Had to replace the shower head once again. Now the water pressure is terrible. Also, we chose the color white when we first had the install in 2017. I mentioned it looked more tan than white at the time of install and was told that is their white even though it does not match the white tub at all. Fast forward to my most recent fix, which I will say was scheduled the very next day which is appreciated, the piece they used to replace behind the shower knob is white. So now I have what looks like a nicotine stained white colored shower (we have never smoked in our house its just "their white") surround with a white circle around the new knob and a white tub. I also mentioned the black spots showing up where it was caulked and that its mold. The warranty guarantees the waterproofing materials they used. If there is mold growing through the caulk I'm positive its behind the shower surround. The tech blew that part off and literally said use better cleaner. read more

It has been 41 days and my shower is still not done. It is a little bit of a unique shower because it is in our cabin BUT it was all worked out before the contractors showed up. They showed up around noon every day they were there, 3 days. The beam they used to connect to the glass is so huge it is so ugly. The manager came out and had an idea for a door that they make at home depot. It is $500 online but now they say it is a $2600 door. The communication with this company is horrendous. When the manager called me today he gave ME an attitude like I had done something wrong. This shower was supposed to be headache free and it has only been a headache!!! Do not use this company, hire your own contractors locally to do this for you. read more

Very disappointed in Five Star Solutions of Macomb - the sales rep Andrea Valle was nice and I went along with her recommendation and paid a $4,000 deposit on a bathroom upgrade - week later the man that does the measurements came in and said I got a phenomenal deal on my bathroom upgrade that included a new jet tub. A few days later I got a call from Darrell saying that my breaker box didn't have room for an additional breaker for the jet tub and they had to cancel the project - unless I wanted to proceed without the jet tub - the reason I contacted them in the first place was to install a jet tub in the bathroom. I recently had Five Star Bath Solutions redo my shower in master bath. I am getting ready for retirement and wanted to get this remodel done, so I could "age" into my home. I am saddened to have to write this, but they did not do a good job. I am now left with a shower that is aesthetically "off"(trim starts at 1/2 inch in front, then width increases to one inch), and the shower door leaks(it is not installed straight on base, as the shower is off). They explained my walls/ceiling were not squared off, so there is nothing they could do. I have texted the Project Manager and called the office with my concerns. It has been weeks and I have not been contacted. I am now going to have to pay for someone else to come and FIX what they would not. read more

We are disgusted and disappointed in Five Star Solutions in the poor workmanship from the first day of installment. The "quality" that they advertise is by far the furthest from being professional grade or worth the money they quoted us. The installation wasn't even what the salesperson said they would do!! It took them at least "4" attempts to get the trim right. At one point in one of the visits the trim piece wasn't long enough so they pieced it together and called it good!! Another trim visit the piece they cut was "aesthetically off" which was noticeable to the naked eye!! Unbelievable to think that it was OK!! On the fourth attempt to fix the trim piece they gouged the wall in multiple places then proceeded to use caulk to fix it. We are on our third shower faucet!! It showed signs of rust and then when they sent ANOTHER person out to install a new one, that person used the wrong wrench thus-forth leaving a scratch in the hardware. He had the audacity to tell my husband that they have stuff to cover that up!! I DON'T THINK SO!!! We are now on our third shower head...keep in mind we JUST had this installed in March!! EVERY person they send makes more mistakes and screw ups. No compensation for all the time we are taking off from work!! No call from management!! I would never recommend this company for anything!! And now we are stuck with a ticking time bomb ready for the next fix it!! read more

Buyer Beware!! Super disappointed with this company and the service I have received. I would not recommend going with them at all. The whole process started back in June or July for the quote. They told me the install would be in September, I was fine with that because the expectation was set. August I get an email that my project is ready to go and the date was three weeks earlier than they had told me. It took me four phone calls to get through to somebody to find out they had sent me someone else's email and my project date was still in September. The project was scheduled to start on a Monday, the Friday prior I get a phone call stating that all of my supplies were not in and they would have to push the install. Four weeks later and I have not heard a single word from the company. I had to call multiple times before I got in touch with someone to find out that the shower door supposedly came in the day I called them and they were able to do my install the next week. They had told me it was a three day install originally, but when they did the rush install they only scheduled two days. The installer was not able to complete in two days so then I had to find another day that worked into my schedule for him to come out and finish the install. After finishing the vanity is crooked, my tile was chipped and one was not installed correctly. They installed the shower door backwards so it leaked, and they did not finish sealing the shower. They immediately came out two days later and fixed the seal around the shower and told me they would have to come back with more floor to fix the chipped tile. This was back at the end of October. I have played phone tag with them repeatedly, every time I call I get sent to the call center who tells me they are sending out emails and reporting all of this before I get a return call. I finally got in touch with someone that they had apparently just hired and he came out and immediately fixed my shower door. Or so I thought until it continued to leak every time that I shower. He told me that the vanity is going to have to be crooked due to my wall (my old vanity same size and everything was not crooked.) They cannot figure out what type of flooring they ordered for me and came out two different times with the wrong floor to try to fix the chip that they caused. They then tell me they are going to have to replace my whole entire floor since they cannot figure out what type of tile they put down originally. This means taking out the vanity and toilet again. That was three weeks ago and it has been complete radio silence sense. We paid a ton of money for a gorgeous looking shower that leaks every time you use it, a beautiful floor with a chip in the tile and a tile that is not properly installed, and a vanity that is crooked. That's not to mention the fact that I have to repaint three out of my four walls and plaster parts of my ceiling that they damaged while doing the install. I am still waiting since October to do this in case they cause more damage when fixing my floor. Only the newest person has apologized for the inconvenience but yet none of the issues seem to be getting fixed. They have not once tried to make a bad situation better. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere even though the products they use look good the service is truly not worth it. read more

I called up to get an estimate, He claimed his company didn't do that type of work, But he still gave me an estimate of what other contractors would charge which we both know that the number was made up, it was a higher number than what I've gotten estimates for a kitchen remodel. A few days later the sent out a guy to measure the bathroom and he reviewed everything with us once again. Then Danny and Joe came out and did a fantastic job of installation and cleaning up. Yikes! That was 2.5 hours of my life that I will never get back. I could go on for an hour about how odd and uncomfortable the quote meeting was. The description of the product was confusing, the price was all over the place, and I was insulted by several comments. The guy was really hung up on the fact that my husband was not attending his presentation. The price ranged from $5,900 to $21,000 and it wasn't clear what was being sold for what price???? I would agree with the previous review. We had someone come to our house early October and reviewed our bathroom. The entire pitch was very sales-y and he spent a lot of time talking about licenses and reviews and going through an old binder full of laminated pages. At the end of it, my husband and I said that it was a lot of money and sorry but we weren't ready to make that kind of financial decision but thank you, at which point he got very nasty and said "don't say sorry to me, I'm not the one that has to live with that bathroom." put a shower in to replace my tub. didn't put all the insulation that sales man said would be done. taking tub out scratched my white ceiling tiles on 9 or 10 tiles and touched up with a gray paint I think. Over a year and still done nothing. came back recently my seat had some plastic coming off. the person whom came also did some glueing in my shower (on grab bar). when he left i noticed a yellow spot on my shower floor. could get off. when he came back to replace my seat the worker got it out. took pictures of my ceiling again as had did before and nothing again. I calrd office and asked what was laid in my sink top? it looked clear be didn't come off with even comet. three time in my house and every time they left flaws in my bathroom and I was finally told if i had paint they would paint my ceiling but nothing regarding my sink. I talk with many friends and their comments were that they wouldnt want them back in their home as who know what else they could mess up.
