This was the highlight of our trip! The operation runs very smoothly. We felt safe and warm the entire trip. See amazing things you could only get to by water. And the local guide was phenomenal! Good knowledge of the history, fjords, and area made for a really informative time. And the boat was great. So close to the water. So part of everything! 100% recommend FjordSafari out of Flåm!

Amazing day so close to nature visiting waterfalls, small towns and sea life in Norway. Fantastic guides and equipment for a perfectly comfortable adventure back in time. Rainbows and otters were sweet surprises. Not to be missed on your bucket list. Unforgettable!!!

Amazing experience! It's the best way to see the fjord. If you are in flam, it's must do! The guides are extremely knowledgeable and the water is very smooth so even if you don't well on boats, you won't get sea sick

Fjord Safari was one of the highlights of our winter vacation to Norway. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the scenery was spectacular. Our guide, Jonathan, was extremely knowledgeable about the fjords, the wildlife, and the people who live there. I highly recommend visiting in the winter, since the crowds in Flåm are much smaller and the snow only adds to the beauty.

There is no assigned seating and since many of us had luggage it made for a mad dash for seats. Not sure if one side is better than the other for the views since there are good views on both sides. Perhaps going to Flam the left side is slightly better. They even stop for five minutes to view one of the best waterfalls I have seen. That's alot of water in a relatively small area. Definitely worth it!

Points against a restful train ride were a dramatic valley, waterfalls, mountainsides, and tunnels including a stop at Kjosfossen with "SPOILER ALERT" a 5-minute Huldra dance by the Norwegian Ballet School This world-renowned journey through Flåm valley is a very scenic 20-kilometer (12.6-mile) Norwegian railway that runs from Flåm to Myrdal, one of the steepest railways in the world The carriages feature nostalgic wooden interiors and large windows for optimal viewing with comfortable seating and clean restrooms. It really doesn't matter which side you're seated for maximal viewpoints but a good tip would be to sit on the less occupied front cars (farthest to walk from the terminal) as one can freely move left or right for snaps. The Flåm railway is a popular attraction and it is highly recommended to book in advance online via the Flåmsbana or the Vy (Norwegian Railways) websites

They provided all of the gear we needed for each activity, so we just had to bring a change of clothes. The guides were confident and helpful when describing the activities and safety procedures. They also provided lots of great photos from the activities which captured just how fun it was. The white water rafting (classic version) was a blast. The river we went on had several intense rapids and provided a spectacular view of that area of Norway. Before getting to the last and biggest rapid, the guides pulled the boat over and allowed our group to look at the rapid to decide if we felt comfortable going down it, which we did and it was insane! The canyoning (extreme version) was intense! The trip included repelling down several waterfalls, various natural rock slides, pools, climbing over tons of rocks and much more. The guides did a great job of explaining each part of the activity and keeping us safe. I'll admit, the first waterfall we repelled down was very high and I had a mild panic attack about half way down it. The guides repelled with me down the next few waterfalls and motivated me which helped me feel safe and secure. Since it lasted almost 6 hours, they gave us a snack midway and a warm campfire to roast hot dogs over at the end. I can't say enough about this company and their guides. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the Geilo area. It's well worth it!
