Ever since I started dabbling in Canva, I have done some designs and brochures for a few of the non-profits in which I am a member. And invariably, I end up at Flash Photo to turn them from computer design into beautiful trifolds. There are two gentlemen and a lady who know a lot about design and printing for best results. Their work is efficient, fast and reasonably priced. The store is also a UPS center, allowing for a one-stop shopping experience for all packages. As well, they accept and ship returns for both UPS and FedEx, wrap packages and take great care of the contents. On top of that, they do the old fashioned film development and have a huge array of frames. It's good to have a store in our small town that can handle all these different tasks. read more

Ship at your own peril! Received package and piece was damaged! We took photos sent them in like they asked and its been 4 months and they have not submitted a claim. We have been calling them and they promise the manager will call back but she never does! The attitude of these nasty people is unreal and competence well they don't have any! this business should close down they are not here to serve you they are here to serve themselves only! I'm a professional photographer and their prints are always beautiful and exactly what I wanted.

I had several Glass Pieces of Artwork shipped, it was covered by Insurance. However, one big piece was broken, unrepairable . I've called to report after receiving it. All I get is "I'll look into it" promising to call to let me know the status of the claim. It's now been 4 months- no answer. They are the worse in CUSTOMER SERVICE- stay away - read more

Ever since Flash Photo apparently changed hands they have reduced their services and the service itself is terrible. They have the attitude that they are doing you a favor by making you wait for long periods of time and then finally being disagreeable. The other day I went in to simply get a FedEx envelope. The man was waiting on someone and when she left he ignored me and spend a few minutes apparently doing something on a computer - I could not really see. Then when he asked in a distracted manner if he could help me I told him I simply needed a FedEx envelope. Mind you, they are an official FedEx shipper. He said "Oh I don't know if we have one." Then the same woman came back in and he proceeded to wait on her again. I left. I will never go there again. I will go to the Post Office instead where they are pleasant and helpful. read more

Mask and overall attitude problem. Employees including manager not wearing masks--this when New Hampshire generally and New London specifically is experiencing highest numbers of COVID cases and hospitalizations. When I asked about it, the employee snickered and told me "I have health problems that prohibit me from wearing a mask," at which point the manager appeared, sneered, and said "I have health problems too." Generally, some (not all) of the staff are ill-tempered and the vibe in Flash is often uncomfortable. Last year the same manager/owner(?) told a woman in line in front of me that no one in town likes him because he's "new" and comes from another part of the state, plus lived in Massachusetts. However, it's probably not that at all, as much as an oddly contemptuous attitude toward customers that--during COVID--plays itself out by not wearing masks, and generally seems weirdy aggressive. Apparently our household isn't the only one avoiding Flash Photo now, even though it's the only game in town for FedEx and UPS. We used to love Flash Photo. Now seems it is being run in a self-defeating manner. read more

Don't bother with this store. Every time I've been in I've been met with rudeness and incompetence. I've been the only customer in the store and 3 employees can't be bothered to help. The only reason this store is still in business is because they're the only one in town. I'd rather drive farther to another town then ever give them anymore business. New London would be a better town if this store shut down and took their horrible employees with them!! read more

Very unsatisfactory experience at Flash Photo yesterday: I arrived with printed return code from a Zappos purchase-- having been instructed to do so by the company, with the assurance that Flash, as an authorized UPS store, they would use the code to print a mailing label. The Flash clerk absolutely refused - sending me home to print the label myself. I had to phone Zappos to do this, for it required cancellation of my online return and a restart. When I explained what Flash Photo had done, the Zappos agent apologized saying about Flash, "I'm so sorry this happened. That was not cool." Total cost to me: an unnecessarily wasted hour of my life, requiring two trips to get this simple transaction done. Bottom line: ATTITUDE PROBLEMS at Flash. Not a good business culture. read more

I stopped in to mail my free Amazon return, but the process was difficult, it was not free, and also we're going to charge me to box the item. none of this was explained until they wanted the money. I found out toward the end of my transaction the manager was right there , and did not interject, to correct his employee. Poor management read more

I'm going here today to return a package to Amazon and I am hoping it all goes smoothly. Some of the reviews I've read aren't promising but I'll give anyone a chance. The employees don't know anything about photography and their printers are Walmart/CVS quality. My photos looked NOTHING like they did on their screen when they printed. After taking my photos with a DSLR camera and then editing on photoshop, the prints looked nothing at all like the original and lost all sharpness. Some of my photos also had streaks across it from the printer. Won't be going here again. read more

I took a roll of film over to be developed. They wanted an extra $13/$14 dollars on top of the development cost because they "send it out." I went to CVS. read more

Stopped in to find out if they had a duplex scanner because I had a unique project that required scanning both sides of a document at the same time. The middle aged lady behind the desk was immediately dismissive and rude. She completely ignored me for 5 minutes while "chatting" with another employee right in front of me. She acted upset to have to deal with me, and after asking her my question, she said "Well, I doubt we can do that" and turned to walk away. I had to stop her and ask if she could find out if they had a copier that could do this task. With a few deep sighs and in a huff she said no one was available that could help me and turned away. I later found out they did have this capability, but I refuse to give my business to someone who really doesn't care about getting it. read more

I was called for a package that had been returned. I called prior to leaving, a 30 minute drive that they indeed had a package for me and that it was there. I was told it would be waiting for me at the counter. I walked in to pick up the package and it was sitting on the counter. For some random reason the lady would not give it to and said she had to check on something. I said I needed to go to the store next door and I would be right back. When I came back the store was closed. I wasted an hour of my life. Small businesses wonder why no one shops there, maybe they should consider their crappy customer service. read more

It's really unfortunate this small town has such a monopolized photo and print store like this. The prices are outrageously expensive, about .35 cents per printed photo. The kiosks are low quality. I came in once to get a batch of photos printed and the employee helping me became extremely rude to me when she found out I had a Mac computer and that was what my flash drive had been formatted for. Okay? Sorry? But if you're a print store, you are more than likely to have people come in looking to have something printed off via a Mac platform. Even the kiosks weren't formatted for Mac- it's 2016 that was understandable maybe 10 years ago. I honestly will not be bringing my business to them ever again. I'll go to Concord, or bring my printing needs online or out of state just so that I don't have to get shafted with their outrageous prices, rude staff, or low quality products. It's really a shame because they could be a really decent print shop, but it's absolutely terrible and monopolized on the locals. read more
