Bob is the Owner operator of the business and really know how to run a professional removal service.My Father in Law Passed away and we had 30 year old massive formica furniture pieces amongst other sizeable furniture. Bobs 2 workers that showed up in an hour after I spoke with Bob were true gentleman and professional as well as careful in removing the furniture and couches as well as being careful with not damaging anything else.As a true professional owner Bob showed up to help disassemble a massive formica headboard tower over 6.5 feet tall and 8 feet wide.Everything was handle with great care and respect to the premises.I feel so bad I didn't bring the 2 workers names with me back home to NY but they were respectable massive pro's.No need to shop around because Dr. Junk could have stretched this job out and gotten more money and he handled it like I've been a client forever. Don't waste you time with quotes Just pick up the phone call Dr. Junk and good chance you'll get Bob the owner ! You won't go wrong. After all the heavy lifting they cleaned up the entire path from to Condo to the truck including the elevator! I was greeted on the phone by a gentleman named Gilbert who was, kind, helpful and professional. I explained my situation and urgency for help. He was more than willing to immediately assist me! Exceptional customer service. We agreed on a price and a time as I had a furniture delivery on the way. He politely asked me for my contact information so he could arrange this pick up for me. In the midst of getting everything together, I am almost hit by a car in my neighborhood while I'm walking. Now I'm extremely emotional, confused and have so much to deal with. You can sell them ferrous scrap which sticks to a magnet such as appliances, cars, cast iron, steel, and sheet metal and non ferrous scrap such as aluminum, brass, and copper. They also purchase electronic scrap like cell phones, hard drives, and laptops. There is a list of prohibited items on their website that include obvious items like liquids, explosives, hazardous waste, batteries, lead, and mercury. I saw a bunch of the guys who pick up peoples garbage on bulk day come through with their trucks filled with metal. When you enter they weigh your vehicle and print you off a piece of paper with the weight. A lot of other centers take your license at this point but they don't do that here. Next you unload your metal on the ground where they say and then you get your vehicle weighed again on the way out. You then take your paper to the cashier and get paid. The cashier window was strange. You can't see in so you don't know if someone is there or not. You put your license and paper in the slot and eventually they take them. I guess someone got tired of waiting because they scrawled ass on the window. If you get change they give that to you with the receipt and your license back. You take the receipt to the ATM next to the window, hold it up to the machine, and it spits out your money. I was helping to clean up some property my family is getting ready for sale. We got an area cleaned out and scored $54. Win win!
