The equipment that I have used has been clean. And the circuit room everyone has adhered to the timing and movement. I have used red light therapy and tanning and found them both to be clean and in good working order. The staff at the front desk have been quick to assist me or offer help. I was given a very informative tour through the whole gym. I am 55 years old and recovering from an accident and found this gym to be a safe place for me and easy to access the equipment. I have not personally run into any broken equipment, and I've also used the treadmills. I tend to be easily overwhelmed or stressed by loud noises since my head injury and I don't have any issues at this gym. Somebody mentioned that the music was too loud and it didn't bother me at all. When I go there, it seems to me that there is a lot of equipment available, no need to wait for anything that I want to use and really nothing to complain about. So in all fairness to the young staff, who's been more than kind to me and to the equipment and the facility my experience was positive. You get an incredible deal on the membership price here and if it was any less, I don't think they could keep their doors open. So for what you're paying for you get your money's worth.

What kind of gym only has one staff member available? Since I couldn't tour, I stayed in the lobby and looked at the equipment within eyesight. After 10 minutes rude Karen TELLS ME I CAN'T DO THAT and that I need to leave. I explained I wasn't bothering anyone and asked why she's talking to a potential customer like this? But she said she wasn't going to argue with me and "At this point, you just need to leave." Jeez. No wonder Planet Fitness has a garbage reputation. I'm so glad Karen at the front desk stopped me from becoming a customer. Just 20 min earlier, I toured a different gym a block away. The staff were kind, respectful, and let me tour and try out their equipment as much as I wanted. I know it isn't too much to have decent customer service!

Weight machines, free weights, bench and squat racks, group fitness studios, lap pool, basketball courts, rock wall and bouldering area, cardio machines, running track, TRX/free training area, outdoor tire flipping space, outdoor turf fields, and indoor/outdoor tennis are all options here. I feel that even at its peak hours, there are open weight machines and spaces to train (knock on wood that it stays that way in January). As far as the equipment goes, it's new and works great. I haven't seen a single piece of broken equipment in my month of training here, and I come five days per week. Additionally, there's a lobby with a huge TV for game watch parties. The staff is very friendly and helpful! If you go to UO, check this place out for your workout! I also believe there are guest passes available for sale for members of the Eugene/Springfield community.

On a Saturday closed at 2:30, 6.5 hours before their posted close, and 2 hours before kickoff of the game their spoiled, entitled brat student employees want to go to, or so they told me when I gave them feedback about the ease with which they close their doors when the schedule indicates they will be open. "I don't want to be here I want to go to the game" - a literal quote from one of the "employees" of this facility.

I woke up one day and was depressed and saddened by what my body has become. I was 551 pounds with a little girl and it hit me like a ton of bricks I'm going to die before she graduates high school. I'm going to miss a lot of first and she's going to miss her father. Now I have exercised in the past as a young man and it was never fun for me. Running sucks, Just weight lifting sucks even walking into a gym gave me more anxiety than I can express. So I decided maybe learning something while I exercise would work. I looked at BJJ , karate, and number of other things but I'm not big on sweating all over other people. Boxing stood out to me for a number of reasons, full body work out, hard cardio workout and in a pinch maybe I could fight off multiple attackers if need be. That's when I found this gym empire! Good reviews close to my house and the classes fit with my schedule. It went very fast and efficient to sign up and pay. Sign a weaver and boom! I was in class. Adam and Ryan are my coaches and they know why I was there on the first day. It's either this or die for me. I don't want to sound hyperbolic but In all understanding that what it was for me. Adam and Ryan are both understanding of my situation but also push me to do more then I think I can. If I'm slipping or dropping my hands to breathe I can hear a " hands up" and that's my hint to bring them up. It's ok to breathe but never drop your guard I'm told. They don't over look anything I do if I miss a beat or "paw" at a bag because "I'm just there to exercise". I'm expected to do my best and no one is ever left behind. If you need a quick refresher they are there to help in the most productive way possible. it seems to me everyone is in different fitness levels and they cater to that. It doesn't matter what your fitness level is. This gym is here to help. Adam and Ryan seem to genuinely care about the health and progress you make in this class. They are up lifting and ready to help. I can't say enough good things about empire boxing and fitness. The only thing I have lost joining this gym so far has been 29 pounds and a little anxiety.
