This restaurant can be accessed at ground level outside using the clear tube shaped glass elevator…read morethat also takes you to Fitness First Platinum gym that is right above. The Europepassage is an average mall itself, but Se7en Oceans is not your typical "mall quality" restaurant. There is a main area upfront that resembles more an open, yet loungy bar that has nice views of the lake. It is first come first serve, reservations are not necessary and if at night, sometimes not even possible in the Bistro area. This outside seating location serves sushi and other lighter menu options, but if you want to try the full seafood menu, you must sit in the main dining room, which does require reservations, especially if you would like to reserve a window seat for the special ambience at night.
The fish is good and there is also an oyster bar of options if you crave shell fish. Sushi is served for dinner as well, but since eating quality sushi is easy to find in Hamburg, one is better off ordering fish or perhaps a surf & turf if available. This place feels romantic somehow to me, whether I am in the bistro or in the main dining area. One could dress casual in the bistro but the main dining room feels a bit more formal, so shine those shoes and if you are a guy, a sports coat is not inappropriate, though not necessary either.
