We LOVE Fit By Five! Both my children (2 and 4) attend and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. I knew my 4 year old daughter would thrive, she loves learning and typically does well in any kind of environment. But I wasn't expecting her to learn so much while having fun, she loves all the obstacles and new things she gets to try. I thought my 2 year old son would really struggle, he can be pretty difficult at home but the transition for him couldn't have been easier. My son was too fit for fit by 5. My son is athletic and an average 4 year old little boy. Well don't send your kid if this is them. Without any discussions, conversation or any communication at all, we wake up to an email saying our son is kicked out of their program for "not making progress" , and by they meant that he goes through the obstacles too quick, and gets antsy waiting. The new owners and the teachers are lazy, and shouldn't be teaching kids if they need any extra attention. They make it very clear they do NOT want to have to work one on one with any child that needs it. Save yourself the time, money, aggravation. Save yourself the headache and don't enroll if your child has a speech delay. Fit by Five will not work with your child in any capacity if they feel that they will not sit perfectly on the carpet by day 2. The Perky Kids director Ms. Lopez has a very prickly personality. After one day of class she expects all students to have it down. They are 2 years old. As someone who is in education and a teacher I would love to know what she thinks is the reality of any classroom in America. If you do not think your child will have it down by class #2 please avoid and save your money for an educational establishment that will work to support children not just look for compliance versus engagement. read more

Before you sign your child up for fit-by-five, you should understand the owner of fit-by-five is the kind of person who will knowingly take money from a previously satisfied customer without providing any service in return. We have had children who have gone through the fit-by-five program in the past and were satisfied with the service they provide. My son would have started his first month in the program in the fall of 2021. He was signed up when pandemic restrictions were loosening and things seemed to be on the upswing. We paid the requested tuition for the first month of classes in July as requested. As another surge of COVID-19 came through, the official guidance from the CDC changed so that it was recommended that everyone (vaccinated and unvaccinated) should wear masks indoors. When we inquired about their policy, we found that Fit-by-five chose to ignore this advice and required neither masks for students or their teachers. We did not feel comfortable sending our son into a program that chose to ignore CDC guidelines with respect to masking. We let fit-by-five know that we would not send our son to their program several weeks before the start of the school year. At the time, the fit-by-five class was not on a waitlist and there were multiple empty spots in the class my son was signed up for. As a business in the US, I believe fit-by-five should have the ability to choose their mask policy. I also believe I should be able to choose not to send my son to a program that ignores public health guidelines from during a pandemic. The owner of fit-by-five absolutely refused to refund my first month's tuition even though there was a reasonable reason to cancel, the cancelation occurred well before the start of classes, and my son's spot did not prevent any other student from enrolling in the program because there were still open spots in the class. The owner of fit-by-five chose to pocket my $200 without providing any service in return. This program is not run by the kind of person I want to educate my 3-year old son and I hope you consider this before signing your child up. read more

Both of my boys went through the entire program at Fit By Five. I drove from Avon Lake just for this program. The boys got to be silly, play, and learn all at the same time. They were well prepared for school. Now, they are in 2nd and 4th grade and they still talk about this school with fondness. The director is wonderful with your tuition as well. He is often fixing the grounds himself. My personal favorite, they NEVER asked for fundraisers. If you wanted to, you could bring in a snack but that is it. read more

I wish I could give Fit By Five a 5 star review. And I would have until I found out that they condone and accept parents to Conceal Carry handguns into the school! The sad thing is, if the director had mentioned it to the parents instead of hiding it and the parents having to find out about it on their own, it might be a different story. Unfortunately, when confronted with this issue, the director says I should be thankful that a parent I don't know, have never been introduced to, have never been told is allowed to carry a gun into my child's school, for all I know is psychotic is keeping my child safe. The director actually tried to justify the lack of caring or concern for my feelings. For putting my child in harms way. Not only do they condone it, but find it perfectly acceptable in keeping it silent towards the other parents who bring their children to this facility. While the program may be good, the fact they knowingly accept, condone and hide a parent concealing a weapon in a school with 2 to 6 year olds in it is incredibly upsetting and disappointing. I would recommend staying away from a Fit by Five until they acknowledge what they have been hiding from parents is of grave concern to many. read more

We had such a wonderful experience with Fit By Five. My son attended their Perky Kids - 2 year old program which was very well tailored to his age. The class focused on letters/numbers, physical play, social skills, and independance. I can't say enough good things about his teachers and the director. The office staff was also wonderful. Its a difficult thing for a mom to send her 2 year old off to school and all/any of my concerns were addressed. If he was upset at drop off, I would call and ask for someone to check on him, which they gladly did. I would highly recommend this preschool to anyone. read more

had my child in that school, he was only 2 years old , wife picked him up from school, and said he looked really sad. upon further investigation, wife went to school and found out teacher put him in time out, can't believe such practice for kids at this age. I send him to school to play and interact with other kids and have fun not sit in time out at 2 years old.. avoid this school for your kids at all cost, there are other great schools in the area like play and learn with real teachers and with academic back grounds, not tattoos.!!!! read more

Both my son and myself absolutely LOVE Fit By 5 and it's staff. My son is not an easy child. He's hyperactive, emotional and trying most days. Typical preschool environments just weren't going to work for him. Fit By 5 is such a unique school environment. First, the school is built for creative play and exercise. Kids are not expected to sit at tables all day. They have sit down crafts as well as education but it's mixed in with free play. There's an obstacle course that gets changed daily or weekly, slides, trampolines, balance beams, a rope swing, gymnastics mats, as well as cute activities, lots of song and dance and that's just what's INSIDE! When I went on a tour of the school I was at first concerned because their outdoor area had no swings, slides and jungle gyms. Now I see why. Instead of leaving the kids to do the normal slide/swing repeat routine they change what activities are outside on a normal basis to encourage creative play. Everything from sand boxes and dinosaurs to tee-pees. Each week has a theme overall for the class. My son's favorite was Water Week. Outside they had sprinklers, slip and slides and water activities. On top of all this the staff is amazing. Most schools are great the first few weeks, then it steadily gets boring, the teachers seem to lose their enthusiasm and so do the kids. Nor do here. The teachers are enthusiastic everyday throughout the program. There is a very low turn 0ver rate meaning your kids will have the same teachers instead of meeting new people constantly. I qualify for free preschool but instead send my son here and find ways to cut corners for his tuition. I cannot picture him being anywhere else! I highly recommend you just come in for a tour, you we see just how special and unique this school is!! read more
