This is my first time ever leaving a review on YELP, that's how much I want to recommend Flawless Arborist. Joseph (owner) gave me an estimate and we made an appointment right away. I sometimes feel uncomfortable asking about whether a business is bonded and insured, and I appreciate that he volunteered that info right away. I had several things done- hedge and tree trimming. An issue being that a viburnum hedge on property line needed to be removed to before a new fence could be installed, however, the stump grinding couldn't take place until the old fence came down. He understood the problem and solved it, with no stress and at reasonable cost. No sign of debris when done. He is very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. When asked he made excellent suggestions for my future landscaping dreams. I will definitely call him again for future work. Thanks Joseph! read more

EDIT: Well, after receiving a few additional quotes for service we needed, come to find out his prices aren't even reasonable. Prompt response and reasonable pricing, but that's about all I can say to recommend this company. We have 2 trees that needed attention post Irma. One definitely needs to come down, and one is questionable. Since there is significant memory attached to the questionable tree, and we were uncomfortable with taking it down, I told him we were going to hold off and get a second opinion, just to be sure that was the route we wanted to take. This was his response: Alright Unfortunately we are unable to get you in anymore. Indecisive In a time of need there is other people who have trees on there home and you wasting my time at this point. I needed a tree and stump removed from my front yard in order to expand my driveway. Joseph was quick to drive by and give me a quote and patiently explain the process of applying for a tree removal permit through Hillsborough. Another company i contacted for a quote never called me back. I had one other company come to give me a quote and he quoted me $200 more and said I didn't need a tree permit and also told me my tree was dead when it wasn't, very shady. I'm glad I went with Flawless Arborist, on tree cutting day Joseph txt me to let me know what time he would be here and he was quick and efficient. He's pleasant to talk to and very professional. He cleaned all the leaves, wood, debris and disposed of it. My yard looked nice after. I would definitely recommend him to friends and neighbors. read more

Joseph and his team are amazing! We relocated from out of state to a home that was incredibly overgrown, including a vine grown all over the pool cage. Joseph and his team worked quickly and efficiently. In just two days they transformed our rainforest of a back yard to an open space. Our yard is bigger than we thought! He communicated with us throughout the process and kept us updated as to their progress. We are amazed with the results. Incredible experience!! So professional right from the start. Very reasonable estimate for large oak tree pruning,removal of long stone pathway and replace with topsoil and grass seed (per my request), trimming of tall hedges and removal of small bushes. Wow, I'm so impressed with this company. I'd used several other arborists in the past and have been so disappointed. I had several beautiful specimen palms that were trimmed to the point of near death. It took nearly two years for them to recover and finally need to be trimmed up. Before risking any more expensive mistakes, I took the time to search every nook and corner to find the right folks to take care of my trees. I finally talked to a few companies before reaching out to Joseph, the owner of Flawless Arborist. I must admit that I was very cautious and leery when first speaking with him, but those feelings soon disappeared. I was so impressed with his attitude and professionalism, I buckled and thought that I'd give them a test run. Oh my goodness, I could not have been more pleased! Today is September 13, 2019. Thankful to have found Joe McDonald at Flawless Arborist, an individual with a solid work ethic. We asked Joe to come out last week to see what could be done to bring our landscaping back to health. We've had queen palms as part of our landscaping for 30 years. Regrettably the individual who last trimmed the palms caused an infection (he probably did not disinfect his equipment) and also cut into the trunk of one of the few remaining healthy palms with a chainsaw. The palm had become a hazard and would have fallen and damaged the roof. I was also upset at the damage caused to most of the other plants in the landscaping. Joe came out to assess the damage within a half hour of my call asking for help. He is competent and qualified, and explained his recommendations in detail. He also provided recommendations on what we can do ourselves to help bring the landscaping back to health. We scheduled an appointment after Joe gave us his estimate. He and his team spent an eight-hour day in the brutal Florida sun cutting down diseased palms, trimming overgrown plants and landscaping, and hauling debris. The team's work is impeccable, they caused no damage, and rescued two baby squirrels. Our neighbor asked Joe and his team to come out a few days ago and take care of his landscape issues. We will call Joe back in April or May, as he recommended. We know that if we have any problems with the landscaping before then, Joe will be out to take care of it.
