I'm honestly disappointed with my experience at FL Nails. I was very clear about what I wanted when I arrived: * Regular white polish * Do not cut my nails shorter * Fake nail only on my big toes (left one was broken, so please be careful) Despite that, I was met with an attitude the moment I asked for regular polish. My broken nail was still cut and filed, and all my nails were cut way shorter than I asked. The pedicure water was freezing cold, and even after repeatedly asking for hot water, it barely improved. The tech also did not wear gloves and touched my feet after walking around the salon, which felt very unsanitary. The massage chair honestly wasn't great either. On top of that, she forgot about the fake nails on my toes and questioned me again about why I wanted them. If it's something you can't do, just say so.. I would've gladly waited for someone else or left. What really bothered me was seeing the nail dust wiped off into the pedicure water, leaving it cloudy and dirty. I also asked for the hot stone massage, which never happened. Overall, I didn't feel listened to, respected, or comfortable. A pedicure should be relaxing -- this experience was the opposite. But of course if you don't mind, this is the place for you. read more

I've been a customer here for a couple of years because the service used to be great, but the quality and customer service have declined over my last few visits. My nails have recently started breaking or chipping just a few days after being done, which never used to happen. A few weeks ago my toenails were cut so low that I nearly ended up with an ingrown toenail. Today I specifically asked that they not be cut too low, but they were cut very short again. The woman who ultimately completed my service today did a good job overall, aside from cutting them too short. Today's visit was also disappointing from a service standpoint. When I walked in, an employee nearly ran into me at the door and didn't acknowledge me. She then set up the foot tub without saying a word and even pushed my leg aside without speaking. She looked back at me with a frown before another employee eventually came over to finish my service. After being a loyal customer for so long, this experience was really discouraging, and unfortunately I won't be returning. I hope the salon works on improving both the quality of the work and how customers are treated. read more

Getting my nails or feet done is a luxury I don't do often and I'm a lil paranoid about the sanitary practices of pedicures ( have you seen the toe fungus pics! ) I was very happy with our experience here, we walked in (3 people) and was greeted and seated immediately all pedicures....the ladies started working on our feet quickly and scrubbing away. With in 30 minutes we were done. The painting was done expertly and they even put some flowers on my lil girls toes. This is from my 15 year old daughter: I got gel nails and they came off in two days. The paint was all over my skin, and I shouldn't have walked out without having them re-done. When we came back and complained 3 days later they continued to ask me if I was sure I came to this place, then finally they scheduled me for the next day. I went in, and the lady was visibly agitated at having to redo them, and hurried through it, and I have bubbles in several nails, she only painted one coat, and she painted over a piece of lint which is now stuck to my nail under the paint. Would not recommend. Very money hungry could care less about the health of your nails. Two of my nails broke badly (not their fault), but the nail tech asked several times if I wanted to add an acrylic nail on top of the two nails that we're bleeding . All while another nail tech thought it was funny and was laughing. It appears that there maybe two good nail techs but the overall experience was so bad I would never go back. Smh read more

I've been here a couple times, it was okay. It's close by my house and it's the typical nail place. Twice they tried to pull the we told you it was extra, when they did NOT. They don't speak English very well at all, that might be the problem. My last visit will be my last one. They overcharged again and then later that night my toe started hurting. Next morning I woke up to my toe very discolored, hurting worse and infected. 5 days later still looks funky but it's been treated with antibiotics. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is that the employees bring their kids who are running around screaming. Very cute kids but not my idea of relaxation. Kids don't belong in spas and relaxation salons. I had to tell them to quiet down and the mom got them to the other room. This is my second time here and both times it was the same kids running and screaming. Aside from the kids, the rest is simply heavenly. Free wine, awesome service great environment (except the screaming). I really hope one of the managers or owners reads this. Please keep your kids home. 2 months after first part of review was written: The kids are here EVERY time and I'm very close to deciding not to come any longer. I went to use a gift certificate for a mani/pedi and had never been here before. I was hoping to relax and enjoy the visit - but another customer talked loudly on her phone the entire time, no beverage was offered like in most salons, and my technician used her very long, jagged thumbnail for the foot and leg massage instead of her fingers/hands - it did not feel good. She didn't lower my pant legs after the pedicure was finished and I have never had the toe separators to hurt my toes, but when I had my husband take them off at home, I had red marks around my toes. Then within an hour or so after I got home, the polish bubbled on my fingers and toes. I called and left a voicemail about it asking how we could fix it or if they could issue a refund. They didn't call me back, so I called again after they opened and they told me to come in anytime and they'd fix it. I just went in and they said they couldn't fix it right now, that they were full. I've been getting my nails done every two weeks for roughly the past 27 years. This was by far the worst manicure in the Jacksonville area that I've ever had. I sat down at the station which had a wet, dirty towel. None of the tools were sanitized at all. First of all, it was incredibly painful - I found myself jerking my hand back at least five times because she had hurt me with either the drill or the file. When I stuck my hand into the UV light that was located inside the nail table, it was so disgusting that every time I put it in afterwards I just let my hand hover there so I didn't have to touch the surface that was so dirty. I have become a loyal customer of hers ever since the day my friend recommended her to me! I come in ever 4-6 weeks for gel mani pedi, I wish I could come more frequently but my schedule does not permit it. The interior of the location is gorgeous, relating, and inviting! These ladies/gentlemen know probably 90% of their clients by name, which proves these are repeat customers (I often recogonize many of them myself from past visits). Nancy is for the most part by-appointment only because she is THAT good... Her pink and white nails are the BEST in the area and I regularly get compliments on my nails (even after several weeks of wear). Ronnie (sp?) gives GREAT pedis and always takes extra care on ingrown toe nails. I don't know what I would do if she left - she's amazing! I went to Nancy for the last 5 years. She did an awesome job, until recently. Then, she did my nails like she wanted them, not the way I wanted them. I paid $30/hr for two hours (a brand new pink & white set + a tip), I assumed I'd get the usual nails, the way I loved them. But they were so thin, I was afraid they were going to break. When I asked her to fix them, she said NO & she'd "fix them next time." I had just PAID $60 for nails I HATED! She then told me to go somewhere else!! After FIVE years of being a loyal customer for my pink & whites AND pedicures!! (Trina did my pedicures ~ awesome job!!). I was loyal to Nancy for 5 years, but am now going to Tonya, who used to work for Nancy. Tonya has opened up her own salon called Tonya's Nails. Tonya is VERY accommodating!! She'll do whatever you want!! I LOVE HER!! I hadn't gone to her before because I was loyal to Nancy. I pay good money for nails the way I like them. This review is for my wife A 31-year cosmetologist who I purchased a 90 dollar gift certificate for her birthday. The gift certificate was for a full set of nails and a stone pedicure with keratin. When my wife sat down for the pedicure the nail technician brought the pedicure tub over for my wife to soak her feet, the water was very cold. My wife asked her if she could make the water warm. She asked her 3 times and was ignored until the owner heard the complaint. The owner made her warm up the water. Then because my wife complained about the cold water she did not give me a thorough pedicure. She did not remove the dead dry skin. She never received the keratin wax for my feet, cut the time short and gave her a very intense and rough massage on her leg. My wife told her she was hurting her and then give her a dirty look and said we are finished. Because of the rough massage, my wife's calve was bruised. My wife tried to ask about the colors to see which one would last longer so the polish would not chip. The technician ignored her and my wife felt she had an attitude before the service was performed. After the service, the owner cashed her out and she told him she was very unhappy with the pedicure and did not get the service she expected for 90 dollars and due to the fact she was bruised and told him she would never come back to this shop. The owner did not apologize and just took her money. I called the owner when my wife came home very upset and complained the way my wife was treated and again no remorse or we are sorry. I mentioned about the rough massage and bruise my wife received and they told me everyone is different and some bruise and some don't. They offered to refund the money and I said," it's not about the money it's about rudeness and poor customer service". They actually argued with me and told me to tell my wife not to come back. This shop acts like they are doing you a big favor to be able to have your nails done and pay good money for their rudeness and incompetence. Having been a former firefighter for 10 years and recently retired Chief Park Ranger for 20 yrs from northern California, I know what good customer service is and I know what bad customer service is.
