I was pretty excited for this new location to open, it was hyped up and opening day there was a…read morehuge line. The building is very large, you'd think it was going to be a sweet new spot! Unfortunately, most of the building is not the shopping area. I was disappointed with the small size of the shopping bin area compared to the size of the building, it feels like less than half of the building is retail. They also had 5-6 bins of books, 4-5 bins of junk hard items and everything else was clothing. No furniture, very little home goods, less hard line items than Dig n Save. It was also disappointing to see dozens of corporate suits taking pictures on their personal phones of people shopping and diving into the bins. It felt creepy and patronizing, since people were coming to get cheap and good stuff -- of which there was seemingly little. I'll try again someday, but overall, I was sadly disappointed.

Madison seems to have 3 types of thrift stores. Goodwill, St Vinnies, and those run by churches…read moreand/or church ladies. This is the latter type, and they all seem to be very similar (Bethesda, Agrace, etc). Less crowds, traffic, anxiety, and clutter than Goodwill and St Vinnies, but also less selection. Check back regularly and you will find some treasures. For the most part the prices are fair. If I specifically need something, I start with Goodwill, because I have the best chance of browsing. But I dont always feel like stopping in Goodwill just to browse. Versus it can be very peaceful to stop in Boomerangs, or similar. I've probably been there a dozen times since they opened, and bought something 3 of the times. They have furniture, which not all thrift stores carry. The staff has always been helpful.
