Bottomless Brunch Prosecco
Colleen M.

I love Flesh & Buns and always try to make it in while I'm in London as it's such a treat. The ambiance is dark and vibey - though it's quite dark so easy to lose track of time! We did the bottomless brunch and were thrilled with it. For the full 90 minutes, our glasses were never less than 75% full, our server was really on it. The wine was tasty as well, unlike some bottomless deals where you are served pure shwill. The edamame portions were huge and the chili salt was delicious, not too spicy at all. The corn tempura add on was sooo yummy, glad we paid the upcharge to make it happen. They were out of pork altogether so we had the option to sub in duck - it was SO good and crispy. Tasted almost like turkey and played so well against the doughy soft buns. Lastly, we got free shots since it was my friends birthday. All in, a great experience.

Stopped by Flesh & Buns for an early lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the restaurant was relatively empty. Ordered from the lunch menu which was a terrific value and the food was solid though nothing really stood out.

Duck leg bun 8.32/10- the duck was huge and I liked that we were able to shred it ourselves and put it in the buns. Incredibly fresh, juicy, and tender packing lots of flavor. I wish they gave more than 2 buns, however you can order more Calamari 8.12/10- very delicious, not over fried, gave big pieces of squid, flavorful and the peppers added the perfect amount of spice. A little salty but great Broccoli 7.84/10- this was quite delicious. I think the sauce was sesame I could be wrong however it added so much flavor and made the broccoli actually taste great Prawn tempura sushi 4.88/10- this was okay, it wasn't that flavorful and they gave such a small portion. Was honestly quite disappointed considering it is a Japanese restaurant and they have a lot of sushi and sashimi options

Flesh and Buns has several locations and features buns, of many shapes sizes and flavors. I went in for a quick snack and ordered the crispy squid. Great seasoning, delicious, hot and tasty. If I had gone with a group I would for sure have ordered a bun set. Service is fast and attentive, and ambiance varies by location but is pretty nice with Japanese and Asian tapestries and wall decor all around.

It's a fun dinner. And good isn't bad to boot. But it's mainly a fun get together. My first time here. I'm familiar with their other restaurant... I can't remember the name. Ugh! Sorry. It may come to me. It's listed as a drink and dessert here. Yes! Bone Daddy's. Whew! Focus Factor saves the day! Anyhow. It was fun. And the flaming S'mores was the crowning bit of fun. (I've finally been able to grow a beard that actually looks good instead of a patchy sparse sorry-looking thing). I was a bit concerned about the flaming dessert sticking to said beard. But all good. I thought I'd share that.

Menu for Brunch on Sunday

Went here in between Part I and Part II of the Harry Potter play just down the street. It was close and perfect for the time we had for this long 2.5 hour intermission. If you go for Sunday brunch, as we did, it is good value because they don't reduce the size of their dishes to a brunch size. The don't substitute anything. Every thing was delicious! the BBQ Pork Fat was very meaty and the Ceviche was excellent!

A group of friends and I came in just before closing (i know, sorry!!). I got the mushroom dish with buns. The buns were the best thing I have ever tasted and the service was incredible. Definitely recommend.

Salmon Teriyaki and Japanese Fried Chicken large plates

Went for a friend's birthday lunch. We each got one large Flesh & Buns plate which we enjoyed, but would recommend also getting small plates as we were still hungry after that.

(This review is for Flesh & Buns Fitzrovia, but I can't find them on Yelp) First, any restaurant that has a "press button for pisco sour" (or any alcohol, for that matter, wins!) Korean fried chicken wings are fabulous- an order of 5 is plenty (I should have ordered the buns to eat with these!) I got rabbit katsu (even though I don't like rabbit- dark meat) but the waitress said it was delicious since it was deep fried and the katsu was amazing - light and crispy! The side cabbage slaw was great. Ah, and the buns (2 for £2) are really perfect:)

had an extremely disappointing visit recently. me and my partner used to love this place! the food is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. however, our server completely ignored my partner when trying to order. they took my order then walked off, completely disregarding my partner. i had to awkwardly call them back over to finish ordering. they then proceeded to not put my partners order in, leaving my partner without food. i had to ask where the dish went then they rudely responded "oh". we then had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for my partners food. we were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. wish we could have been compensated for our time as the staff offered no apology for this awful experience. its truly a shame as the food here is very tasty but i will not be returning after this.

Although the recommended "two buns per person" might seem quite small, I thought it turned out to be just the right amount. For our flesh dishes, my friend and I ordered the braised ox cheek, crispy piglet belly, and salmon teriyaki. Both of us thought the ox cheek was by far the best one. We ended with the signature s'mores dessert, which is a must-have at Flesh & Buns. You get to roast the marshmallows yourself using a miniature fire pit they bring to the table. For an extra kick, pay the toilets here a visit. You'll see why.

Having been to Bone Daddies Soho,  Bone Daddies Shackfuyu and now Bone Daddies Flesh n Buns twice,  what is clear to see is that the Bone Daddies group can produce unique and inspired combinations of food that are well presented and boast a variety of textures and flavours. The decorations throughout the restaurants are similarly themed and successful in creating a sense that you are dining somewhere esteemed and exotic.  However other consistent factors apparent in all these Bone Daddies creations is that the seating can be cramped,  the service abysmal,  the drinks diluted  with ice and the prices a bit higher than necessary. Here is the meal I had at this visit of Flesh n Buns: The Sweet Symphony mocktail drink was a beaker of ice interlaced with a few blueberries with minimal volume of sugary drink lining the bottom. The grilled sweet potato with spicy mayo starter was a pleasant surprise - sweet, spicy and tangy with a soft melt-in-the-mouth texture; an ingenious combination. The half young chicken was a sizeable portion of succulent chicken with a dash of pickle on the side. The buns remain a highlight of the meal; as an avid bun lover I can assure you that these buns are great - soft and delicate when warm as well as fragrant and a good size to handle and fill. (Better than the Yum Bun buns. ) As a side-note the toilets certainly leave an impression; they are plastered with indecent  manga cartoons of topless girls exhibiting and/or cradling their breasts - such are the most x-rated wall decorations  I've ever seen for sure!   In short,  Flesh n Buns is a place of highs,  lows and the somewhat bizarre;  worth a visit if you love buns and fancy an intriguing dining experience.

We love this restaurant every time we are in London. They have great saki, and all of the menu items are excellent.

Whilst it's not the most posh place I've been, it usually gets the job done well. Drinks are how you would find at most pubs, and service is decent too, given how a waitress came to ask us what we wanted and served us amidst a busy rugby game (at other times, we had gone to the bar to order ourselves). There are quite a few tv screens as well as a big home theatre-like one too, which always adds to your sports watching experience. I've never had food here before but would like to try sometime. I hear that their wings are good. Be sure to bring an ID -- as its part of a casino facility, they check your ID even if you're here only for the bar and not for gambling.

Oddly, to open a tab, you have to give them both your credit/debit card AND your driver's license/passport/ID card. They give you a "badge" which you then show every time you order, apparently so they know which tab to bill it to. A bit weird to me, but maybe that's the norm in London, or at least in high-tourist bars in London. Also, they won't let men inside if you are wearing a hat-- you must remove the hat to enter. Fortunately, once inside, I put my hat back on and didn't have a problem with anyone saying anything. Glad my hat hair didn't have to be on display!

We were respectful and nonpolitical, she assumed from our ethnic backgrounds and treated us accordingly. She verbatim said she will not serve our kind. Then proceeded to tell all her bar tenders to no longer serve us. Regrettably we had to get our drinks upstairs. She went out of her way to stare at us from the top, making my mother uncomfortable. If you want a pub without employees making every thing political, this is not the spot. We do not even entertain politics, she just put us in a basket. This is the first time in my life I had to exit the pub because of the brainwashed ultra lefty employee. I love all people and people on the left, it sucks that this extremist ruined the night after spending our hard earned money. Honestly the pours were weak, the lighting was poor, and the drinks were heavily overpriced. It's some fake Irish bar.

It was the second pub I visited on my visit to London, and again, I can't wait to go back. First, the prices: in America, two drinks would have cost at least $20; here, two drinks were only £11. I would've spent the whole night there if I could, but when you're traveling and have places to be early the next day, it's hard. Second, the service and ambiance were great. They serve the drinks very quickly, and of course, they know how to pour a pint of Guinness.
