Very clean gym, Black card membership, worth every penny, equipment clean, dusted and working order, bathroom, clean lockers polished. Appreciate the tanning boots, red light therapy, Hydro, massage, chairs, shiatsu, massage, chairs, very nice touch.

6 broken machines visible in one picture taken 2/1/25. 45% of bike machines are broken.

Broken machines that are offline for weeks and months. Staff plays music way too loud. Nearly every member uses their own headphones and tries to play their own music. But you will need to blast your music super high to hear over the music played on the gym speakers.

This location is beyond filthy. I scrolled through the reviews to see if I was just being judgmental but no, many others have noticed too and have left reviews about how dirty of a place. They must be doing the absolute bare minimum as far as cleaning goes. I was beyond disgusted when I walked into a tanning booth there and saw this inside. The past few times I've noticed the floor and walls very yucky as well but never this bad. So unpleasant, management do something please!!!

That is the business you should probably not go

I paid for a 24 hour membership. I fell asleep in the parking lot got harassed by security that I could not sleep in the parking lot when his side said something to one of the employees he said you're not allowed to sleep in the parking lot this is for working out only Called corporate had a conversation with him. They're on my way out. I said have a nice day. I guess we'll talk in a little while. I proceeded to tell me that I'm not allowed to sleep in the parking lot. I could just show off, waved his hand at me Rude disrespectful. I should be allowed to sleep in the parking lot if I'm tired and don't feel like I can drive yet and not be harassed by disrespectful in place very unhappy with customer service. They're rude disrespectful and don't even know the rules of their own gym. I've slept in 24 hour planet fitness parking lotfirst time I've ever been harassed security guard laughed on my way in the door about it.

Like seriously?! This is only one machine

The gym on west 11th is awful. My back was injured on faulty equipment on Friday and I have not heard back from anyone after asking for the manager to call me back. It's usually dirty, the massage chairs are out dated and hurt when your using them. The staff most of the time is so busy flirting that they pay no attention to other people. I saw a very large lady come in on Sunday and all 3 staffers turned their back on her. I was so beyond sad for this lady. I've gotten to where I really can't stand this place any longer. After being a member since they opened, I'm OUT! You, as an owner should be ashamed of yourself. There's so much more but I'm out of time. Love to all. The other planet fitness gyms are great! I'm pretty sure that you are not following Planet Fitness contract.

You walk in and immediately get hit with chemicals, and it's difficult to work out in an environment (esp where asthma or chemical sensitivities aren't considered), and an owner that doesn't make health a #1 priority for everyone. Just go online and you can find that these chemicals are irritants for lungs and mucus membranes. Hello? We're breathing hard in there working out! In speaking with the owner on the phone directly, she made mention that people complained about the bathrooms smelling and thus why they now pump chemicals throughout. The solution isn't to pump chemicals into the entire facility. Keep it in the bathrooms if that's the issue. She wasn't willing to bend on reducing the chemical use. Very disappointing. I really like the atmosphere otherwise, nice people, decent equipment. I Just wish the owner had more tact around keeping the air healthy for everyone, as 15 minutes is about all I can tolerate in this place at any given time.

In my time there I have seen young and old come and workout here with no issues. The gym being as large as it is gives a good selection of things to do. All the equipment is new and very well maintained. However it being such a great gym means more people and your typical busy hours are BUSY. 5-7 pm is a madhouse. If you can swing earlier or later than that I would unless you don't mind waiting for equipment. This gym has free classes that a treated as first come first serve which is very nice. My wife had done their spin class and loves it. Also they have included with membership FREE tans in very nice tanning beds. I believes they have about 8 beds and I have never had to wait for one. That being said if you did have to wait, they have comfortable seating as well as FREE fully body massage chairs in a dim lit room to relax in. I have been a member of many gyms and this one for what it offers at the low price of 25.00$ a MONTH! It's an amazing deal. I have one complaint and this I believe is aimed more towards gym goers than staff. The men's locker room specifically the bathroom side has been very dirty at times. I don't know if it's the carelessness of the members to splash water all over the sink and floor or to not flush the toilets and leave paper towels on the ground but come on, grown ass adults here clean up your shit. This is a very busy gym with people coming and going throughout the day and staff can't singlehandedly stay on top of picking up after all the dirty people. Clean up your shit. Long story short, 25$ includes gym, classes, massage chairs, and tanning. Try and top that anywhere else in the area.

Make no mistake, this is still very much a Man's gym…read more My best girlfriend had been going to the Y, taking classes, fully participating in activities offered, etc. for quite some time and had convinced me to go with her and try her gym. We did a brief tour and went into the lapswim pool, after 15minutes we combined and split a lane to help accommodate the new people coming in. 45 minutes into our mindful movement/isolation exercises we were approached by pair of younger men who had been watching our lane and were asked to move over to the next lane because "they couldn't swim the way they wanted to" in that lane. My friend obliged, and we moved over and continued with our routine. When we swam by the lifeguard who had watched the exchange, my friend asked her for clarification on what made the end lane special and why we were asked to move. The lifeguard informed us that we were now in the walking aerobic lane, which did not permit lane swimming- which we had been doing, and that the men shouldn't have asked us to leave our lane, essentially booting us from the equiptment we were using. We weren't done with our workouts. My friend asked why we were then asked to exit our lane, and the lifeguard called for a higher authority on her walkie-talkie. We exited the walking lane and after a moment a woman who had been speaking to the lifeguard approached us and introduced herself as the Aquadic Director, she asked us to explain what happened. And after reiterating the same story the lifeguard had told her, she explained to us that the only other option the pair of men would have had was to join our lane and circulate swim with us. We didn't have an issue with that. We asked who has priority to equipment and were told it was a first-come-first-serve system. Rather than elbowing our way back into our lane with two men that outsized us, we decided to end our gym experience early but my friend told the director that she wanted those rules explained to the offending guys, and that's where the problem lied. This woman had an immediate hesitation and began stammering on how she didn't want to escalate the situation by bothering them if we were going to leave. My friend insisted it was the principle of the matter, and that if the gym didn't have a priority list than the same set of rules should be followed by all paying patrons. The Aquadic Director had absolutely zero interest in approaching the pair of men who asked us to move for them and after a moment of back and forth between her and my friend, I calmly said, "This is bullshit." This gave the Aquadic Director the out she needed and she quickly turned the conversation to lecture me on how profanity isn't accepted on the pool deck. We were three adult women without a child in sight, having a conversation amongst ourselves, but I told her I understood and was on my way out. I returned to the locker room, showered and changed, and met back up with my friend who I left by the poolside to continue with the Aquadic Director, who did reluctantly have a brief conversation with the two guys at the insistence of my friend. As we were leaving the locker room a male employee pulled my friend aside and said that the Aquadic Director wanted to have another conversation. We told him that was fine, but we weren't going to have it in the locker room shower hall, and moved it to the lobby. We waited for the Aquadic Director in the lobby of the Y for no less than 5 minutes, zero appearance. My friend told the male employee that the locker rooms were not an appropriate place to ambush two women into conversation, and that in the future exiting members will most likely by found by the exit. The employee, Carson, said we weren't in the locker room, even though we were surrounded by lockers and a bay of showers when he stopped us from leaving. He literally turned his back to us mid conversation to instead pace up and down the hall and speak with another employee. After an interrupted workout, staff's unwillingness to address gym issues, an ambush in the locker room, and literally having employees turn their backs to us after being asked to wait to speak with them- we left. It was quite the mental workout, if nothing else. Needless to say, the Younge Men's Christian Association is still very much a male centered gym, when they have Women and Colored's events we may be inclined to try to lapswim again, but in the meantime I'd advise againt recommending this place to a wider demographic. I'm sorry my friend wasted her visitors' pass on me, but I think this experience was enough to decide membership dues on.
