I first used this travel agency in 2009 for a trip to Europe and have used it several times since. In 2012 it won state office of the year. The service is efficient, the staff friendly, the office is comfortable and minimalist. I have had a working relationship with several staff members and would be happy to recommend any of those working there. Communication and researching for optimum flight requirements has been all I would ask for and expect from an award winning Travel Agency.

She recommended airlines, hotels/hostels and the best places to visit while overseas. Since my initial booking, she has kept me up to date with any changes, and consistently sends through things I might be interested in including her own personal travel stories and photos. She even comforted me as I nervously bought my first ticket overseas! What a woman and what a travel agency. If you are looking for a cheap getaway to any part of the world, these guys will have you covered. I couldn't recommend them any more.

This is the first visit to Melbourne for my husband and me, and we thought it'd be a good idea to…read moreget moving and get an orientation of the city after being on a plane for sixteen hours (we were delayed an hour departing from LAX). Our plane landed at Tullamarine a touch late at 7:20am and we joined the 10am tour from Fed Square. Our excellent guide, Geoff, was waiting for us clearly marked in the designated meeting place right on time (probably early as we'd just barely made it on time). We were delighted to learn that it was just us, but requested no customization as the overview was for what we were looking. We thought it was a great way to see the city and to learn a bit about the history of area in which we're staying. Geoff did a great job explaining to us the plan so we knew what to expect each time we got going again and keeping us safe (he kept saying that Melbourne not quite there yet in bike friendliness, but we found none of it as terrifying as riding in Los Angeles!). We thought it was well-planned and just enough information to be informative but not overwhelming. He sent us on our way with a Melbourne map with all of our stops marked on it for reference to make it easier to return to points of interest. The weather cooperated (didn't rain on us as was forecasted), and it was a lovely start to our honeymoon. I'd highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Geoff, for sharing your beautiful city with us :)

This tour is a cut above others in Melbourne!!! We booked through them because they limit group…read moresizes (that is important to us when riding bikes in a busy metropolitan area like Melbourne). Our wonderful experience began even before the tour when we called to ask for help with directions. Michelle gladly took down the address of where we were staying and then send us personalized directions so we wouldn't get lost on the way. She even explain how to use the public transit system. Once on the tour, our guide Trine did an amazing job of showing us the city and personalizing the experience for our interests. Beyond biking, we had a delicious lunch and walked on foot through a few places we wanted to see. Trine even took pictures of us along the way and emailed them to us that evening along with a list of restaurant and bar recommendations from the tour. I did see some of the other bike tours in the city while we were going along, and I can honestly say they didn't look like they were having as much fun as we were. While this company is slightly more expensive than others, it's totally worth it. Do yourself a favor and book here.

We first dropped in on a recommendation from a friend, and spoke to Steph, who was fantastic. She organized our trip away, sorting everything we needed, making it a really easy Honeymoon. Which, really, is what you want. From insurance, to passes and plane tickets, she made it happen really quickly and smoothly. We went back when we booked our European trip, and again, our trip was organized and planned perfectly. Steph even sorted our railway passes to use throughout Europe, and although we booked our own accommodation, she again sorted itinerary and flights, saving us heaps of time trawling through websites trying to get the best deal. I'd always thought planning your own trip wouldn't be hard, and that travel agents weren't necessary until I had one working for me. They know how to cut the corners and find the best deals, making your holiday planning less stressful.

Booked this day trip through a U.S. based travel agency. The tour picks you up from conveniently…read morelocated points throughout Melbourne. We were able to walk to our pick up point in a few minutes from our hotel. They will drop you off back in Melbourne too at one of the designated stops. Over half of our tour group were people who lived in Melbourne. The Yarra Valley is very close to Melbourne, maybe about an hours drive. You get to sample 4 wineries: Punt Road, Balgownie Estate, Yering Farm, and Chandon. All of the wineries have their own distinct flavors so you'll taste the rainbow of reds, whites, and dessert varietals. You'll stop by for lunch at Balgownie estate and will be able to preselect your meal choice on the bus. I ordered the curried salmon which was very tasty. Of course wine comes with lunch. I'm not sure if Australian Wine Tour is able to secure special pricing for your wine purchases at all of the wineries however, I do know you will get special discounted pricing though the tour at Balgownie Estate. I believe it was 10% off the retail price and 15% if you purchase more than 12 bottles. A very good deal indeed. We purchased a few bottles of the 2014 sparkling shiraz which is quite unusual to see in the States. Very crisp flavor and not dry at all like a brut. Punt Road and Yering Farm were smaller wineries. The apple cider proved to be a hit with our tour group at Yering Farm. I would have loved to bring some of that home but unfortunately that would have weighed me a ton + some hefty baggage fees to get it back home. I can see how that cider can be so addicting. Also got a few bottles of the Yering 2006 cabernet. Chandon is the last stop. I found Chandon to be rather commercialized. Large crowds in their tasting room (it's a tasting building, actually) and industrial scale production. Of course they're one of the big players in the wine business. Unfortunately, you only get to sample 1 flute of sparkling wine there from their many varietals. But, the good thing is if you haven't bonded with your tour mates by now, all of that drinking will certainly have everyone in a festive move. Take a swig from your flute and pass the samplings around. You're all friends now. If you're not big on swapping spit with your tour mates, the tasting area also offers several sparkling wines for tasting at just $5. Highly recommend this tour if you want to venture out to the Yarra valley.
