After driving 2 hours for a class and waiting 1 hr for anyone to show up, I was told the class had been cancelled. I was registered for the am class only?! To make a frustrating situation even worse, I was then ridiculed by Letty, the receptionist, and Justin, her supervisor, for not having confirmed my class time which was unclear to me. Unfortunately, I have used FlexEd for over 35 yrs. and have gradually been witness to the business decline. Love that it's very close to my home .Room is set up well for learning .I recommend using flex ed for Ceu class courses .

I just took my provider acls course ( first time certification). I took part in the small group class. I have to give this class 5 stars only because of instructor Vince S. I came into this class anxious and sincerely considered not going to the class because I felt I would fail. Even though I did read the manual( book) and watched as many videos and prepared as best as I could. However, Vince S. really took my knowledge to a whole different level. I finally understand how to read ekgs, how to follow the algorithm, and he provided great feedback on skills. I left this class feeling I have a better a completely better understanding of ACLS. I can't wait to take another course with him. He truly knows what he's talking about and is extremely down to earth. If you can request him as an instructor. I hope I can do my PALS with him and keep working at becoming a stronger skilled RN. Definitely going to ask for him for any class I need. Do not be late. Bring your book ( you can buy it day of class incase you don't have ) Print the precourse assignment. read more

Great place to take BLS/ACLS courses that are offered at mutiple locations (primarily at hospitals). I have taken ACLS through Flex-Ed twice and BLS for the third time today with Vic, an AMAZING INSTRUCTOR. Vic is very knowledgeable and has a very effective teaching style. I highly recommend Flex-Ed and especially instructor Vic. read more

I just started a 4 day class yesterday but from that 1 day, I have a good indication that this place is great for your continuing education needs. Flex Ed has a beautiful lobby, comfortable, quiet classrooms (not too hot-not too cold) and clear and easy arrival procedures. Signs are posted showing you exactly where to go and what to do. I signed up for the class on-line in November 2014 so I could get in before it was full. I was one of the first people to arrive yesterday and Elva was quick and friendly with checking me in and pointing me in the right direction. I had a Day 1 class with Ken Burnett and he was knowledgeable and well organized on the class material, following a hand-out as well as the book. I learned a great deal right from the beginning. He started promptly and moved through the material at a good pace. He allotted time for questions and individual help and came around personally to anyone who had questions on the material. There was a mid-morning break and a hour for lunch. The restrooms were clean and easily accessible. The whole day was perfect and I had a great time. I am looking forward to my remaining classes and possibly more in the future. Everyone I spoke to working at the facility was helpful and friendly. As long as you are on time and prepared for learning, Flex Ed makes it easy for you to have a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Taken ACLS and PALS renewals here for years, always good, enthusiastic instructors

Took the Labor and Delivery Fundamentals class here with Norma Y'Deen as instructor. This is such an exceptional class to take if you're new to the unit, the printed PowerPoints and book used is very informative. This class has a lot of material to cover, but I stayed engaged throughout the expert lectures given by Norma. She's a natural teacher with decades of experience in Labor and Delivery and appreciated every personal story she shared so we can learn from. The hands on simulations and tools were very useful. The facility is clean looks very new and kept in good order. Conveniences: there is a microwave to reheat any food you bring, a pot of fresh coffee every morning and a vending machine filled with snacks. I was always warmly greeted by staff and would recommend other healthcare professionals to take classes here. read more

You spend 8 hours taking a test ( and $500) and they will not let you review the questions you got wrong... how is that helpful ??

Depending on the hospital you work for, the education modules (CEUs) will be offered at discount or free. At my hospital, they were free. Recently, I did three gargantuan take-home modules (totaling 25 CEUs) and worked on them for a whole weekend. I then received an email saying the modules were outdated and had been pulled two years ago (I received them no longer than 4-6 months ago from the FRONT RECEPTIONIST after giving her the list from their current module list on the back of their catalog!!!) I can't say I was surprised, these particular modules, more than the other modules, had been riddled with incomplete information, contradictory information, and poorly written, in general. Needless to say, they did not honor the modules, nor appreciate the fact that it was THEIR error that wasted all my time and effort. I did take a Critical Care Course taught by a co-worker of mine whom was phenomenal and a wealth of knowledge. For that alone, I gave it some stars--but the disorganization and lack of consideration was more than I could take with the 25 CEUs I wasted time on and didn't get. Better to spend your time doing the online ones--at least then you know they have to honor them. There are also a bunch of free ones online if you look. read more

As nurse, we constantly have to be updating our credentials. As travel nurses, it's often difficult to find places to do so. We absolutely love Flex-Ed! We can do the majority of our classes online and then just hop in for the skills check off portions. The staff and instructors are always super nice and helpful. We are so glad they exist to make our lives just a little bit easier! read more

Finished my day 4 of class today for Dysrhythmia Interp. & Therapeutic Modalities and I now have a better understanding of the information. Rodney and Don made the class material easier to understand and broke it down providing real world examples and experiential knowledge. Flex Ed has a nice location with quiet classrooms and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend for your continuing education needs. read more

Been coming here for 20 years, just completed ACLS renewal as always the class was great. The classes are offered at lots of locations, and the staff is always friendly. I take a lot of classes here, I have never been disappointed or not passed. Cards are given the day you pass the classes. They work with you no matter how nervous you are. read more

Went to get information about some classes and the staff were very friendly and patient. I have friends that have taken classes from flex Ed and they were happy also. The office was very nice and right off the freeway which made it easy to find. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT go here if you can avoid it. I have taken BLS,ACLS, and PALS several times already. The instructor here went over absolutely almost NOTHING that was on the test. After the test I was one question over the passing mark. At ALL other places I've ever went to they will give you a chance to review a question or two and pass you as long as you understand why you were incorrect. The instructor today would not let me. Told me that I have to take the class again and pay for it again. He was rude about it as well. DO NOT take your chances of this happening to you ... take your money and business elsewhere ... read more

I'm very disappointed. :( I was pre-registered for a CPR renewal class. I got to the site (San Dimas Hospital) @ 0910. Walked up to the front lobby and asked where the conference room was, and informed the front desk that I had a CPR renewal class... as I waited for her to answer a few calls, (since she was the only one at the desk), time was of course passing by. She finally called. And I was informed that the class is already full and I won't be accepted into the class. I was shocked. I told her I'm pre-registered... and I'm only 10 minutes late... (or was, noting the time was 0917 by the time she called the conference room). I explained that I cannot control what happened on the freeway on the way here, and questioned "How can the class be full if I'm pre-registered....??????!!!!! " I've been with FlexEd for years and if it's going to come down to this.... No guarantee that even if I'm pre-registered, that I could waste an entire day and come to a class sight and be turned away when technology I made it here within the time frame... Then it's not worth the risk of attending these classes if they're going to do this. I'm pre-registered.... I'm not walking in trying to take the course. So just an FYI.... Be EARLY or risk being turned away. :/ I'm going to RCP Advanced Life Support and take their Renewal course online and all I have to do is physically go and show them I know CPR to get my card renewed....Totally convenient for Nurses like me with tight schedules. (Their classes are given by actual paramedics... The prices are reasonable and their schedules are accommodating.) I'd rather pay a bit then take a Free class @ FlexEd, and run the risk of wasting my time! read more

This review is for Ms. Guadalupe Rodriguez, RN for the BLS course and Dr. Augusto Teodoro for the ACLS course. The instructors were very knowledgeable and thorough and had plenty of clinical background that I was able to learn from which you cannot get though say an online course. I just wish there were more courses offered on the weekends.. read more

I agree with the other reviews that some of their classes are excellent so this review is only for their CEN Review class. I would recommend avoiding this class at all costs. It was a waste of money. After taking several classes with Flex-Ed I have to say this was the worst class of them all. It's ridiculous that their Dysrhythmia class if 4 weeks long and they tried to shove an entire CEN review into 2 days. 1) The instructor, although very knowledgeable, speaks so fast that by the time you can highlight any pertinent info he's already 4 slides ahead. 2) The review is 1100+ slides. The class is 8 hours long. That's less than a minute per slide. So if you don't understand it there's no room to ask questions. This class was a complete waste of money. They should have put more thought into this class and the format. Even with years of experience as an ER nurse and countless hours of studying prior to this class, it was completely overwhelming.
