It's definitely a bargain store, many items are too cheaply made to be worth it, but I've often found a lot of good deals in decent quality fun items. Five below is my go to for kids art supplies, I get exercise equipment there, candy, things for my classroom, things for my home, etc. I look forward to going and basically always unexpectedly spend $100+. The experience and products are going down hill and I'm finding myself just irritated on the days following a Five Below haul. Prices have gone up on a lot of things, and while it may only be $2, that's a 40% increase from the original $5 price tag. That's an astronomical markup. The real kicker is that they've stopped pricing most things, so you don't even realize the price has gone up. I would say 2/3 of the items in the store are not priced. There aren't prices anywhere on the tags, sometimes a shelf will list the price, but often not. There are not scanners to check prices either. This particular store doesn't have a "and beyond" section like other locations, so I inferred that that meant everything was actually $5 or less, since items priced above $5 are typically in the "and beyond" section. On my trip yesterday, seven of the items I purchased that didn't have a price listed anywhere were $7-$8, these are all items that previous were $5 each, so I unexpectedly spent and additional $16. I would not have bought most of these items if I'd known they'd gone up so much. Nail in the coffin for me was check out. Self checkout was closed, only one register open despite ample staff and a long line. When it' was my turn, I'm asked if I want to buy a reusable bag, and I declined. The cashier said "okay" and kept scanning the items, not bagging anything. About a minute in, I clarified that I do want my items bagged, but I don't wish to buy reusable bags. I was told they ran out of bags and my only choice was to spend money on reusable bags, I'm not sure why this wasn't mentioned earlier when I declined the reusable bags, as I obviously wouldn't have been able to carry twenty loose items in my arms. I had to either leave everything there, or buy four bags to carry my stuff home. I think making customers pay for a company's mess up is horrible business, and here's the real kicker- this is my third time at this location, and the third time they've magically been out of bags and made me buy reusable!!! Manage your store better, this is so sloppy and unprofessional! Overall Five Below can be a fun store to buy cheap versions of trendy items, or inexpensive staples like organizing supplies, items for the office, kids toys, etc, but you always need to shop mindfully and be aware that things are cheap for a reason. The "fridge planner" I bought this week doesn't even have magnets to stick to the fridge. I'm usually a size XS, but know Five Below runs small so I sized up and got an S in shorts... they won't even go over my butt. Ultimately, if you want to try the store, maybe try a different location. No bags three visits in a row honestly pisses me off. Oh, and the best part? Every single one of those cheap ass bags had holes in them by the time I got home, so I couldn't even reuse them. I genuinely think businesses need to pay an environmental fine for marketing things as "reusable" when they're too low quality to be reusable. I'm not even mad about the money I lost not being able to use them again, I'm pissed that these bags take waaaaaaaaY longer to break down in the landfill than a regular plastic bag, and that Five Below is scamming their customers into thinking they're doing something good, when it's actually far worse for the planet.

A smaller food court compared to most malls. For there only being 3 days until Christmas I was shocked at how dead it was. We had pictures with Santa at 12pm and I got there early as I anticipated a full parking lot. But nope no issues parking. Found Santa right away in the middle of The mall by JCPenney. That truly is a beautiful set that he's in. He's also a good looking Santa! We didn't stop in or purchase anything in the stores, although we did walk thru Round 1 which was a cool arcade / small bowling venue. Lots of empty stores. . The center elevator was also out of order. So you I'd be nice to see a restaurant in here and eventually attend the Mammoth hockey practice arena to watch them practice. Also a Mammoth or Jazz souvenir shop would be really ideal.

I was looking forward to coming in as this is one of my favorite stores. Every item I had picked out was priced at $4.95 on their tables. However, when everything rung up, it was priced at 50% off. The cashier was unwilling to walk with me to look and see where the products were. While she said she would adjust the prices, I had to go and look. After looking, which took less than a minute, there were several people in line with large amounts of products to be rung up. I began waiting, and then decided not to wait, as I should not have to find and correct the prices and then wait in line again. Such a poor experience. The whole parking area is always a mess and the construction makes it even more stressful. I will not continue to shop at this location.
