However, if you need to go back to get a bigger bar you'd end up having to wait until the next week because they're open only Mondays and Tuesdays for piercing. Recently got my nose pierced my Liz & my friend got her daith pierced. We had set up an appointment for 6 and shown up probably 20 minutes early. We were seen at our appointment time and all of the staff were very nice and accommodating. I actually asked Liz which piercing she thought would suit me better and she gave me her honest opinion which I obviously went with. She made sure that I like where she marked it and double checked that it was symmetrical with my first nose ring which was very thorough. She was very kind throughout the process and made the piercing as enjoyable as possible. She was very quick and had a great bedside manner (if you would call it that). She did my friends in the same manner. The piercing wasn't too expensive and I appreciated the service. After searching high and low for a piercer that I can trust, I can definitely say that I will be going back to Flats for my next piercing. Also! I got both of my tattoos done by the owner. It was explicitly stated that basic touch ups would be free for life. At the time of my second tattoo, there were some problems with my first tattoo. Noticeable spots that were lacking in color as well as parts of the outline that were somewhat blurry. I brought this to the attention of the owner and he denied that he was the artist that did it. He refused to touch it up unless he was compensated. He did such a poor job on my first tattoo that I eventually had it reworked into a new design at a different studio that was nothing less than professional. Needless to say that his actions were disappointing and disrespectful. read more

Such an awesome shop with some super talented artists. I got my most recent tattoo here and absolutely loved the experience. They were all super friendly and welcoming. Also even though they are some of the best artists around you would know it by how they act. Super humble and down to earth. Also the shop is very, very clean which is obviously super important. My artist was Jenn. She is an amazing artist that gave me exactly what I wanted. Personally I think she is one of the best technically sound artists around. Great attention to detail and sound application of the ink. She will put something on you that will last forever. Prices are very reasonable as well. I have my next appointment to continue my sleeve this week. Excited to see what she comes up with as a design and to get some more ink. My husband and I had the honor of receiving tattoos from Holli Marie at the Atlanta tattoo convention. We are extremely pleased and excited about our tattoos. I did research on many of the artist and had my heart set on Holli. Both tattoos are stunning! The mermaid my husband got was beyond what we could have imagined. She is beautiful! Holli's talent, work ethic and professionalism are far beyond her years! And her husband is the perfect front man! They both made us feel like friends and it was by far our best tattoo experience. Right when my friend and I walked in we were so impressed by this place. It smelled really clean (like rubbing alcohol or some cleaning solution used for tools) so I had a feeling that Flats was a legit establishment with clean tools. My friend and I went in for a navel piercing and the piercer who did it, Liz, was very nice and helpful throughout the process. She knows her stuff and told us to contact her if we had any questions or needed help changing our jewelry. This was really reassuring and left us feeling confident in our decision to get pierced. If you have cash it is only $35, but if you use a card it is $40 plus tax. I have been wanting a nose piercing for a while now so I called ahead and they made me an appointment for the following week, I was quite nervous as I've never gotten a piercing with anything other than a piercing gun unfortunately but Liz was extremely friendly and helpful and made my experience amazing, she was so welcoming and answered all of my questions. Came here for a piercing, on a Wednesday evening as a walk-in. The place seemed very clean and fairly busy, but the piercer (Liz) was able to fit me in right away. I got two piercings (a second lobe and a helix). I didn't have a strong opinion about where to place the lobe, but now that I've had it for a few months I really like where she placed it; and while she didn't put the helix exactly where I wanted it the first time, she was very patient and worked with me to figure out what I was looking for. She didn't give me very detailed care instructions as I just got a different piercing pretty recently, but gave me the same advice as the previous place and that I've read online. It's been two months, and both piercings are well on their way to being healed and look great - and the price was pretty reasonable. read more

Holli was such an awesome and patient tattoo artist. I came in with my sister with rough ideas of what we wanted, and she really helped with my sketch to make it what I wanted it to be. She understood my nerves and helped me with the placement. I definitely am an indecisive person but she was never (visibly) frustrated with me, something I haven't found to be true with other artists. We came in as a walk in and we're able to solidify our designs, have them placed, and finally tattooed all within the hour (my tattoo is about half an inch and very simple). I honestly felt very limited pain, and she helped me choose the right color ink for my design. We were in the center of the shop, so there were a few other people getting tattooed right next to us. That didn't bother me, but I did notice a separate back room which I'm assuming one could request (but don't take my word for it!!). Also, don't judge the place by the outside. It's located in a small building next to a liquor store on the side of the road, but the inside is super clean and a perfect space. Overall I would definitely recommend Flats, especially Holli! read more

Worked with an artist named Holli. I wasn't satisfied with her communication. We discussed the tattoo many times, I showed her multiple samples of what I was looking to have done, I gave her $100 towards the total cost of the tattoo, I booked the appointment weeks away to give her enough time to have something ready. When I arrived at the tattoo shop for my appointment I finally got to see the design, the design was barely close to what we discussed, it didn't look like a lot of work had went into it, I don't mean to sound insulting but that's how I felt at the time. I didn't want to offend at the time but I politely said it wasn't what I was looking for, which she responded by trying to draw something on the spot, it made me uncomfortable that an artist would try to draw a very large piece the day of, it felt like there was little effort (some would say it was extra effort). After some time she asked me to reschedule, which I did, I wanted a refund but I didn't want to be rude, I thought there might have been some miscommunication on what I wanted done. I asked for a sample on the days leading up to the appointment and never got a response, I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page, the shop is an hours drive for me and I didn't want to waste my time or hers. Since I didn't get a response I never even followed up and neither did Holli, she never called the day of the appointment. I was always polite with her and she was never rude but I'm unsatisfied with the service provided, and the quality of the work shown. I'm not going to give a 1 star because I never got the tattoo but the damage is done, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
