I love going to thrift stores specifically for children's books because who wants to pay full price when my toddler hasn't learned to take care of their things yet. The store was pretty busy, but staff was very friendly and helpful. They have furniture, appliances, kitchen gadgets, vacuum, clothing, toys, cribs, pretty much everything you could think of and more. The price is marked high, but if you come on a discount day, the price is very reasonable so very worth it. I will be back for more savings!

I oftentimes see things there that have price tags from a previous business and the Salvation Army price will be more. For example, I often see items from the Dollar Tree that are priced at $3. I have stopped going there and, from the look of the near-empty parking lot, it appears that a lot of other people have stopped going there as well.

It was in the sale section and originally marked for $55, but that number was crossed out and $30 was listed below it. I tried it on and said "I love it, and I'll definitely buy it as that is such a good price," and placed it outside of the dressing room while I tried on another item. After I finished trying on the second item, owner then pointed to the jacket's price tag and said "That's a 3, not a 5 - I couldn't possibly let a piece like this go for less than $50." Considering there was a 5 written right above the contested number, it seemed odd that she was claiming the number below was a 3. I was surprised she blatantly had changed the price on me, and said "ok I would have bought it for $30 but $50 is a little more than I was willing to pay today. I'll think about it and come back tomorrow." The next day, I came back and she told me she still had it but it was no longer for sale as she now thinks it's more valuable than the (raised) price she told me Friday. I, confused, asked why she would be unwilling to sell it to me today if she was willing yesterday, and she said she believes it may be vintage Halston despite the sewn tag on the coat saying "Nordstrom." I said fine and asked if I could take a photo as I liked the fit of the item. She then said "absolutely not, we do not allow pictures." Also worth noting that the owner followed around after me while I was browsing as if she was watching me. The prices in the store are also quite high.

Originally a women's boutique in the 40s, the current owner (a former actress) has the racks and shelves filled with vintage treasures. (And I do mean, racks and racks) The best part? The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable.

Not the fault of the store but when you can't try anything on that is incredibly frustrating. Then to return it (difficult when I live out of town) in the time frame only to get store credit to buy something else that may or may not fit and start the process over again is ridiculous. It would be one thing if the prices weren't so high to take a chance on something not fitting. The store credit thing is silly, other businesses don't operate that way. I have been shopping at Goodwill most of my life and spent a ton of money there, no more.
