I rarely have much good to say about estate agents as I see them in the main as either dodgy, slimy or akin to second hand car salesmen. There is a but though...... My neighbour downstairs moved to Australia and was having problems letting his property here in Chiswick. He somehow managed to rope me into find another agent as the other company (green logo) was useless. Not having any real experience of letting I asked around and looked for any testimonials I could find online and the name Fletchers came up. I phoned then and can only speak highly of these guy's. James looked after the letting side and another couple of people came around to inspect and take pictures etc. They were professional, always came when they said they were coming, were flexible to suit my needs and informed me exactly of what needed to happen to get the place rented asap. After minor refurbishment works, James organised some letting and before long it was let out for 12 months at about the money that we required. Well done to Fletchers, keep up the good work. I rented a property through Fletcher Estates once, and found the whole experience to be very average. They were quick to take my deposit, but much less enthusiastic about rectifying any issues, and instead always referring me to the "owner". Whenever I phoned, the staff had a nasty habit of screening calls for each other by always saying the person I wanted to speak to was "out" and asking instead to take a message - although they always magically appeared within seconds upon finding out I was phoning about a payment or something else they wanted from me. Before the lease ended, I was sent a letter informing me of a rent increase of £20/week in order to stay in the property. I queried this with the owner, and he denied asking for any increase. Maybe he was lying, maybe Fletchers wouldn't have told him and would have just kept the difference. I declined to renew, and when the lease was over they charged me for a check-out report (this had been agreed when the tenancy commenced), but they were sneaky by not specifying any price for the service. I suspect they made up a figure much higher than what it actually cost them. Whilst there's nothing I can single out that was very wrong with Fletchers, I wouldn't use them again to lease or sell a property, nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

Having been looking for a property in Chiswick for over four weeks I had really started to loose faith in what the market and the agencies had to offer. However, dealing with Fletchers dispelled this thought process almost instantly. I was warmly greeted by the lady sat at the front desk and informed I would be dealt with in a couple of minutes. My first thought was that this would most definitely not be the case. I was wrong! A consultant sat down with me within a couple of minutes and after five minutes of talking with them I learnt more about the local market place than I had done with spending an hour with multiple other agencies. I was instantly impressed with what was available within my budget and was being shown round relevant properties within fifteen minutes of walking through the door. Unfortunately they were not quite right but the second round of viewings were exactly what I had briefed them on. So much so that I had two properties to offer on in a very short space of time. The after sales service is both proactive and caring. I did not at any point feel like I was a number but part of a professional organisation that was doing a fantastic job. This is where I felt Fletchers really had the competitive edge. All in all the service I received was efficient, professional and personable. I do not have any hesitation when recommending Fletchers to any of my friends or colleagues. read more
