We were then eventually allowed to go inside to order our drinks to which our friend who was picked on at the door was not allowed any alcohol to which we still explained her disability to which they persisted that she was not allowed and Alcohol, shortly after this they said she was unable to play all together and that they would refund her, however we still did not find this very fair given the circumstances the manager still persisted to single my disabled friend out and make the situation worse, and the manager did not give any sympathy to the fact they had made my friend cry over this whole situation.. We then got some drinks at the bar, which were disgusting, might I add that I ordered a gin and lemonade, however I would say this was just a bland drink of ice, more than anything else.. I find it very frustrating that not only did they accuse my friend of being intoxicated, they are more than happy to serve you alcohol at the bar as much as you want, yet they then say if your too intoxicated you are unable to play yet they are happy to pour out as many drinks possible... We spoke to the security and manager on multiple occasions to explained the situation however they couldn't of cared any less and where completely unreasonable given the situation.. Before leaving a few people decided to use the toilets before going elsewhere to which we were greeted by a few women who were so pissed they could hardly go to the toilet themselves, let alone play crazy golf, however they were given entry and were allowed to play crazy golf as well as keep getting drinks at the bar.. Based on this experience I would not recommend as they are very unreasonable and unfair to customers, even more so discriminating people who are disabled, highly disappointed and a waste of time, will definitely not return.

On top of offering an awe-inspiring venue, the staff I've encountered have been absolutely lovely. Even when they spot something going less-than-right, they come by to gently offer words of wisdom rather than scathing criticism. Plus, as manual as the check-in process here is*, the front desk employees keep things moving right along. I've first heard about this place when I was telling a friend about my wonderful experience at the Turkish "Hamam" in Dalston. My friend listened attentively to my story and then told me about this place in the docklands...I started doing some research about it the very same evening. Let me preface the following paragraphs by saying that I really like going to saunas: I treasure the whole spa-like experience that goes along with it. Yet, I'm not a fan of the high-end spas that have popped up everywhere these days. I prefer the down-to-earth saunas where locals go and where you don't have to save up for months for a single visit. The New Docklands Steam Baths fit this bill perfectly: upon my arrival I already sensed that I had discovered something unique. The bath is located in a very much deprecated area; many Londoners probably wouldn't set foot here. Outside the place I saw many black cabs parked as well quite a few Mercedes. Once inside I found my way to the café-area where the register is. I paid £14 plus a £10 deposit for the locker key. I went to change and dressed up in my bathrobe and my pechtemal (a traditional Turkish towel used in hamams) and then I ventured down into the baths. And let me tell you: it's gritty down there: not in a dirty and disgusting way though, but because of the kind of characters you find there and the way they interact with each other. I first walked around and familiarized myself with the localities: two dry saunas, and various steam rooms with varying degrees of humidity. While doing my online-research about this place I came across an article, in which the author talks about the two main sauna traditions being nurtured here: The Russian tradition of 'Venik' where you first heat up in the sauna and then beat yourself (or each other) with oak or birch branches that have been dried first and then soaked in water. And then there's the Jewish bathing ritual of "Schmeissing", where the men take turns in scrubbing each other down from top-to-bottom. This is done where one guy lays down on a bench in the very hot & steamy room and the other guy lavers him up, using what looks like cleaning mop and it works like a giant shaving brush. The "Schmeissing" seems to be a very ritualized and cliquish undertaking. I was talking to a regular, who mentioned that these guys are a club and meet regularly. According to my source, there's even a pecking order and it's quite hard to become part of this club. The Russians or Eastern Europeans seem to be less organized, but during my visit they would all arrive in pairs or small groups. They would all wear these funny felt hats, which protect the hat from the intense heat. (Note to myself: I need to get one of these!) When I arrived I was reading about the possibility of booking a massage. My inquiry with some of the locals resulted in the following answer: "Yeah, talk to Simon, the heavily-tattooed guy who's relaxing in the steam room over there." Non sooner advised than done. I went up to Simon and he told me that he'd be happy to give me a massage in about half-an-hours time. Deal! I made the best use of the 30 minutes and went into the hottest sauna and beat myself up with oak branches... Turns out that Simon had actually grown up in Germany and so we chatted in German for some time. Then he suggested that I should just relax and let him do his work. It was really a very nice massage and I felt great afterwards. I paid £15 for a thirty-minutes massage. (60 minutes would be £25.) Aside from the Jewish and Russian men, there's a third group of men here: the can drivers (my guess). They mostly sat in the common area, chatting and washing themselves ritually. It's really a funny bunch that hangs out here...including myself! All in all, I find this to be a wonderful oasis of some old-world London. I'm so glad that a place like this still exists. I might not become a regular, but I will certainly be back!

The bowling lanes are great fun and the karaoke room is sound proof meaning that it does not disturb the live music in the main room. The karaoke system is also of a high quality and has the largest collection of songs I have ever seen! There is also a hot tub which seems like a bit of an unusual addition - I didn't try that one out! The bar staff are friendly and at around £3.50 for a glass of wine the prices are reasonable. The venue is actually very difficult to find however as is also located in the same building as the Bloomsbury Lanes so it can get quite confusing when trying to locate the place. Kelly dealt with my booking and was fantastic - she made the day run as smoothly as possible and everyone had a great time. This would make a great venue for a Christmas Party.

Recently it's clear the focus has shifted on acquisition rather than retention of members, resulting in the following pain points: - Changing rooms get super crowded: hard to find a free locker, bumping into other people post shower due to sheer lack of space, frequently having to queue for hairdryers - Queueing (behind up to 5 people) for the showers - Temperature issues in the women's changing rooms this winter: the door to the swimming pool is propped open, creating a cold draught in the pool and in the women's shower area. At regular intervals there's showers don't have warm water (worsening shower queues) - Due to overselling of classes happening at prime time there are no treadmills available at from 8AM to 8:45AM every day My husband and I were mid workout this morning, when the personal trainer positioned herself in front of our treadmills, weaved her hands and very rudely shouted "YOU NEED TO STOP NOW!". She and her colleague forced us of the treadmill mid-run, saying that they need it for the class and that there are no treadmills available between 8 and 8:45AM daily. When asked whether that means we can't do our workouts in the future he said "yes, it does, I am sorry. We tried to get more treadmills but it was not possible". So here we are, two fully paying members dishing out £430/month, being told we can't do our workouts. Given their recent focus on acquisition they need to look into expanding their space or stop accepting new members. Treadmills are basic gym equipment and need to be available for members - either limit the class spaces, get more treadmills or expand the gym.

Our guide was Max who did such a great job of cracking jokes while being informative and making sure everyone had a good time. Absolutely brilliant at his job and deserves all of the accolades. Once out of the central London area, the boat guns the engines and takes off with a carefully curated playlist blasting on the speakers (rocketing down the Thames with the James Bond theme music playing and my son by my side is an instant life highlight). My son loved when the boat did sharp, high speed turns which lifted one side of the boat practically perpendicular to the water. Not for the faint of heart! The whole tour lasted about an hour and was loads of fun. I've done loads of boat tours around Europe and this was easily the most fun I've ever had. Highly recommended!

When we went to speak with them about this we were told that they'd let one of us sit on standby for an open seat but that if anyone else showed up and paid for a ticket that person would just get bumped from the ride. They were not interested in addressing the fact that they sent us to the wrong place or making this right in any way. Their entire stance was basically that customers are ripping *them* off by getting sent to the wrong pier, showing up late or trying to reschedule. They made it sound like they were just too booked to do anything about this. We wound up going to the HMS Belfast and on one of the cruises with a day pass that let us go up and down the river for the afternoon. Now imagine my surprise when during the hours we were on the river doing other things their boats kept coming by with one, maybe two passengers. They're essentially raking in tickets for 16 people per trip while honoring less than a quarter of those tickets and issuing absolutely no refunds. Go with another company. Go with another activity. Don't pay all of that money for absolutely nothing.

Almost all the other reviews here mention that this is not a place to come to get fit from scratch…read more If you are not at least an intermediate level of fitness you almost certainly won't be able to get through a class and may hurt yourself if not experienced with weights as the demonstrations are very quick. It would also be pretty demoralising! I just came here as it was arranged by friends but it was def too much for me and kind of hurt my confidence even though I've been doing really well to recover from a broken leg. That aside it's a very effective full on work out and combines cardio and strength/resistance training which is a very efficient way to spend an hour. I can totally see how you could burn 1000 calories an hour here (as they suggest) if you are doing pushing yourself to the max. The trainer offers 3 different speeds for treadmill work so there is some flexibility, although there's no easy option! I wouldn't recommend this if you don't like a fairly aggressive (although encouraging) style of training or loud music - you'd be better off outdoors or at yoga (which is my general preference!) - but for what this sets out to be it's really good. There are also some really nice aftercare features - the changing rooms are nicely done with Malin + Goetz shampoo, conditioner and shower gel (although not a lot of room to change!) and they have some delicious smoothies which you can pre order - the one with mango and banana was gorgeous!

So I was delighted when I read about the live experience and I couldn't wait to play! I love escape rooms and this sounded right up my alley. We tried to convince my siblings-in-law to participate with us, but after several failed attempts, we just decided to carry forward and sign up just the two of us. We booked a weekday night slot at 9:15 pm in December. We reserved the last two spaces on a team of 8. The website and email confirmation says to arrive 30 minutes early to register, so we did, but signing the liability waiver only took a couple of minutes. I don't think you really need to arrive that early. They don't have a water fountain inside and I was so thirsty; they only sell a tiny bottles of water for 2 pounds, so we walked to nearby M&S to pick one up. When we got back, the rest of our team still hadn't arrived, so clearly, they're not stickler on this arrival time thing. We met our teammates, which were 4 people out on a team work outing. I'm not sure what happened to their other 2 members, but this worked out better since we each got to play more challenges. Each team gets to play 16 challenges total (from 4 different categories: Physical, Mental, Mystery and Skill) in 4 different zones -- just like the TV show! We had an amazing, theatrical host that really brought the game to life! We whizzed around through to the different challenges, following our wildly, fun host! The most impressive part of the game is just how detailed everything is! The zones look just like the ones from the TV show! In the aztec zone, you actually slide down the temple into sand! Be sure to look up down and all around! It's just like Disneyland in their attention to detail. I loved it! You start the game in the locker room where you can put on the bright colored jackets from the TV show to take some photos, but you'll leave your jacket behind. It's pretty hot running around. TIP: Just wear a t-shirt inside and comfy shoes you can run in. Then stash your stuff in the free lockers. You can't bring your phone inside either. Then you'll watch a fun intro video that introduces you to the show if you're unfamiliar, and then you'll meet your host, The Maze Master, and elect your Team Master. I was our Team Master who helps decide what challenge the team will take on (you'll always have a choice) and who from the team will take on the challenge. I was pretty easy going about it, especially since I didn't know other 4 members (but they were cool and it's easy to get along and make friends during the game). The challenges were fun whether you were playing yourself or just coaching on your teammate! In most of the games, it's easy to play along with and help your teammate out, so it's quite fun for everyone. Don't worry about getting locked in like the TV show; your team will audibly help you count down the time and tell you to get out if needed. The rooms are small, so it's always easy to get out in town. Also, if you do get locked in (our team didn't), the host will give a simple puzzle or riddles to solve apparently, so you can can rejoin the game. If you can't solve it, you'll lose a crystal. Hosts are also known to give out free crystals to teams as well though, so I really wouldn't worry about it. Each game you win, you earn a crystal which gets you 5 seconds in the Crystal Dome -- just like from the game. Our team of 6 ended up with 10 crystals (we were told most teams earn 6), We entered the Crystal Dome to try and catch as many gold tickets as we can (there's only gold tickets in this one). We ended up with 98! I think we were one of the high scores for the day! It didn't really matter; it was a load of fun! I thoroughly loved this! I asked how much of the game (ie: what percentage of challenges did we see), and they said it was only 40%! I'd definitely love to play it again and I think you'd definitely have some new experiences! It was such a blast! I highly recommend it!

Expect 2 games each (you can sometimes fit in more) as there are 4 zones and 8 in a team. I've found its a good idea to plan ahead for the types of games people want or an order to run through, so you waste less time talking and get plenty of time to play the games. It is expensive for what it is but as an 'experience' it's comparable to other activities. The Maze Masters are all fantastic and really help you enjoy the experience.

This gym use the V scale which is a better standard than some boxes/colour. Each problem QR code tag attached which I could scan on the app Griptonite. I logged each of my attempt in the app, including how many tries. There was no AC, so after a while it got pretty hot. They also have kilter board. Would come back again for sure!

However, we were really drawn to this canal designed by architect John Nash that we decided to walk it to Regent's Park, which happens to be my favorite park in London. It was a uniquely pleasant stroll even under the oppressive weather conditions because it managed to combine elegance with the workaday in a leafy, bucolic setting. Opened in 1820, the canal was supposed to be surrounded by dozens of elaborate villas, but the plan was never fully realized as we saw just four waterfront mansions. Otherwise there were clusters of residential moorings throughout the route, that is, until we reached the northern edge of Regent's Park. That was when we saw young couples struggling with their rented motorboats. We'll definitely make it to Camden Lock the next time and complete the full journey. That would be so London, wouldn't it? It's amazing how people live on the canal boats year round. I also understand that a boat can stay docked in one place for up to 2 weeks on the canal. So if you happen to not like your neighbours, you can move in 2 weeks...
