I booked a hire van 2 weeks ago for pick up on Friday the 21st of August for 24 hours from Dwane…read moreHire for the purpose of moving my Daughters belongings down to her new house in Dungarvan. I have a bad back and am unable to lift anything so I paid two men to load the van and drive down after me to Dungarvan to unload it all expenses paid. I got a phone call from Dwane hire at 10 52 this morning informing me that the did not have the van available for tomorrow. The had a small electric van available which was no good to me. I spoke with Paddy Dwane he said they were trying to phone me since Monday last. This was a blatant lie as I had recorded their name and number in my phone also their name automatically shows when they phone someone. STUPID. I offered to call around and show him the call numbers I received he didn't want to know which was not supprising. He accused me of shouting which I wasn't, in my experience when someone trots out that line they are on the back foot, he then hung up on me. For someone in business and dealing with the public, such rudeness begs belief. What a way way to run a business. The lady who called me and Paddy neither had the manners to say sorry for letting me down. I have been in business for 50 years we have made mistakes as everyone does and we apologise for our mistakes, we don't tell barefaced lies to hide our ineptitude and ignorance
