I have ordered a lot of custom fishing reels from Fishermans World, I have always had great, polite, customer service. Ashley Mola is the best, she makes sure that everything within her power is correct and follows up after the sale to make sure that I am happy with my purchase. Fishermans world is a stand up, reputable company that is competitively priced. Finally never have I been the least bit disappointed with any dealings with Ashley and Fishermans World. read more

Ashley is a damn LIAR! No one was trying to work with me, as a matter a fact I was was trying to work with them but they kept trying to give me a used reel with a damaged wet box. They didn't do anything special for my family in the past, just another lie. They tried to rip me off by giving me a used reel in a damaged wet box not to mention the childish mocking and laughing the whole time. I have never had such bad customer service in my life! That's what happens when you let your asshole kids run the business and they hire assholes employees. And as for you Ashley I don't even know you so stop the lies BITCH! read more

These guys have excellent customer service, i bought a reel online and needed to return it, I got my refund right away and they even paid for shipping it back to the warehouse. Definitely trust them to buy more items in the near future. read more

I've been to many tackle shops in my many years of fishing. This has to be the friendliest place and the most knowledgeable shop I've ever experienced! I had to exchange a rod, it was not a problem. And, they sold me the perfect rod (I needed a longer foregrip and butt). All the guys were super friendly and helpful. They are not shy about dispensing info and you can tell that this is not just about a job, they all have a deep passion to help you succeed in your next fishing trip. I will definately be visiting them again. read more

I can't believe I never rated this place! Not only a great bait and tackle shop but a great selection of everything fishing salt and fresh. Awesome service, knowledgeable, friendly staff. I don't expect to get the best deal especially with on-line and Bass Pro in the area but I choose to support this business because it would be a great loss to fisherman to lose it. Shops like this won't survive on bait sales and licenses. How many more bait shops do you want to lose? read more

Place has everything one can want in the shop. They offer all the repair services one can want. The people that work there are honest and fair. I've taken rods and reels in for repair and could of been sold on more expensive services. Max that works there treats all like friends and family. The local knowledge on water and technique is some of the best instruction I've ever heard. Glad to have such a great shop in the city I live.... read more

They do not care about clients at all. On website season hours are from 5 AM on the store door 5:30 AM and thay opened on May 11 at 6:10 with at least 10 clients waiting outside. No excuse or explenation whatsoever read more

Place is great when it comes to bait and equipment you absolutely need, but it's way overpriced. The people there are friendly enough though and as far as bait stores go in this area it will do. read more

Hello yelpers out there! I never thought i would create a account to leave comment but this is the store with 5 star service got me the passion to do it. I ordered airwave rod from the website and didn't receive the order status for two days so i decide to email them to see whats going on. After one minute they reply back the email saying the rod went out of stock same time when i placed the order. So they offer to upgrade me to better rod ! The upgrade of rod so kind of them. The speedy response is what make them awesome! In the future if i need another rod for sure this store will be the top priority! read more

I ordered a Yeti cooler from Fisherman's World online because their price was better than anywhere else plus expedited shipping to Hawaii was literally half what everyone else quoted. Exactly 70 hours later it was delivered, which means they didn't waste any time processing the order and getting it out. I'm impressed. read more

Aside from the price issue complaint, the shop itself is very cute. Everything decorated there looks like a winter wonderland during December. As the name suggests, they have a large nursery section for all sorts of plants throughout the shop. They also have many curated decorative and gift type items for sale. They have small sections of sale items which have very specific brands or circumstances that they apply to. Given the neighborhood demographic the steep prices are not surprising. If you find something you like here, it may be worth looking into how to get the item directly from the seller. One of the main benefits is that this is indoors and directly attached to the café, which I enjoyed much more. It's always fun to walk around and digest to browse after a meal.

This is THE BEST one stop tackle shop in the USA. My first rod was purchased here. Ever since then I have been purchasing all my gear here from trout to tuna. They have everything you can possibly need and more, not to mention run a full online business. The best part is it's family owned, and the staff and owners are all very knowledgeable. You get "reel" fishermen with "reel" expert advise - something you're not going to find at a Bass Pro or Dicks Sporting Center. The salesmen are extremely passionate about the advice they give anglers and want their customers to succeed on the water. It is a 3rd generation family business. Rick Mola is a local legend in Long Island Sound and offshore fishing for tuna. He has helped me through the years become a great fisherman. If I become half of the fisherman he is now I would be happy with that. His daughter Ashley runs a fantastic online department there and strives for the best online customer service, which is hard to find nowadays! I've been going to fisherman's world for almost 40 years !! It is one of the best tackle shops in Connecticut !! They are always well stocked with all the latest and greatest equipment!! but what really puts them on top are the guys that work there !! They are so knowledgeable not only about the equipment they are selling but the sport of fishing. They really love what they do and are supper friendly!!
