We currently on a road trip from Sydney to Sunshine coast. It was my turn to drive so while doing so I tasked Corey to look for a place to stay for the night... As per usual he got picky but good taste. Never mind we agreed we only stopping over for the night so a simple b&b will do. As per Corey none of them where up to his standards and the only one that he liked was Bonville Golf Resort. I was okay let's book it and rest for the night. When we arrived at 8:30pm we where lucky to sneak into there restaurant for last orders. When given the menu I chuckled as the penny dropped. Corey chose this place because of the food, a 1 hatted restaurant with a mouth watering menu. This is the start of a very very expensive holiday... Oh well it's Christmas and we both deserve a nice relaxing holiday.
Back to my review of the actual restaurant apologies for the blabla above.
We started of with the oysters and scallops as starters. Both where blown away by the flavour.
As main we both had the eye fillet with bone marrow. Yummy!!! Though Corey passed on the bone marrow lucky me I got double yumminess.
Although we where already stuffed we could not escape the dessert menu. We followed with a blueberry mascarpone type cheese cake and a raspberry white chocolate pannecota with dark chocolate crumb. Yum yum. Corey got his sweet American like cheese cake which he loved and I had a fresh well balanced desert that was way more suited to my unsweetened tooth. Overal thumbs up. The girls that where waitressing where very friendly and easy going. Overal very nice experience. Would come again. read more
