Most people around here just call the place Fleet Farm. Don't bother heading to the place on the map unless you want to walk into the post office and see if they can help you. Emergency stop. We are in the process of moving and blew a trailer tire. The person who changed our tire and put on the spare suggested we stop here to purchase a new spare tire incase the spare and other tire go before we get home- about an hr drive north. We got here at 4:30 pm and were told they couldn't put two new tires on because they close at 5 pm. But we could make an appointment. We ended up just buying one for a spare and hope we can make it home. We bought two new tires but do not know where the movers buried them yet. So, my review is only on this situation that they were not willing to help. I know it was t going to take 30 minutes to put on two tires. read more

I had to return a very expensive sonar/chartplotter (Garmin) becuase it didnt work. The desk clerk was incredibly helpful, friendly, & courteous. In a matter of about 5 minutes, my refund was issued! No hassles, no long interogation about why I wanted a refund. Simply, "sorry this didnt work out for you, and is there anything else I can assist you with?" Fleet Farm is my husband's go to store when he needs fishing or hunting things. We also purchase items for canning and freezing. It has a great selection of outdoor things. It is located right by the ramp to head to the north woods. We usually fill up on gas here, too. We have had tires purchased here and have had service done to truck. Always find people helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. read more

I wanted to thank all the staff at the Wausau Fleet Farm Auto Service Department. They all have been exceptionally friendly and helpful in helping me with recent tire-related issues I had with my car. I especially wish to thank Mr. Keith Spatz for really going the extra mile to help me yesterday. I had misplaced my wallet and he actually took time out of his busy day to drive me (in his personal truck) to my house so I could get my checkbook. Wow!! That sort of dedication in helping customers is very rare in our current retail culture. I've always enjoyed shopping at Mills Fleet Farm, but I now have a much greater appreciation for their auto center! What a great team, and how refreshing and wonderful it was to experience such exemplary dedication to customer service!! Fleet farm is having a Rural Life sale right now. Today is the first day, so I waited until this AM to place an order for 15 T-posts advertised as on sale. They are "not available" in either Wausau or Antigo. What kind of farm store does not have 15 T-posts in stock , especially when they advertise them? Last time I asked about fencing supplies, I was told what aisle to look in, but that it was probably empty. They seem to want to be Wal-Mart, not a farm store. read more

Bought a 8'X10' outdoor storage plastic shed back in September and the first thing I noticed was the packaging was all water logged because it was left outside. I figured it being a shed made of plastic it wouldn't matter. A month later when I finally got the foundation set up for the shed I find out that I only got half the shed so I went back to see if they got the other half. They took my phone number down and said they'd call me when they got another shed for me and I can return the half that I got. Another month went by so I went back and they had no idea who I was and what had happened so went through the process of explaining to them what happened. So they said they'll find the other half for me. Another month went by and now it was December and they still don't have any information on what is going on. So went through the process again and they said they'll give me a call. Finally a month later now in January I took the half of the shed back and told them I wanted a refund and then they tell me that if I wanted the other half that they found it in their warehouse. Being fed up I told them I just want my money back so apparently they had the other half lying around but just didn't want to take the time to find it for me until I wanted a refund. The shed was over $800 so there was no way I was just going to let this go unsettled. They probably hope I would just get tired of the run around and not come back. Each time they always called the store manager and the store manager always had them take my information down and told me they'll give me a call but never did until I finally wanted my money back then they said they found the other half. So if they found it why didn't they give me a call since I had already went there three times already. Bought the shed back in the fall so I can put my lawn mower and a bunch of crap in it instead of the garage so I can put my car in the garage for the winter but now the mower is sitting outside with a tarp in the snow and no room in the garage for my car. Just wasted 5 months. read more

Since they were bought out the inventory is nothing. I went to purchase a twelve foot cattle gate and they were out. I called the Marshfield location and they said they had five in stock. I drove 40 miles and to find out their inventory was wrong. Just today ( the first of December) I went to the Wausau location. They were out of bar oil and creosote destroyer. Kind of popular things in the middle of winter. In July they were out of baler twine; middle of hay season. The shelves for most farm related items are bare. Don't waste your time driving there, they are out of it! read more

Friendly service and good prices, for the most part. Some of the toys, shoes, and clothes can cost at an higher end. But a lot of the other things can be very cheap to fair pricing. Has a bit of variety of things to buy. This is one of the few stores that associates will say hi to you at when they walk by. The cashiers are always way above standards and friendly. The only suggestion I have is an update on the bathrooms. I think anyone who needs the type of items they sell would really like it there. read more

Bought a fishing license at the front counter and received a coupon for a free mug. When I went to check out later, the clerk said the mug could be found on the other side of the store, near mumblemumble, so I left to find it, slow four-year old in tow because he had to come too, as the clerk started to ring up my purchases. (While I'm off looking for it, wife there in my stead, I should take the opportunity to say this is probably not the best place to stock the mug, behind, 1., the front counter where coupon is dispensed and, 2., the check-out counter, where all goods -- free mug included -- must be, you guessed it, checked out.) Ok, I'm back now, mug in hand, 4-year-old too, and yep, my wife just finished checking out, so I show the clerk my mug and hand him the coupon before he can start to ring up the next customer, and he looks at it for a long moment, as if his future is written on that coupon and he wants so badly to understand it ... but ultimately can't. "Are we all right?" I say, and now he gives me that same look, because the coupon requires a purchase, don't I see? No, I don't. I remind him of the two fishing rods I just bought. He looks at me as if I spoke Farsi. I say, okay, I'd like to return this fishing rod, then buy it again. He now looks as if he has to pass a stone, and I give up, saying this is my first experience in a Mills Fleet Farm, is this really what you want me to think it's like? He had no answer. I've been going to this store since I was a child. It used to have a lot the things a small dairy farmer needed and always seemed like it was ran well. In the last few years however it has taken a turn for the worse. My biggest complaint is how slow they are to restock an out of stock item. Some spaces on shelves will sit empty for over a week to almost two weeks. I would think that it should take no longer than 3 days to restock an item. Second is there is always a very limited number of checkout aisles open. Each line is usually at least 3-4 people long. Third is not really the store's fault except it'smaybe partially caused be the narrower than normal aisles, but the other customers are constantly in the way and seem to be oblivious to other shoppers trying to navigate the store. Whether it's two people standing with their carts talking in the middle of an intersection or just a person with their cart blocking a whole aisle while they stare at a shelf. Once again, that isn't entirely the store's fault. In the past when I would have a long list of things to buy I would stop at fleet farm first and then go to Menard's to get anything I couldn't find a fleet farm. Without even realizing it at first I started to do the opposite now. read more

I like that FF has most everything I need, and it's quite close to me as well. I especially like that they offer kerosene; torpedo heaters need fuel in the winter. What I don't like is the lack of adequate staffing, and the lack of semblance of organization outside of the tool area. I'd stay away from their store brand boots and clothes, but they do offer Carhartt, which is quite good. read more

Fleet Farm has the best prices for Truck and Van tires in the Wausau Area, but mark my word, it's the worst service anywhere in the city. After buying four sets of tires at their facility in the last three years I've decided I will take the tires elsewhere to be mounted from now on, because apparently even though they sell you the tires they have no time or employees to mount them. read more

If you decide to shop here, be VERY AWARE of their return policies, especially electronics. If you have the receipt and you've passed the thirty day mark(for electronics), they aren't interested in details just in getting rid of you. Sure wish that would have been posted near the trail cam I bought that failed between 30 and 60 days. Can't imagine buying Xmas electronics here because of no recourse if the item is bad. read more

The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Store is always clean, and is pleasant to be in. They have a little bit of everything, but do nothing exceptionally well. Still one of my favorite stores to be in. read more
