His bid was fair and the most reasonable of the three companies I solicited. He charged exactly what he bid, communicated well about when he was coming (seems well-organized), is reliable, hard-working, experienced, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond what we hired him to do, as I was tasked with digging a 14' x 18" trench to bury the electrical conduit for the stub up to the hot tub before the slab could be poured, and Juan simply helped me dig it (he had much better tools for the job). I think Juan's willingness to work hard for the success of his jobs and help with something additional like this is rare and valuable. When the job was complete, Juan thoroughly cleaned up all remnants of gravel, etc... on the road, in the carport, and in the backyard. Then they told us it would be done one way and was actually going to be done cheaper - for example using dirt instead of gravel and using plastic drains instead of the metal ones on the quote. Paul and Lavina became very angry with us when we pointed out that we weren't getting what was quoted. Then they demanded all the money upfront or they wouldn't finish the project. They finished it maybe 90% and now won't respond to us (for two months) on when they would come finish. The concrete is already cracking and we asked them to fix it per the two year warranty. But they won't respond to us. Very poor experience.
