We have plenty of experience with contractors, including major projects that required us to move out for 2 months. This isn't our first rodeo. This was an exceptionally bad experience. The worst. 1. Installer disappeared for 2 months, delaying the process until another installer could be found. 2. No one could tell us what to expect from the installation, despite two site visits from an installer. 3. No one could tell us how long the installation would take 4. Took months to acquire material necessary for installation 5. During a site visit, we were told we had to move large appliances from the kitchen, only to be told we didn't need to do that. We didn't have access to our kitchen for 12 days, unnecessarily. 6. Covered our condo in epoxy dust and took no steps to contain it. 7. Installer didn't wear a mask when sanding epoxy, a violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 8. Unresponsive by email 9. Difficulty scheduling 10. Passive aggressive staff 11. Lots of gaslighting 12. Overpriced Truly an awful experience.

If you don't find what you want at this place, there are a few other carpet stores with low prices in the neighbourhood within a few blocks on Danforth near Victoria Park. Definitely the area for carpet shopping. None of these small businesses have a website, so you have to go there to see what they have.

The lovely lady in Brothers' Carpet greeted me and asked me what I was looking for and very quickly offered to cut me a nice quality carpet size that I wanted, for a very reasonable price. I was told that it would take two days, and that was fine, but she called within a couple of hours to say that it was ready for pickup. That's customer service! Also I did not have to pay in full up front, she took a deposit of my choosing. Great experience.
