THe tell you want eye drops they are putting in and why. Dr. Vrabek is professional and really good at what he does. After having this catarac syrgery done I feel like a fifth grader that can see again when I got my first glasses. It is so cool to not have to reach for my glasses in the morning. I honestly wouldn't recommend Modern Eyes to anyone after what happened. I asked them before…read morebooking if they took United Healthcare, gave them my plan info and everything, and they said yes. They looked it up and confirmed it. So I booked the appointment and went in, thinking everything was fine. Six months later, I get a $145 bill because apparently they don't take United Healthcare Vision... just the medical side. That was never explained to me, and they still took my insurance info and scheduled me like it was all covered. When I called to talk about it, the person on the phone literally said it's not their responsibility to know what people's plans cover. That just blew my mind. They took zero accountability and made it seem like it was all on me, even though I did everything I could to check in advance. It just feels really dishonest, and I'm super frustrated that I had to pay for something I was told was covered. Definitely not going back.
