Very accommodating staff, including early check upon arrival at 10 am. Very much appreciated. Most excellent buffet breakfast included in room rate. Items included buffet scrambled eggs and bacon, or eggs prepared your way to order. Outstanding coffee, artesian breads, salad, and fresh fruit and juice. Bar in the evening is pricey like most hotels. Rooms are simple and clean with small balcony or patio. European modern bathroom. Free Wi-Fi that works reliably until you hit a 100MB session limit. Can be frustrating. Front desk resolved...but why the hassle? About 16€ taxis ride to/from Apeldoorn Train station. 10 mins. Train ride to/from Schiphol Airport is 1:10 hours. Taxis driver indicated one of the better hotels in Apeldoorn. Dinner is two seatings. We chose for our dinner to walk instead to downtown, a good 1.5 miles. Notable Attraction: Next to Het Loo Palace, meaning "The Woods Palace", a state museum to be on your visit list.

I cannot stress but how nice and 'affordable' this place is... and I place 'affordable' in quotation marks because for a morning cup of coffee with a slice of apple pie, you will be pleasantly surprised. For (larger) groups the Boutique Hotel has meeting rooms and separate dining rooms. The opportunity to combine business with pleasure from being only 5 minutes away from the largest privately funded national parks in the Netherlands is a definite plus. And let's not forget the inimitable Kröller-Müller Museum with the largest collection of Van Goghs outside of Amsterdam. So do go here, enjoy a bit of luxury and style, in the Dutch way. Boutique Hotel Sterrenberg has it all, from just a cup of tea to cocktails to excellent dinners.

All the staff we interacted with were excellent. The whole place was extremely clean and we'll maintained. The room was very good. The beds very comfortable, window had screens so you could sleep with a window open. Breakfast was a buffet and all the food was really good and the capacinno was excellent. Dinner was a four course meal . The food and presentation was good, and staff were wonderful. The evening cruise along the canals was great. The owner narrated the tour in Dutch and translated to English as well. He was very knowledgeable and we learned alot about the history. We had a great time and will go back.

The staff…read morewere really friendly, and not only was the wifi free but so was the breakfast (and a free breakfast is always good in my books). Sure, it is basically one of those chain hotels, the ones that I generally don't like staying at, but it was cheap, near the railway station (though I did take the wrong turn initially), and the beds comfy. Okay, they didn't have a bath for my brother, but he was able to deal with it for one night. As I have mentioned though, the staff were really friendly, and spoke multiple languages as well (but then I'm always one to compare which languages that we speak now that I know more than one).

I recommend the tasting menu with wine pairing. We will stay here again next year. The location is easy enough to take the train to Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Not only was the service impeccable but my wife's gluten allergy was recognised properly and some dishes altered appropriately with no fuss or bother. Trendy-Hip-stylish hotel in Nijmegen. Stairs, no elevator that I was made aware of…read more Parking on street or I believe there is a parking structure nearby. Nijmegen is a very busy city. Breakfast is included- and is elegant and rich- hard boiled eggs, meat/cheese tray, bowl of breads, and coffee/juice. Would prefer to have been given choices only not to waste such great food. I find after traveling for many days I sometimes want something plain for breakfast such as oatmeal, plain scrambled eggs or simple bowl of fruit. Room was large- 2 full size closets plenty of hangers, shelf space, robe provided. Fireplace which warmed things quickly. Nice Neopresso machine in room with glasses and beautiful selection of coffees- too bad there were no directions on how to use it- so I didn;t. Big cozy towels, comfortable beds. Plenty of outlets for charging all those electronics we travel with. Bathroom is modern- big tub in room- shower/toilet glass-sexy for traveling with your companion- not so much for family travels. Staff was extremely helpful- carrying bags-checking in, finding parking and in general very attentive to those staying at the Hotel. There is an excellent restaurant on site that is packed every night so be sure to let staff know if you want to eat there. Music from the restaurant does vibrate upper sleeping rooms- so that may be something to consider when booking. Unfortunately I did not have time to see if the location was walkable to shopping, other restaurants or area attractions. Nijmegen seems to have a vibrant city with a lot happening- the restaurant was packed both nights i stayed there. This is definitely a property to stay at when visiting this part of the Netherlands- Thanks to an excellent staff!!
