A fantastic experience! For several weeks we consulted with bathroom experts and plumbers. Every estimate said we would need to spend thousands to tear apart 1 or more walls. Steve came over and immediately took a problem-solving, troubleshooting tactic and realized that a leaky fitting was the issue and fixed it. He even went to Home Depot for us to check for available shower heads. Several weeks later he came to fix our closet door that had torn the main guide wheel out. These people don't respond. I spoke to Steve and he told me to email pictures of my property and my address. I emailed them and no body bothered to respond. I also called Steve and left a voicemail. No call back received. I wasted my time contacting them. I'll be contacting someone else. This guy is very rude. He just emailed me separately making nasty comments. Also Mr. Steve, I'm a female. Steve and another guy knocked on my door asking if I wanted my driveway sealed using what was left over from job they did up the street..the were asking $400. My driveway was only a year old and needed sealed so I accepted and let them seal my driveway. The product was so watered down it looked like they were spreading water. A week later, the sealant is wearing off from driving on it.. WTF dude? Guess I learned not to trust people saying they are giving you a deal! read more

I contacted Steve in February 2022 after shopping around for a contractor for a multiple room home remodel. After meeting Steve, we immediately knew we did not have to look any further for a contractor. The project included converting the garage into a basement and adding a full bath, knocking down walls and creating an open concept kitchen/living space. Lastly, the great room, combined with the master bedroom, creating a master suite with a laundry room. This project was not unlike a typical HGTV program! And Steve does not fall short as our Pittsburgh version of an HGTV celebrity! From our experience, with such a large-scale project, Steve and his crew proved to be reliable, professional, and highly talented. Steve takes a no-nonsense approach and gets to work. He communicates every step of the way and never leaves you hanging. His pricing is fair, and you will never feel taken advantage of. Steve projected 3 to 6 months for our job and finished right around six months. Issues came up when the bulkhead in the kitchen was taken down and the electrical and plumbing had to be rerouted. Steve faced this issue head on. The transformation and quality of the product was nothing short of a miracle. Steve is not only talented in the construction area, but also with design. He designed all the woodwork, including shiplap, beams, and fireplace walls. He helped us create a modern design with updates that will last for years. You will never go wrong with Steve and Fleming Contracting. Look no further if you want a contractor who is fair, communicates, and delivers a high-quality, well-functioning, beautiful product. We had a pipe burst at our property and they were Johnny on the Spot THAT DAY. Throughout the water mitigation and the reconstruction they were absolutely fantastic. Quality and efficiency was spot on. One of the very few good experiences we've had with a contract. I hired Steve to do a large excavation job last summer and he and his team did such a great job that we had to hire him back for further work on my home. I called Steve to see if he'd install a hood vent over my range oven. It was a relatively small job, but required the removal of the over-the-range microwave and duct installation to vent outside. Steve was able to come immediately that following night to my home to review and prepare for the job. He got back to me later that evening with a proposal of estimated time and cost. Since it was such a small project, Steve was able to fit me in the next weekend where he and George completed the project much faster than he had estimated, which was great because I wanted to start using it as soon as possible. Steve even went the extra mile and went to an HVAC specialty store to get a stainless steel backsplash that he custom cut to fit behind the hood and came back to install it the next day. I was so impressed with his work I had Steve come back a month later to remove my stair railing and build a half wall so that I could properly install a baby gate for my toddler. The process on this job was the same as the other times I dealt with Steve, he responds quickly when you call him, does his best to come out to check out the job as soon as possible, and gets you on the schedule as quick as he can. The half wall looks so good that you can't even tell it was added after the fact. I couldn't be happier with Fleming Contracting and Steve for all the work he's done at my house.
