My family and I really enjoy this mall. They have a good mix of higher end shops, and mid range stuff. There's also a lot of food and entertainment options. I really like the walkways too, they are super wide, so even with a ton of people there, I've never felt too crowded. read more

There are a lot of great stores in here, don't get me wrong. H&M, Athleta, Lululemon, Apple, Madewell, Zara and there was even a Doc Marten's store that I saw when I was recently here. So many great stores, and it's not your typical mall where there's just big box stores like Macy's. They really have a lot of great options. It's got a great selection and all the stores I've gone to here are very clean. When I have to go to a mall (which I try to avoid at all costs), this is my go to mall. However, every time I come here I'm dumbfounded by two things: 1. For how large this mall is, the parking is awful. I genuinely do not understand how all of the parking lots here are always full every time I come here. I stopped by at 2pm in the middle of the week to make a return somewhere and circled the parking lots multiple times before I was able to find parking. How is there such little parking here?! This mall is huge and wildly popular, and is also surrounded by multiple restaurants and has many restaurants within it. It doesn't make sense to me. 2. It's very hard to find a store directory anywhere. The signage isn't great, and I don't come here often so I'm not super familiar with the layout. It's very crowded with vendors in the middle of the walkways as well. When I was recently here I was able to find the first store I was looking for, but had to ask the cashier where the other store I was looking for was located. Love the store options and how many different stores are here. I do personally try to avoid malls because they are overstimulating for me (harsh lighting, loud, lots of people), but when I do need to go to a mall, this is the one I choose. read more

We came here on a Sunday morning for bunch at Cheesecake Factory at 10 am. They had all the parking lots close to the stores blocked off with ropes & signs . We had to park quite a bit away & walk . We saw a worker taking down the signs & ropes once we got in front of Cheesecake Factory . We told him that was far to walk. He said sorry . Then we saw the signs no employee parking it's for customers only . They block off the areas so employees can't park up front which is fine but they should have the rope removed prior to 10 am when customers start arriving. read more

Zara is now a fixture having a kids section, a men's section, and a large women's play land of style and fashion. It's always busy tho. Actually the mall seems to b busy at any time of any day. Is there really such a thing as "too much of a good thing?" Yes, in this mall's case, there is. Every wonderful store and many good restaurants are jam packed into this space-and on any given Saturday, you feel the squeeze. But that may be unfair-like an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner with too many delicious options, this cornucopia of shopping boasts a little something for everyone. So I can't blame the developers/planners for continuing to add rather than subtract from all the options. That is what makes this mall so great, after all. The variety of stores and eateries attract people-lots of people. And when everyone comes at the same time, that's when things get dicey. The parking lot is atrocious. If it's Saturday or virtually any day in December, forget about it. If you can do your shopping at 11am on a Tuesday, you might have better luck finding a parking spot. I've heard lots of stories about windows being smashed out and items stolen out of vehicles. Don't leave anything in sight. I know I'm sounding negative-but I really do love this mall. It has all the stores I need-so if the management decides to take any away to ease up on the congestion, just consult with me first and I'll let you know which ones to keep and which ones can go. ;-) Kidding. The mall itself was fairly clean. Parking-no surprise not great, but you can circle and find something. I was visiting from out of state, but I am familiar with the area and despite it having a few token stores it is pretty lackluster. Nordstrom does not carry many designer brands and their selection in accessories is very limited Sephora had the usual items and a fair size. Lululemon had the mens section I have seen besides Irvine Spectrum in southern California. Which probably they cater ti the area with their stock Biggest miss is no Starbucks-which I found surprising. The mall is small so you don't need to worry about getting lost The most unique store there was the children's shop with little kid toys. I would always come to this mall every weekend with friends to hang out and chill. I haven't been back to this back for like 6 months now. Parking for this place is still crazy on weekends. If you want to park quick, you might need to park far. What surprise me about this place is the expansion they did. Macy's is back to fashion place and it looks like a lot of stores are expanding. They are even getting a forever 21. Brought your kids to go shopping, but they are too much to handle with all the stuff you want to buy? Well now there is an art store you can leave your kids for drawing lessons, while you shop. Now do remember when you are walking around don't make eye contact with the sales people. They are like vultures. They will pull you to them to show you their product and even make you try it. It's a lot of pressure to buy something you obviously don't need or want. The food court area here is pretty nice. Plenty of great food and also the cheap food court prices. read more

What.the.f*ck.fasion place mall?!?!?!? Of all places I have been during the pandemic fashion place felt the most dangerous. Keep in mind I have gotten my haircut, been to the dentist, been to the doctor with my kiddo, had my own labs done, and all of those felt immeasurably safer than walking around the mall on a Sunday afternoon. I ran to the mall with my mom to get her a zagg cover for her new phone. About 2/3 of people in the mall, if I'm being generous with my estimation, had masks on. The rest had no mask, took their mask off to walk around and eat, or had their mask pulled down for no apparent reason. There was zero social distancing, zero enforcement of mask wearing, and a load of people. It's probably the most crowded place I've seen in months. Shockingly one of the women working in the mall said the day before was much more crowded and looked like black friday. If you want to go to the mall and do some shopping I beg of you to wear a mask. I'll beekeeping my shopping online and if needed will go to City Creek where everything is outside at least. Fashion Place seems to care very little about keeping customers safety. read more

Nothing stays the same but change. I started coming to Fashion Place Mall the moment it opened, and none of the original stores are here. Everytime I come here these days, it seems like I'm in another world. Everything is turned around. If I go to a store that I've been to before, they have moved down the hall and to the left. New stores are constantly springing up. Now the hallways are filled with kiosks, and it's thriving. This is one of the better malls in the valley, with a good variety from clothing, food, knick knacks, housewares, shoes,jewelry, and they even have chair massages. excetera excetera read more

This is certainly the best of the major indoor mall's in Utah and has gone through significant renovation in the past few years that really helps to bring it back to the top of my list of mall destinations again. Most people who know me would probably be surprised to know that I actually do enjoy a trip to the mall. It's kind of a nostalgia thing from when I was a kid, and even as a big time technology person, for me I just love the ambiance of being inside a big mall, a bookstore, library etc. It just makes life seem a little less clinical, and I love walking through all the big department stores. This mall has them all, Nordstrom, Macy's, Sears and my all time favorite - Dillard's. As well as renovating the inside, they have also dotted the outside with some fairly decent restaurants (well compared to mall food courts) like CPK, Cheesecake Factory, Corner Bakery etc. There's also a Crate and Barrel here too - always fun to get some good ideas for home, for gifts or just for fun looking at some of the novelty items they have. read more

This mall is so awesome! It has so many great stores. There's a Nordstrom, basically the biggest H&M I've ever seen, and virtually every major store inside the actual mall. The mall is nice and clean and usually pretty busy, but I can totally see why, especially in the winter time. This is the perfect spot to come to shop away your troubles and escape cold temperatures. I will say, however, that the parking situation here is kind of a mess. There are basically no spots to park in for such a huge mall and this is coupled by the fact that there are restaurants nearby which also suck up parking spots. I don't know if the mall would benefit by adding bigger lots or if I've simply just gone at the wrong times, but I had to wait quite a bit to get a spot which was a little frustrating. read more

Having spent way more time in a mall over the last month than in the last few years combined, I thought I would just circle back to say that as malls go, this one is fine. I'm that guy who was only ever here for the manly man stuff in Sears (things with motors) so when Sears disappeared many moons ago, I sorta did too. But the fond, testerone-filled days of my youth hearken me back to the hallowed mall halls. There are more dining options now, and some upscale (sorta) stores, but I covered a lot of that in the original review. Right now parking is kinda sketchy as more stores are taking up more space in what used to be parking spaces. But it only really gets bad over the holidays. Fashion Place is the best destination in Salt Lake City for shopping! Sure, City Creek has great ambience, especially with the outdoor atmosphere, but they cannot compete to the size and number of stores at Fashion Place, including the large new Dillard's, the first Container Store in UT, and the addition of a large Macy's in 2017. Not too mention the food options here are great, with CPK and Red Rock being favorites. The only reason I did not give this mall five stars is because parking is atrocious!!!! At some point they are going to need to add a parking garage or two. read more

I really liked this mall and prefer it to City Creek if I need to buy something more expensive for an event. (The malls in Utah County aren't the best). I like this one better because the parking is free and you can usually find it. It's also not so big that you get lost, like at City Creek. It's all indoor, so nice and warm in the winter. It has some nice more high-endish stores like Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, Zara. Also, they maintain it well and upgrade things in a timely manner. Fashion Place Mall is arguably the best mall in Utah. The mall has been renovated over the years and it looks great both inside and out. With all of the usual mall stores and big box stores like Sears and Macy's, its hard not to find what you want at Fashion Place. When you're hungry stop by the food court which offers an impressive selection of cuisine from all over the world. My favorite eatery? Chick-fil-A. I love their chicken sandwiches and chicken strips, plus their fresh lemonade is delicious! read more

I really like this mall, and it keeps getting better and better each time I visit. A few years ago I would come here when I needed something from Nordies and that's about it. Now they have an apple store, Crate & Barrel, an H&M and a few other stores you can't easily find. I really like the kids clothing stores here, like naartjie, baby gap, and Journeys Kidz. They have the standard food court, but along the outside of the mall you can find a Cheesecake Factory, California pizza kitchen, Red Rock, Corner bakery, and Brio. read more

Fashion place in my personal opinion appears to be the go to place for the fashionistas in utah. Every person i noticed here seem to have a great sense of fashion and class about them in the way they carry themselves as they shop and hang around the mall. The second thing i noticed about the mall is the uniqueness of the stores in the mall right from the Lego store to the container store to Nordstorm especially its cafe as well as the apple store, lovesac and godiva store, it seems to simply cater to a extremely diverse consumer base that probably leads it to the third unique thing about this mall --- Its Customers. The customer base appears diverse and international in the sense that you get people with not only varying sense of fashion but also culture simply due to the nature of the stores present in mall which appears to be played in no small part by the location and hence access to a wider customer base of utah. One must be wondering as to why i am still giving it only a 3 star despite all the positives mentioned above. It is due to the fact that despite the immense potential, it still remains in essence a mall like any other mall ie while stores in mall appear unique, the mall itself does not standout in its uniqueness either in its architecture or layout or even its food court all of which appears like its run of the mill kind and hence is my sole reason for 3 stars in a nutshell ie due to its presentation to point that to a new person searching for this mall would be difficult to find it if not for google maps as there is no visible signage that says or screams "Fashion Place". Despite the mall being the hub for all things fashion it is ironical that the mall itself is not that fashionable with no attractions besides stores in mall in general. read more

This mall is strange in my opinion. Their hours are a little weird, it feels like a ghost town inside, encountered some unfriendly people, and the store variety is ROUGH. There's like a Zara in here that is larger than a Costco. Fashion place isn't the best mall or superior to City Creek and Layton Hills but it's the closest mall from my residence and work so it'll suffice. It's fashion place or Valley Fair and we all know to avoid VF. South Town is also good but driving to Sandy doesn't sound appealing to me and.. why am I promoting other malls on this review :( Fast forward to what matters. Food court- The mall closes at 9 but most food joints stop serving food after 830 or they won't cook anything fresh so you get what's left over. Orange Julius-WHY? Can we please replace OJ with Jamba Juice? Fashion place website-needs a major update. A lot of stores are ether being remodeled or permanently closed. It would be nice to state that online -.- A few new stores are opening but as to when is TBA. I do like that they have Nordstrom, Dillards, White Horse, Express and Crate and Barrel which are my favorite places to shop and I can't remember the last time I bought anything from any other place so I hope these stay. My favorite mall in Salt Lake City! While I love City Creek, I appreciate the fact that Fashion Place is opened on a Sunday and that it's all indoor as well as has a wide range of store selections and options. They recently added onto this mall and are expanding it a ton! They added Macys which has a Cafe or coffee shop inside it as well. I'm not sure if that's something newer macys are doing that are opening up kind of like how Nordstrom has had cafes for a while. While I have seen it I haven't eaten or gotten coffee there so can't say my opinion on that yet. They also just moved Urban Outfitters over here from The Gateway, and Forever 21 is opening not far from it super soon. The h&m here is three stories! They also relocated the Centre Aveda Salon and Spa and it is much bigger and open, you can see the salon through glass windows which is way better I think for walk in traffic and just advertisement for the salon and store in general. read more

This is my go-to when it comes to malls in the valley. Is City Creek nicer? Yeah, but there are a lot of stores at City Creek that I could never see myself shopping at. Fashion Place has a good variety of department stores and boutiques that seem pretty much the norm when I think of "typical shops that every mall should have." The bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained too. Fashion Place has good food-court options, good location, and is just an above average mall in terms of selection and variety (especially after they opened up the new wing.) read more

My car window was smashed last night in the west parking lot near h&m between 7-8:45 pm. Mall security said there were no outside cameras. Two other cars were broken into and laptops were stolen. There were panhandlers inside the mall near h&m. Coincidence? Hmm. No Bueno. It took an hour for Murray police to arrive to fill out a case form for insurance repair. read more

Parking is awful, at least on the South side. I'm not sure where everyone is. The number of cars don't translate to the number of people in the mall and restaurants. Kiosk attendants throughout the entire mall are a little obnoxious. They all try to lure you in closer with a one size fits all-type compliment, only to try and sell you facial creams made of unicorn skin and butterfly farts. Food courts are never on my radar when I'm hungry. I don't like all the smells all jammed together. It's like elementary cafeteria with a vinegary, grilled steak and a hint of fry oil and a side of Yankee candle. No really. There's a Yankee Candle in the food court, adding to the aroma. It's gross. HOWEVER my sense of smell is off the charts and it doesn't take much go turn me away. The only thing I like Fashion Place for is The Container Store. They have everything you need for storage. If you have something you want to put inside something else, they're you're people. Try Fashion Place out. You may like it. Honestly, I just hate malls, so it's probably not a useful review to many. read more

Not a bad mall and it seems to be booming with life again. It's got lots of good stores that I find myself willing to make the 25 minute drive from Orem to come here. I love the resurgence of food and newer stores coming in. I just don't get the reasoning by having 40 different face/hand moisturizer kiosks with barkers who do not take no for an answer. It's super awful and highly annoying. This mall is the only one with such a problem. Even the ol' "Don't look at them, ignore them, don't make eye contact" doesn't seem to deter them. Great mall, but it's a struggle to get where you're going inside without running into 4 different people begging you to try their moisturizers. read more
