I purchased some face shields for some doctors that work with the homeless. They loved them and said they were very comfortable! They sold me a plaque that was crooked and looked silly. It was wrapped up when I picked it up and gave it to my employer for his birthday so it was surprising and embarrassing. Then when I told the owner of FiveStar Awards that it might be a good idea to contact a customer to let them know the plaque is crooked, she acted rudely. I'll recommend people don't go here. In response to your reply: Your rude response was the same person I got in the store. Most businesses don't sell products that look bad to people. I never asked for my money back, I just suggested you should call customers to let them know if there is a defect in the product. I wouldn't have had you work on it if I knew it would look bad. I would have never written a bad review if you were simply nice and said: "sorry, that is our policy to not sell bad looking products, she (the girl who finished the plaque) must not have noticed the slant". I would have not gone out of my way to write a bad review. Typically I only go out of my way to write nice reviews for good companies. You had another chance on here to say "I'm sorry you had a bad experience, we are striving to be the best and we missed the mark with you". That is a good review response and I would have probably deleted my 1 star if you had acted kind. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. read more

My experience with Five Star Rewards had some issues early on, but in the end they made things better for me. Here's what happened. I initially approached them with a fairly detailed and accurate rough draft of a plaque which I wanted them to produce. They told me that they could get it done in two weeks. The start of the project coincided with the start of the coronavirus stay-at-home orders. Soon after committing to them, I found it quite difficult to get the person heading up the development on the phone. When I did, it was always, "I'm short-handed now due to the pandemic. I'm trying to run two machines at once." I always felt rushed on the phone. Emails were not quickly responded to, and not always clear, prompting the need for even more emails. The poor communications slowed down progress quite a bit. I would assume that if they had more work than they could handle, that they could have brought in some help. By the time they were able to present a final design and cost (which I felt was quite high), it was far too late to switch to another provider and still meet my deadline. The good news - There were no issues with the quality of the plaque. No defects. A couple of weeks after they finished the work and I picked it up, their director of operations contacted me requesting that I provide online reviews, assuming my experience was good. I responded directly to her listing my concerns above. She then requested a phone discussion. We did that. In return, she provided a partial refund of the purchase price to offset the issues I experienced. With that action, I am now fine with their services. read more

I needed a simple silver plate of my husband and my name for our wedding frame with our wedding date and a quote. I communicated with Lisa through email and came in in-person to look at fonts, and we were set. My plate was ready in 3 days (probably could have been done faster if I needed it ASAP, but I was in no rush). The plate turned out exactly the way I wanted and their pricing was very reasonable.
