I went in to purchase lotto tickets with money in hand. They had regular lotto and mega, but no power ball ticket, but there was Teddy too busy talking to a woman. Not a customer. And talking and talking, finally she leaves and here comes another one this time he starts on the phone. Meanwhile, I am standing there. He can tell I am getting a bit pissed. I was about to walk out, I can find somewhere else to purchase my ticket. He finally asked what I wanted. I got my tickets. But if I go in again and he is there. I will just walk out. read more

Been here a couple of times since my friend lives nearby. I mainly come for the beer but it's got some crowded aisles with varying types of liquor. It's nothing fancy, not that huge, and surprisingly the prices are not as "discount" as the name had me believe. But it's got a little of everything, enough variety in the fridge, and it's that little neighborhood place that I would feel bad giving just 3 stars to the nice people who frequent the spot. When you stroll into this establishment, your choices of beverages to choose from are a'plenty. Not nearly as large as Halftime's, but they've got a sound selection of beers - both domestic and imported. There's also a bottle return area around the side, in addition to plenty of parking. The folks that work there are pleasant and extremely helpful as well, so if you're not so sure on what you're in the mood for or can't find a particular beverage, they'll be there to help. This place has become my go to every time I have a trip up to Newburgh. It's conveniently located right off rt 84 only about a mile away and a direct shot. My ultimate goal is to search out craft beer that I cannot access in CT. Had some great finds on this past trip with 21st amendment brewery hop crisis and brew free or die. Brooklyn "kelso" and the ballast point double IPA dorado. I highly recommend for the amount and awesome selection with a wait staff that is super cool and helpful. Bring your empty growler because the have a rotation of craft beer on tap! Look forward to returning. read more

So disappointed with this place. After purchasing 2 half sized kegs for a birthday party, we found that one was unusable since it basically produced only foam. When we went to return the keg that was 3/4 full, we explained our situation and showed them the problem. The ladies told us to come by the next day because we had to speak to the owner. Well that next day came and we were told that there was no problem with the keg because once they put a new tap on it, it worked fine. Great but that means that the tap was defective. I asked for them to work with me -- I protected your merchandise, you should protect me and offer some sort of discount. Ignored. I am going on my third day of trying to find out if someone spoke to the owner since that is the only person that could make decisions. The customer service is horrible. While trying to explain and talk with one of the workers, I was rudely interrupted. I gave my phone number to have the owner call me back and is still waiting for a phone call. Definately will not be doing any more business with this company. read more

I have seen some bad businesses in my time but this place is the worst. Besides selling products way past the date(ex. beer that was a year past date, chips 4 months past date) the woman behind the counter is just plain out a BYTCH. The Redemption center consistently shorts its customers on bottle returns not to mention will not accept quite a few products even though they say NY right on the product. I will be more than glad to drive the extra distance in the future and pay more money for a product before I support those crooks. That includes bottle returns as well. Please do not waste your hard earned money on a business that does nothing for the people that keeps its doors open and food on thier plates. Do not take your bottle returns there as well unless you dont mind peeing away your deposit money. You deserve better! read more
