We hired Ms. Sandra 5 years ago when we moved into our new home that has a pool. We had a 5 year old and a 2 month old at the time. My older daughter had never swam before. She was afraid to put her head under water. Within the first lesson or two, my daughter had her head under water. By the time summer ended, she was swimming. Fast forward to now, my youngest daughter (now 5 years old) just had her last lesson today. She was comfortable with the water but didn't know how to swim so she'd wear her life vest. She hasn't worn her life vest since she started her lessons per Ms. Sandra's request and now she's full on swimming!! She had a total of 6 lessons, that's it!! Sandra was very kind with her instructions and guiding my daughter and nephew. They split the hour class which made the one on one cost reasonable. My daughter had a moment where she was teary eyed and didn't want to keep going after a breathing underwater exercise that was new for her. After I comforted my daughter Sandra went a step above and asked to speak with her. She took off my daughter's goggles and her own sunglasses and asked what my daughter was feeling. I had the pleasure of doing physical training with Sandra and I have to say that my first 5 days a week of training with her helped me whip my body into shape so fast! She will listen to what parts of your body you want to tone and she will cater your works out to sculpt that area. She understood that it's an emotional roller coaster and what made it easy to work with her is that she understands how hard the road to fitness can be. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking to get started! When I started she saw what my needs were and she noticed that I didn't have good body positioning yet so she taught me the basics of how to move my body so that the work out would be most effective. I was the girl who did planks with her butt in the air ‍ and I couldn't last more than 10 seconds without shaking uncontrollably. But now I can while a perfect plank for a three times as much which in planks is quite an accomplishment. That's just one of the many things she helped me with and there are so many instructors and trainers that will teach you but won't put love into what they do. I'm sorry but anyone can teach but not every will genuinely cares about the results of their teachings. Or has the power of God in them to motivate others to be great. Also, I love that she is super proud of the accomplishments of her trainees, it's so uplifting to know someone is right there rooting for you to make it to the finish line! I took swimming lessons from Sandra last summer and I really enjoyed myself. She did well with observing skills I already had, gave me feedback on those skills, and gave me exercises so I can learn new things. I also appreciated that she wasn't hovering over me throughout the lesson. She was watching me but still gave me the freedom and confidence I needed to do the exercises.
