Extremely disappointing on several levels.
As a culinary experience, the main meals we ordered Baby Snapper and vegetables, Lamb and salad, Lamb wrap, Chicken open wrap, marinated octopus, all lacked that authentic 'Greek Charcoal' taste and flavouring, rendering them all quite unsavoury and bland to the palate.
As an ambience experience, the restaurant seating and decoration appears to have not moved out of the 1980's. The Bain-Marie right at the front of the restaurant instantly affronts the calibre and standard of the restaurant to an over-sized 'Take-Away Diner'.
The tables and seating were abysmally mis-matched, the pink salmon coloured knotted fabric dining chairs had obvious discolouring and imbedded stains, the threads were unravelling, separating and coming apart at the seams in places and they were hard and uncomfortable to sit on.
Pricing was top end- 1 entree plate of marinated octopus (which was tough and chewy) $22. The 'Souvlaki's-Lamb wrap and Chicken open wrap $20 each. The baby Snapper and vegetables $32. Can of coke $4.50. desserts- 1 medium size slice of Baklava $12, same of the Galatobouriko $12, 1 serving of ice-cream $9. For 2 adults and 2 children our total was $214.
Well Over priced for the quantity and quality tasting and presentation of the meals. Being of Greek origin myself made the 'unsavoury and blandness' of the meals even more obvious.
A positive point, the appetiser of dips-Tzaziki, Taramasolata, Skordallia & Eggplant were delicious (the only saving 'food item' grace) and the staff were friendly and the service was quick and efficient.
It was amusing to see on our departure, 2 of the waiting staff eating what appeared to be their evening meal, from their laps as they sat on the 'take-away order waiting chairs' right in the front window of the restaurant.
Sadly as an overall dining experience, I would not recommend this Greek restaurant. read more
