you would think you had found heaven on earth until you actually get up to the register. this…read morevinnys is like twice as expensive than the ones i typically go to. this place is large and you can find some nice stuff, and its pretty organized. we walked in and the male worker greeted us and answered questions we had very nicely. however, the older female workers here are so rude and condescending. one of them even purposely smashed an item i was going to buy after telling her its delicate. dont go here if you want your purchases still intact lol. the ringing out process is so confusing, you better not ask any questions at the register or they will start looking at you funny and treating you weird, and say "didn't you bring this up here to buy it?" - slow is an understatement. i genuinely thought one of the workers had taken a muscle relaxer.

You can find an assortment of designer items for reasonable prices. You may find a few things you may as well get new but great finds for the most part! They keep the store very clean and the service is generally very friendly. There is one clerk who hasn't been in very good moods but you'll find that anywhere. The consignment aspect is a nice feature if you're interested. You can either cash out if your items are purchased or keep it as store creddonates. Will sort theough your items and take things that corespond with the current season. Note: they only keep your unsold items for so long and if you don't come to pick it up by the set date, it will get donated. There isn't a reminder that I know of so that's a downside. Overall, it's a great alternative to online places like Poshmark or Mercari to sell your items and shop for cute quality clothes, plus, it's great to stay local!

Madison seems to have 3 types of thrift stores. Goodwill, St Vinnies, and those run by churches…read moreand/or church ladies. This is the latter type, and they all seem to be very similar (Bethesda, Agrace, etc). Less crowds, traffic, anxiety, and clutter than Goodwill and St Vinnies, but also less selection. Check back regularly and you will find some treasures. For the most part the prices are fair. If I specifically need something, I start with Goodwill, because I have the best chance of browsing. But I dont always feel like stopping in Goodwill just to browse. Versus it can be very peaceful to stop in Boomerangs, or similar. I've probably been there a dozen times since they opened, and bought something 3 of the times. They have furniture, which not all thrift stores carry. The staff has always been helpful.
