As always, I headed to Yelp and while there are a million and one places to go to get your hair done, not only did this salon have awesome reviews, but it was less than 5 minutes from my house which let's be honest, convenience will make you a little more willing to trying some new. I decided to call and it was sooo easy to make an appointment for the next day at the very time I wanted! I arrived for my appointment and had no problem finding the salon since I knew exactly where it was (corner of Veteran's Memorial and Discovery Blvd across from the Chevron). There was plenty of parking so that was no issue either. I walked in and appreciated that I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the young lady let me know the stylist I was seeing, Shirley, would be with me shortly. Off to a great start*wink* Shirley walked up to me and introduced herself and let me know we would get started and promptly took me to the area where she washed my hair and I must say, she did a wonderful job. Afterwards, she placed me under the dryer and then I was in her chair getting styled. I liked that she asked how exactly I wanted my hair styled and once I was finished she even pinned my hair up for me and gave me a shower cap to protect my hair from the drizzle outside. She was super friendly and I absolutely loved my hair when I finally decided to take the pins out the next morning...and I got a lot of compliments! Overall, the salon is super nice...big and spacious with plenty of wash bowls and dryers. Loved the atmosphere from the music that was playing to the friendly staff. Oh and the pricing is reallllly reasonable. I'll definitely be back!

I had literally hours before leaving. Sooooo after frantically searching and calling around I landed on this salon. The stylist probably was gonna smack me bc I was like puhleeessssseeee don't tangle my hair or pull my hair out and I was watching her like a hawk . She thinks I don't speak understand Spanish but I do . Needless to say, my hair was LAID by the time they got done. The smoothness and flowiness (yup, made that word up) was fire just like my girl Johanna in DC and the Dominican salons up in NYC. Even the stylist on set was like - yeah, would not have gotten your hair that straight, it's beautiful. I had very little reversion and just washed my hair from last week -- no breakage or damage. So if I'm in ATL and I need (or want) to get my hair straightened and pin curled this is my spot.

Let me start by saying that everyone I came across was super friendly. Like SUPER friendly. I felt very welcomed. I went in for a blunt short cut. (The night school does not start appointments until 5:30pm btw) I was shampooed and then seated for my haircut. The haircut and style took about 2.5 hours, which is a very long time for what I was getting. HOWEVER, I know that these are hair stylists in training but I guess I just didn't know how long to expect to be there. My haircut was a little uneven so the supervisor fixed it up for me. It isn't perfect now but it is pretty decent. I'm not sure I would go back just because of how long it took.

Management needs to train them on basic client relations - Don't talk negatively about the clients fiancé to their face. Don't stalk an ex client around the salon. Don't keep smacking the clients forehead as a joke when they're obviously not comfortable. Don't share your deep life traumas after the first 20 minutes of meeting the client. Some of the stylists simply need better professional boundaries. I found most of my experiences there draining and tedious.

I have had similar treatment done for the past 6/7 years of my life and this result is just as good, if not better than the previous treatments i've done. I would advise you to really take this review into consideration if you haven't already booked with her and are thinking about it or just chalk up the lil 20 dollar deposit. I made my appointment for 12 May , 7pm around 30 April for my bday Photoshoot & trip to vegas on 13 May & Paid my deposit on the site. I was just coming from Germany and I don't know about the ATL area like that but I had seen her instagram years and thought about her for the particular look I Was trying to do, her work looks fire. I was supposed to drop my wig off as her site said but I didn't have the address a phone number or nothing (should've took that into consideration before booking) but I assumed since she's active on IG getting in contact with her wouldn't be a problem. The site also says your appointment will be canceled if you don't bring it in a head of time. 3 days before my appointment I messaged her on IG, commented on her post, and tagged her in a post. No response. I would have just cancelled but my card was on file from the deposit & I couldn't get a hold of her. So Then I googled her IG name & found her address & #. Reached out to her explaining the situation & she was dry & unresponsive even then, so when she didn't reply with address I waited til next morning, now we are day of and my appointment is at 7pm, & I text her the address I found and ask her to confirm. At this point I'm like whatever I can deal with the attitude I need my hair done for this shoot, because who am I gone find on such short notice, then I'll just be on my way. She then calls me at 335pm asking if I could "come any earlier" but since she was already dry and unresponsive I was just wanted to get my hair done as soon as possible and be done. I arrive to the address. She could've explained about how the entrance to her building. With a building like that Most stylists know their customers have issues finding the actual entrance, but maybe she don't talk to her customers just her friends while doing they hair.. you have to walk around (3min or so) the actual building to get To the salon & somebody has to Let you in. She let me in around 5, took my wig and didn't get start until after 6, she didn't have a braid my hair which she expressed excitement about so she could leave early for the day. She only asked me about the part but I figure she the professional and know how lay a wig so I Don't need to tell her where the wig should go. She laid the wig right to left vs middle and sides instead of middle to sides but ok whatever. She didn't even use alcohol to clean the space before applying the glue but cool. She then starts to do the wand curl after blow drying hair and says that the hair won't curl and it's bad hair So after a while I'm like ok then we won't do it, When I look in mirror it looks as if my eddy monster is sticking out my hair line, she said it wasn't and my eddy monster was behind the wig, she said she don't put wigs on foreheads because it will look crazy then she said she don't put wigs on the hair line. So where does the wig go? It's behind my eddy monster LOL, the eddy monster is out, after convo she asked if I just wanted her to take it off, but she wouldn't be able to reapply it because she has to get her son from school (7pm). This was for my birthday shoot. She didn't charge me for the waves she said she couldn't do but now for the main reason I'm doing to this review, I got home and used my own wand curlers and it curled so that's what pissed me off because she was so ready to get out of there she said she couldn't do what probably would've added another 40 min to the appointment... She is heavy-handed, inconsiderate, not friendly or welcoming. Who has full conversation on the phone and when on speaker while doing hair and talking to friends about being drunk? I don't know if I got the out of state, one time customer treatment or what but It's crazy out here, yal be safe.
