Their compensation from Prepory is inadequate, leading to a lack of genuine investment in your child's progress. We faced numerous last-minute cancellations of counseling sessions without explanation, and updates were infrequent, often attributed to software issues. My attempts to address these concerns with the owner, Tony M., resulted in empty promises and no tangible improvements. This service not only wastes your financial resources but also your child's invaluable time during a critical developmental period. I strongly advise exploring local college prep services where you can engage with dedicated professionals who prioritize your child's success. What you're wrong to do is assume that my non reply is from apathy. August is far and away our busiest month, and we're all just trying our best to get by. If you're still interested in my feedback, I would like to share it. If not, I wish you well and hope that your next consultant gets the benefits of your doubts. Your first and last name are a part of xxx future application, and admissions officers read digitally and will Google student and parent names. That…read moresaid, my experience with International College Counselors (ICC) was superb, and I'll explain why in this review. As a high school senior last year, I was worried about compiling all of the components to make "the perfect college application" for the holistic review process that many higher education institutions now use. That's when I decided to look for assistance, which many of my peers refused to do, ultimately leading them to receive a number of declines from low-acceptance-rate schools simply because their application wasn't critiqued enough. After making initial contact with ICC, I connected and began working with Andy. He was caring, persistent, creative, and never made me feel stressed. The only item of dispute I ever had with him was that he is a New York Yankee fan, whereas I am a Boston Red Sox fan. MLB criticism aside, the best part about working with Andy was that he helped showcase me. Showcasing what I already had to offer was essential, something that I was not fully capable of doing before the college application process because I wrote too humbly about myself. He helped me showcase myself without sounding arrogant or shy, which is precisely what I needed! However, I will say that College Counselors at ICC are not there to write your essays or do tasks for you. Instead, they encourage you to make your application authentic. I was initially concerned that my application would not be my own with a College Counselor, but that was not the case with Andy at ICC. As for actual admissions to schools, Andy encouraged me to apply (yes, I almost didn't) to Georgetown University. How right he was because, thus far, it has been such an excellent fit for me! Andy helped me know what schools were a good fit for me and where I was also a good fit for the school. It's a two-way equation. Georgetown was just one of the seven schools Andy helped me get admitted to, and if I had to do it again (not that I would), I wouldn't hesitate to call Andy. I know many students and friends who have used their services and can honestly say they are extremely satisfied with their service. In particular, Kerri is not just knowledgeable and super caring but also very confident and positive while working with the student.
