We decided to go there, looking for something to do, and it popped up on TripAdvisor. A farm is not truly my thing, but this ended up being fun. The good: Host is passionate, caring about his animals, entertaining, includes everyone in the presentation, and is happy to answer questions. Good educational aspect. Presentations can be bilingual. Very cute shop. Very cute animals. You can even pet them (except their heads). High quality products. Can order by the web. The bad: No seating places outside during presentation (even benches would have been nice). Farm stench. Products prices are high if you are not prepared for it (but quality makes up for it, trust me). Covid restrictions: Signs and pump available for hands. No real social distancing in second part of farm. Nor the shop (being so small). I bought a pair of socks and there are truly a great quality. The visit was a great unexpected highlight in our day. Will definitely go back (probably for more socks, lol).

She was correct…read more René, the awesome Alpaca farmer, gave us a highly informative, funny and engaging tour of his farm and his animals. It was quite apparent that he loves these animals as if they were his own children and as he interacts with him and his daughter, they demonstrate complete trust and love. The Alpacas are fun to watch and if you are quiet and calm, they will let you pet them. Just don't pet their heads-they don't like that. The clothing shop is full of gorgeous Alapaca wool skeins of yarn, knitted hats, mittens, fingerless gloves, scarves, socks (several different types and many patterns), sweaters, ponchos, slippers, insoles, and even a variety of different sized stuffed animals that are covered in the soft and fine wool. The prices are quite reasonable and the items are of highest quality and value. I bought ski socks and a hat; as I am highly sensitive to lanolin, I cannot otherwise wear wool. I can, however, wear Alpaca wool and look forward to the cold winter so I can do so! Expect to spend 1.5-2 hours here, learning about the farm, meeting the Alpacas, and then shopping. It's well worth it.

I had been having problem with my cell phone for the last two weeks. When someone called me, I…read moreheard the ringtone, but could hardly hear the person speaking on the phone. So, I went to the Virgin Mobile outlet located at the Carrefour de l'Estrie in Sherbrooke. One of the persons was talking to his girlfriend and the other was playing on his cell phone. I was answered and I explained to the gentleman that I couldn't hear anyone when I talk on my cell phone. So, I ask him what could be the problem. I'm not the guy who is most at ease with modern technology, so it is possible that I had screwed up the setting on my phone and unable to set it back to the way it was. He didn't attempt to take my phone and see was the problem might be. Instead, I suggested that I change my phone and get a new package. I have this phone for the past four years and other than this episode, it was working fine. My monthly fees are low and would hate to switch and end up with higher fees. So, I told him that I would try to ask for a second advice and tried to obtain information about the location of a business which could fix or diagnose my phone. He vaguely answered there was some business throughout Sherbrooke and left it at that. I walk about 50 feet to another cell phone supply booth and ask if they fix cell phone. They told me yes depending on what the problem is. The technician looked at it and checked if he had the part in stock. Once that was identified, he changed my speaker and within 15 minutes, my phone was repaired. It is obvious the people working at the Virgin Mobile outlet are more preoccupied with putting money in their pocket from the commission on the sale of new phone and package rather than trying to help and care for the customers. Very unfortunate. This type of attitude will turn costumers to other phone companies and they will end up without a job. Very short sighted. I also filed a complaint with Virgin Mobile and hope they will follow through. Service companies have to realise that now a day most people are on mobile, but not everyone can see their charges increase by large amount. In my situation, a change of package and a new phone would have been a cost increase of about $20/month and a drop of DATA.
