New bathroom: vanity, mirror, lights, tile

Steve, Bill, and the entire team did an amazing remodel (complete gut) of our bathroom. Their work was impeccable with amazing attention to detail. I loved how Steve always checked on our preferences to make sure he matched what we wanted, but also offered his ideas when we asked. He had a clear vision to move the layout around to make our bathroom feel larger and more functional, and he was exactly right. His and his team's experience came through throughout the entire process. They also worked extremely well together and operated professionally and courteously. Our bathroom was truly customized from start to finish and stayed within our budget. We are super happy with the work and look forward to our next project with Fleming Contracting. It's hard to tell in a pic, the sealant is wearing off and now I have to pay to get it coated again. I have .ore pics but they don't show it

Steve and another guy knocked on my door asking if I wanted my driveway sealed using what was left over from job they did up the street..the were asking $400. My driveway was only a year old and needed sealed so I accepted and let them seal my driveway. The product was so watered down it looked like they were spreading water. A week later, the sealant is wearing off from driving on it.. WTF dude? Guess I learned not to trust people saying they are giving you a deal!

We hired this man on Time and Material and boy was that a mistake! He was hired to remodel a…read morefinished basement with some electrical wiring and putting in a door. He started at the beginning of December and snuck out like a weasel while we were gone in mid March. What should have taken maybe a couple of months turned into four and still the job is not done after many assurances it would be finished. He is excruciatingly slow working. He was only on site for 6 hours at the most per day and charged us for travel time. Many smoke breaks. We starting warning him two months into the project that we were going to run out of money at this pace yet he did not change his routine. He promised he was a "nice guy" and would finish the job without being paid any more than we had already given him (15K cash not including materials!). He didn't show up for a week and a half because he "hurt his back." He had his wife call to tell me he wouldn't be coming. He was a one man show with a "clean up" man who picked up after him and he continually called him stupid. Eventually, the clean up man stopped coming. Ray gathered up all of his equipment one day while neither one of us were at home and left. While I thought his work was very meticulous, upon closer inspection, it turns out he was just slow. He is very good at laying tile (slowly). He put speaker wires through the walls to where we wanted to hang small ones and without checking that they worked, proceeded to finish the walls. One speaker does not work. He "cleaned" the perimeter of our brand new concrete flake floor and used some sort of solvent and that part of the floor is now missing it's top coat of polyurethane and it is a darker color than the rest. After he snuck out and many attempts to contact him to ask what his intentions were, he then put the blame on us that we were insulting him (we never said a bad word prior to this) and that we needed to thank him and apologize to him before he would come back. Needless to say, he will not be coming back. I hope no one else falls for his "act" of being a "really nice person."

Beware! I hired this company to perform work on my rental property in the Southside of Pittsburgh…read moreat the end of June/beginning of July of this year. Initially when speaking with Scott he was enthusiastic, pleasant and said that they could fit me in very quickly. The work was to finish siding the second and third stories on my home as well as adding a gutter to the kitchen addition and fixing what was an on-going leak in the front of the house by placing a new board and sealing it correctly. First off they did not complete the work as requested. They never fixed the leak the right way and I have since then had water damage inside. They completely left off fixing the gutter on the kitchen. They were late getting the job finished and demanded that I pay them the full amount because they had been working and needed to pay their labor even though they said the rain delayed their finish date. I paid them, unfortunately, and only after they had my mother in tears. She was there to check in on their progress. Scott who was leading the construction apologized to me on the phone for this and blamed it on his self proclaimed "lack of people skills." I paid him and a few days afterwards they did show up to finish the siding. Three weeks after finishing the work the siding began to fall off. I contacted them about a dozen times and they only answered once. Scott promised to go fix the problem that week and said that his wife Gema had not given him the messages that I sent via email and left at the office. He also said his voicemail was full and that is why he didn't know to call me back. However I also sent him text messages so really that is no excuse. They never showed up! After they did not fix it as promised they never again answered any of my communication. Since then I have contacted them approximately 100 times (again, via email, text, or phone) with NO response. The only word for that behavior is unethical. Now I have to go through doing a claim with the Attorney General and/or a small claims lawyer to try to get this resolved. Please do not put yourself through the hassle of working with Scott and his wife Gema Kun (who is the company manager). Their numbers are 412-979-2897 and 724-541-7030. They are scam artists that do poor work and leave honest, paying customers out in the cold. Again, you have been warned. I hope my bad experience helps you. Please note this is my first ever online review. I have also left this on Google and the Yellow Pages. If MGS wants to resolve this issue they know how to contact me through ALL of my contact information. However if they choose to write a response to this justifying anything or blaming it on me, please be advised they are lying. I have not only myself and my mother but also five very angry renters than back up this experience.

BEWARE. This contractor was late getting started on the project and never completed the project…read more The project was started but the contractor failed to return and complete the work. After many attempts to contact him to work out a resolution, the contractor would seem interested in completing the project. We scheduled meetings to discuss completion for which he never even showed up. Eventually, he refused to return calls, text messages, answer voicemails or emails. Legal action was required, as MGS was paid a deposit.
