It's unfortunate that they have a monopoly, but from now on I will travel a greater distance in order to have a more confidence-inspiring experience. Among other complaints, their tracking numbers are never working, they lost one of my packages and were useless in helping me track it or file a claim, and their customer service is generally poor. There was a young woman when I went in this week who was terrific! They need several more competent and well organized employees like her to turn this disappointing business around.

I ordered 1000 letterhead, 1000 second sheets, and 1000 envelopes - plus typesetting. This is about as simple and commonplace as a print job can get. But the job started going wrong from the first. And it kept going wrong. And it ended wrong. Everyone I interacted with - by email, telephone, or in person - seemed to know next to nothing about the printing business or office practice or customer service. The only exception was the CEO, Thomas Brayshaw, who got involved in my job temporarily because my "account manager" seemed to be incapable of discussing a print job without resorting to bluffing or lying. When the finished job was delivered to me, the return address on my envelopes was crooked. Rather than dealing with Mr. Brayshaw's employees for one more minute, I paid the bill and took my business to another printer. I related all this, in much more detail, in an email to Mr. Brayshaw. He did not even have the decency to reply.

This store would be fine if they got rid of some of very rude staff. A horrible experience simply…read morebecause I wanted to see the 1st page of my three files before the rest was printed. A quality control check is very much standard procedure. Being music, it was important that the copies are usable. (I have had files printed before that were apparently reduced when scanned and I wanted to make sure these files were going to be OK.) After getting a song and dance that it would create more work (honestly, I thought that was his job!), I asked if there was a problem printing the test pages and the answer was "no". But that didn't stop the incessant arguments about paper sizes and anything else he could make a case of. It was totally uncalled for and I felt I was being harassed. I finally had to say I wasn't there for an argument, just to have my files printed. It was a nasty experience and I will think twice, nay thrice, before ever deciding to step foot in this place again. If UPS is going to hire such unqualified help, they need to up their supervision.

And invariably, I end up at Flash Photo to turn them from computer design into beautiful trifolds. There are two gentlemen and a lady who know a lot about design and printing for best results. Their work is efficient, fast and reasonably priced. The store is also a UPS center, allowing for a one-stop shopping experience for all packages. As well, they accept and ship returns for both UPS and FedEx, wrap packages and take great care of the contents. On top of that, they do the old fashioned film development and have a huge array of frames. It's good to have a store in our small town that can handle all these different tasks.
