This is my favorite thrift store in Kalispell. I always find something whenever I come in here, that is why it is so dangerous when I do! It is hard to leave sometimes because you can find so many good finds all at once and it can be overwhelming. I have gotten plenty of furniture at this location as well as clothing and household items. I will continue to shop at this location for a number of things because of the size of the store and how helpful the people who work there are. read more

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I stopped here again after five years and while there was a lot of inventory, prices have sky rocketed and it seemed dirtier inside as well. Its a sad day when I walk away from a thrift store empty handed. read more

Too expensive. I saw a cute little shirt that I thought my grandson would like but it was $7.99. Was probably $10 new and it was in decent but not great shape. I oftentimes see things there that have price tags from a previous business and the Salvation Army price will be more. For example, I often see items from the Dollar Tree that are priced at $3. I have stopped going there and, from the look of the near-empty parking lot, it appears that a lot of other people have stopped going there as well. read more

My children always have a great time in this store they have great toys and basically everything. We come to this thrift shop for fun. They always have a large variety. KalispelI, Montana seems to have three main industries: fishing tourism, gambling casinos, and thrift stores -tons of them for such a small and remote town in northwest Montana. We had just arrived in town in August, and it was 90 degrees, and my wife was sweating like a pig in her long pants, preparing for hiking in colder temperatures in nearby Glacier National Park. We check into the Super 8 motel, and across the highway is the mother of all Salvation Army stores, as large as a supermarket! The wife needs some shorts pronto, before she keels over from the heat. We walk or rather run across the 5 lane highway, dodging the 25 mph traffic and past the huge parking lot in front, and get in just before they close at 5pm. Wife purchases 2 pairs of shorts, and we get booted out of there before she can try them on. Wife tries them on in our motel, and we return the shorts the next day. No refund, but we get a store credit. Not knowing if and when we would be back in Kalispell, we shop around. Wednesday Kids clothes 50% off, but our kids are beyond that age. Furniture and lamps 25% off -not carrying that stuff back on the plane. Green clothes tagged 50% off. $5 minimum for credit card purchases. $25 purchase gets you a $5 coupon. This store has everything. Clothes galore, shoes galore, mainly women's clothes. Looks like Imelda Marcos' estate dumped all 700 pairs of her high heels here! Almost no men's clothes or shoes, so I checked out the women's sandals, and didn't see any, just regular women's shoes. No woman is giving up their sandals in this 90 degree heat! Tons of golf clubs and golf bags, ski boots -didn't see any skis. Ski boots in August!? No guns , but I did see a crossbow for sale. No fishing rods, and no cowboy boots. I guess folks here keep them for life. They even have a story time 10:30-2:30pm every Wednesday in the gazebo for the little demons. 4 hours of free baby sitting -can't beat that! Small section of books in the back, and I grab a few paperbacks for one way reading on the airline trip back home. Wouldn't you know it, but its Tuesday, and we miss the Monday books 50% off, but cash in on the Seniors 25% off. Cashier gives us the discount without batting an eye. You know you are getting old, when they don't check your driver license for the senior discount! read more

What a depressing store. Lots of broken things for sale. Prices are sky high. Lots of junk. I don't recommend this thrift store at all.

Very large thrift store with a lot of stock to choose from. Clothes, a large book selection, housewares, sporting goods, shoes, movies, and everything is organized. It could be a lot worse. Small electronics section too. Thrift shoppers should come here first before any other place in town. read more

Stopped in to drop off several household items. Asked for our bins back, worker said he could not give them to us because then he would have to carry the items himself. We chose to throw our items away instead of allowing a lazy selfish employee to dictate our lives. Very very unhappy! read more

Love going in to buy things and be stared at like I'm a child trying to steal and be followed around. Real classy place.

I had a giant pile of clothes in my arms. A very angry older woman with short grey hair turned off all of the lights in the store while we were in the dressing room, and refused to let us purchase our items. They are supposed to close at 6. We checked the time when we got back in the car.....it was 5:55. She told us that we had to come back tomorrow to buy our items. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. This is the first time I've posted a negative Yelp review. I've never felt the need to be a "Yelper" until tonight. read more

First thing if you don't live in Whitefish or Kalispell or the close approximate areas you CANNOT write a check!!! My friend who has shopped there for years, wrote checks there as I was with her there last May and she did. Well this time as we were checking out, big line behind us, NO you can't write a check because you live 60 miles away! SERIOUSLY!!! I had cash for her but really?? Ok now that I had to warn anyone who may not have cash and finds all the great stuff I did beware. Let me begin. Clothes galore and racks and racks of jeans!!!! Found lots of really nice ones!!! Nice vintage dishes, linens and glassware to my surprise. Good amount of small appliances and cookware. Good amount of furniture and a really nice display case of costume jewelry. And if you spend over $25 you get a $5 off coupon for your next visit. I would of given them 5 stars except for the male manager embarrassing my friend in line about her check!!! read more

I enjoy shopping at thrift stores, antique shops, garage sales, etc. because you never know what you might find. I went to the Salvation Army not too long ago and I was very disappointed at the prices! Did, thrift stores forget what the word THRIFT really means? I can tell you that it does not mean EXPENSIVE! I could not believe the prices that were listed on their items, for a few dollars more you can purchase the same item brand new! I remember when I was a kid my mom would take my brother and I to the Salvation Army for clothes. She was a single mother and that was all she could afford. Back then, it was about helping the community and giving good prices to single mother's and others that could not afford to buy new. Now, I feel that Salvation Army and most other thrift stores are about the money and not the community. I know a friend of mine that called the Salvation Army in Kalispell, Montana about a month ago and was needing help because they had just moved to the area and had no furniture. Her husband was getting ready to have a major surgery and needed a bed or a recliner and the woman that runs the place was very rude and told them that because their house did not burn down that they would not help them out. And proceeded to tell them that the people that lose their homes to fire still don't get their new beds! I feel that along the way these stores have lost sight of the real reason that they receive donations and why they are in business. As for myself, I will not be shopping there. read more

Very disappointed with this donation location. While we can all understand that every company has rules and in this case an opening time for dropping off donation items. The way we were met this morning when attempting to drop off a donation was appalling. My wife had two items to donate. Both in brand new condition. As she pulled them from the back of our vehicle, a man who works at the location. Yelled "do not cross that line, I said don't cross that line". Neither she or I confronted or responded the man as it's clear they are no longer looking for community support. She simply placed the items back in the vehicle and we drove away. Over many years we have dropped off many nice items at Salvation Army locations, in addition to marking other in kind donations and food. We did reach out to the location and have heard nothing back. Not sure where the rudeness stems from, however community relationship training and management direction may be a good place to start. Could just be an off day, not really sure, nor am I interested in finding out. Unfortunately we will never visit nor help such an unappreciative organization again in the future. read more
