I was transporting a non-mobile individual in a wheelchair for an appointment and upon entering the office, this particular receptionist shrieked at me to produce the patient's paperwork. She was completely, unacceptably rude. She visibly cringed at the patient and informed me that had I been another "minute late" she was going to "cancel his file". After the appointment with the doctor, I apparently was not pushing the patient's wheelchair fast enough up to the reception desk and she shrieked out "Hurry up!" Loud enough to cause other patients sitting in the waiting room to look up, startled. Maybe this particular receptionist needs more customer service training, but she certainly needs more training on interacting with people with disabilities.

Then when I called them back and explained that they should have included all that insurance information she told me that I needed to learn to advocate for myself at some point. Let me explain one thing. I am a 56-year-old woman who has had 14 surgeries. 3 of which were shoulders. I think I know how to advocate for myself. The staff needs to learn how to do their jobs. Overcrowded and absolutely no place to park my car. It has been better the last two visits. Dr. Klein is very knowledgeable and gave me options. The trouble is, I injured by foot. Something snapped. I am in a lot of pain. I called for an appointment, the receptionist said the foot doctor was in, just a moment and I will make sure he can see you. I sat on hold for 6 minutes. She gave me an appointment at 2:45. Just as I am about to leave for the appointment, the Office called to cancel my appointment with the excuse that I am Dr. Klein's patient I must see him another day. I work, and not in Geneva or Clifton Springs. I have been waiting all day. She said she was SORRY and hung up. I called back and cancelled my October surgery consultation. I will go somewhere else. Patients are consumers, I will go where I feel I am respected.

They have been awesome with helping myself personally become a new patient from my previous dentist who wasn't the best.
