close to our chimney. After he was done he blew our roof clean, that was a pleasant surprise. He also blew all the leaves and debris out of our yard...super bonus for us! I have NEVER had my yard blown after my trees were cut down using 3 other tree services. I got quotes from the Val Pak and Money Mailer tree services with their 25% off coupons. All were late to their appts. Even with their supposedly 25% off discount Danny Birchman came in $100 cheaper. Biggest plus, he was always on time for our appt quote and the day of cutting. This is the second time using his services. I now know when I need tree services I'm only calling Danny Birchman. He's HONEST, nice, great suggestions, after a bad storm he text me to make sure we were ok, takes care of existing customers very well, raised in Cobb County & cares about his reputation. I'm sure our job was smaller than what his company usually takes on, being only a ~1 acre lot, but all the same, Josh was professional, punctual and overall just a pleasure to work with. We also felt his quoted price was VERY reasonable, being at the low end of what we'd been anticipating spending on the job. He let us know when he'd be able to get the equipment up our way (in a couple weeks, after his company finished with a larger job) and his guys showed up with the mulcher on time and did the work quickly. Extra props and appreciation to the workers, since our lot, although small, is a pain because it's steeply and unevenly graded. Even when it started raining, they kept working til the job was done. Overall I think Josh really takes professionalism to heart, while still providing a great value even for customers like us with smaller jobs. I would recommend his company to anyone in need of lot clearing, and in the future if I need this service again he will be the first one I call.

The team took down about 13 trees for me in about 5 hours and they were clearly experienced. However, the clean up process left me wanting more. Unfortunately the team showed up a day after a heavy rain and my entire back yard took a beating, as did the lot next to me where they drove the log truck and bobcat. Additionally, the road in front of my driveway was covered with mud and I'm in a community with an HOA. I asked Josh about clean up, and he said the team would rake it over and clean up the road before they left, which they didn't. Josh even said he would come back and help me spread grass seed and straw over the lot beside me if I would go purchase, which I did but he never showed. I even asked if Josh would come back after the stump grinding to help grade the back area and I would pay him over his normal rate for two hours of work, and he agreed. That's where the transaction went sideways. Josh was hard to get in touch with and never showed back up. He didn't call to negotiate for more money or anything. The few texts I received just said I will be out this weekend or sometime next week. Three weeks later I called and left him a voicemail and said not to worry about coming back. I was left with about 25 hours worth of work and additional expenses for equipment rentals. Just beware what you are getting into when you hire for tree services. I was left with a mess for a backyard, many hours of labor and several hundred dollars of additional expenses for more work to the area before it will be considered "finished." Might be wise to ask your contractor these types of questions upfront and avoid unmet expectations. Price was competitive, tree work was good, cleanup and communication was poor, and follow thru was lacking. Best of luck if you choose these guys in the future!
