I have been in CT for 4 years. I refused to get tattooed by anyone out here bc I couldn't find anyone good as in NY. But Mari is damn good. What I personally look for in a tattoo is clean lines. That seems like a given but a lot of people either can't do it, or it blows out (expands in your skin). Also I said I would never ever ever in my life get lettering. I am basically covered in what looks like a garden. No lettering. Just no. But, never say never. Not only did I get lettering, but I got it here in Connecticut. And I wish I could have handed her a $100 bill as a tip. Aside from the tattoo and it's quality, Mari made me feel comfortable. She even gave me some candy to double up on the slim chance I would pass out bc it had to go over a bone for a brief minute. Thank you Mari, I really hope I am spelling your name correctly. My husband and I got our anniversary dates in Roman numerals with a quote from game of thrones. We worked with Chris. His tat room was filled with awesome nerd stuff and we took turns watching netflix to entertain ourselves while the others were getting ink. The tats are beautiful! Every line is crisp and straight. I had him free hand some suns, and they are perfect. A real talent! We made another appt for 2 days from now and will continue to do so!

The moment the needle went through I smiled and sighed relief at how quick and painless he made it and my daughters face lit up with a happy smile and she said "Yes I'm doing it too". John is very calm, steady and supportive. He put the piercing exactly where I wanted it and used the exact procedure my daughter was looking for. I had recently had the nose pierced prior, by someone else, with placement I did not want because the artist said it had to be done that way. It was extremely painful and the process took much longer than Johns. Johns work was swift and painless and came out BEAUTIFULLY. It was also less expensive though I would have gladly paid more for his service! It's been two days and my daughter and my noses are looking and feeling great. The staff were fun and relatable. The shop itself was clean, welcoming and warm. Always feeling a little like an awkward girly, I brought my 20 year old son with me for moral support until my friend came to meet me. However, Matt and the group have a way of making you feel like you belong.. The amount of time this gentleman spent with me, discussing the tattoo and being honest about what works v what won't, was beyond refreshing. I know he and his friends and artists were all looking forward to the convention at the casino that weekend, and the fact that he squeezed me in, taking his time, and being so accommodating was really sweet. Following the treatments--particularly after the final session--I developed severe cystic acne, widespread inflammation, and ultimately additional pitted scarring, leaving my skin in far worse condition than before. I specifically sought treatment to improve my skin texture, not to end up with more scarring and breakouts. I also do not feel that my skin type or history were properly evaluated before treatment, nor do I believe the aftercare products provided were appropriate for my skin. When I later raised my concerns, I was met with a lack of empathy and professionalism. I was told I would receive a follow-up call, which never happened. During my phone conversation with the office, my concerns were dismissed, and I was spoken to in a rude and unprofessional manner. Rather than taking accountability, my reaction was attributed to "hormones," despite the timing and circumstances clearly aligning with the treatment and aftercare. After spending approximately $3,000, I was ultimately denied a refund and offered only complimentary facials, which are not an appropriate solution for the pitted scarring and skin damage I experienced. What has been most upsetting is not only the physical outcome, but also the complete lack of compassion, accountability, and customer care in addressing a very serious concern. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.
