In September 2022, I contacted the office and received a very prompt response and was connected with a project manager immediately. He stated he could start my project in December. They estimated my bathroom remodel would be potentially $120,000.00. I thought that was high- but I was hoping for the same responsiveness and high quality for the project. They require a large deposit ($3500). I found once I gave the deposit- everything changed. I was promised a designer that never came through- (the positive comments on the designers were another reason I chose this company). I finally got a designer that was very nice and responsive, however, he didn't really offer me any ideas beyond what I already had in mind and his style wasn't as contemporary as I had hoped. When I questioned his style- I was told- "well, that's all that's available". I discovered the project manager quit and they didn't have the measurements he took in October. Basically, they ended up not having the capacity to properly support my project- they didn't show up for the re-measure and didn't answer my emails. Finally, I asked for a refund. They charged me $350 hour for the designer (when I was quoted a price when they were bidding for the job- they told me designers ranged from $150- $200 hour). Now, I find myself back to the drawing board and out $700. The owner never had the courtesy to acknowledge my poor experience. Perhaps he will now, after a poor review. I would caution anyone with a "small" project (their words) like mine. I'm not sure if a six figure remodel is small in your world- but it's certainly not in mine.

In the end he turned down a project that started at $2000., and I just completed all the projects which tallied $21,000. I have a large industrial size swamp cooler on my home. The handyman that I had been using I trusted because he helped my dad, so when he said he needed new pumps or everything was working great, I paid and just assumed it was done correctly. Last summer when it wasn't working correctly, he just never responded at all. I called Case Construction and Roofing to see if they had someone to shut it off in the Fall and they did. I called them to come get it running this year. There were 2 giant holes that just made the water run right out and never even get the pads wet. He asked if I have had a larger water bill and I have, like a LOT more the last couple of summers and I just assumed it was the sprinklers. They told me that my "handyman" put duct tape over the hole. He also said that one of the pumps wasn't even hooked up, the other one didn't work and the last one was dying. They also told me I needed new nets as they hadn't been replaced like I had thought. There was also a hornet's nest that had been in there and the water line had so much calcium in it that it was barely getting any water through. I bought 3 new pumps and the nets. He fixed it beautifully! Every pump is hooked up and running, the water line is working, the holes are fixed and the hornets nest is gone. My house is COLD again and I'm in tears of gratitude that Case Construction and Roofing is honest and fixed this for me. If you want a company you can trust to do the job you are paying you for, Case Construction and Roofing! Cortney is the literal best!!!!!

This project involved drywall installation and fire tape finishing a storage room and utility room in my basement. They arrived early in the morning and completed the project that day. Their work quality was excellent. Upon finishing, they cleaned up everything and left the work area clean and no dust on the floor. The crew was easy to work with and didn't create any unnecessary noise or disturbed us while they were working. I would definitely use JSP Construction again on any of my projects. This also included having our kitchen, dining room, living room, front entry way, and hallway sanded, re-stained and polyurethaned to all match. Remodel Express hired a subcontractor, ******, who had two installers come and do our floors. It was expressly discussed with ****** and ******** that we had custom floors and our number 1 concern was to keep the character of the floors and avoid sanding too much off making the floor look like a gymnasium floor. ****** inspected and said that they would just sand down about 1/16th of an inch, just enough to remove the old finish but keep the hand scraped appearance around the edges. His guys came and promptly sanded our floors past the 1/16" th which the guy stated that he sanded them way down because our floor was not level, but it was flat and level now! He did not ask in advance I explained that we had agreed to only sand 1/16th of an inch but that he went too far and sanded out all the hand scraped edges and character of the boards leaving a tightly fitted floor which we did not want. He then told us that he could fix it with a special rotary tool (skill saw) but would have to bring it the following day. He stained the floor and then used his "rotary tool" and ran random, sloppy wide 1/4" gaps randomly all over our floor leaving crooked, splintered, burned and separated areas that looked horrible. He did not even transition the doorways and instead just rubbed stain across without even blending. He commented that his nephew was drunk on the last day and did not show up to help and he was in a hurry for another job and left without notifying us. We complained and the companies both came out and agreed that our floor was poorly done and they would collaborate and get back to us. It has been 4 weeks and they have not returned my calls or texts.

You have to search hard to find reviews for Remodel Express, which is the same company as Flamingo Flooring according to the manager. These reviews were on a website that you can't place a review on. Make sure to stay away from them and hire a company that values their customers, stands behind their work, and is registered in the BBB.

Now, I had had a different drywall contractor come by and do some work for me before and he did an awful job (no names, sorry), so naturally I was a bit nervous about this situation. Especially considering that King's Peak had quoted me a much better price than the other guys. Obviously, I didn't need to worry at all. They did an amazing job on my walls, and they even took the extra time to smooth out some other spots nearby that needed some work. And they even took the time to fix the horrible job the last contractor did, at no extra charge at all! I would highly recommend King's Peak to anyone needing pro sheetrock or drywall work in the valley.
