I recently bought a home in Cove. On referral I used will Parker the "preacher". He gave me a quote…read moreof 3200 and would be done max six days. My house was going to be a little more difficult as he was painting over odd colors in each room. He said no problem. He is a professional. Showed up three days in and will is nowhere to be found. He has one guy who was admittedly not a painter doing the work. I contact him on day five Asking if things will be done since on say seven all my belongings would be arriving. I was advised he just had surgery and wasn't able to work. He said even if he has to work all night the next day it I'll be done. Next day still not done so he sends us to a hotel said he would work all night. Came back to the house an hour later and he was gone. Finally day eight he came in saying all that needed done was putting all covers back on. I was shocked. Told him there was work to be done. None of the doors had been painted. Baseboards not done. Just a single layer of paint on the main walls. He started crying and asked my husband to buy his way out for someone to hang blinds paint doors etc... thankfully MVP came in and did it for 600. What we didn't realize is that mr Parker failed to prime the walls which is absolutely needed when painting over these colors. He only put one coat on the walls and anywhere the wall is textured the old color is showing through. I will be taking mr Parker to court as he has basically told me to pound sand.

Do not use this painter. We had decided to go with Fresh Touch Painting and Drywall (Will Parker,…read moreowner) based on a recommendation, and that we were wanting our house painted much more quickly then we could have accomplished ourselves. Will Parker came out for the quote and he was nice and very informative. He gave us our quote which included time and money. The quote on time was 3-4 days. It actually took him 7 days to paint our house instead, which was due to him spending a lot of time answering phone calls when he was supposed to be painting. He showed up late every single day. He said he'd show up at 9am, and the earliest he showed up was 9:30. In the beginning, he was using drop clothes when they were painting, but by days 4-7, he decided he wasn't going to do that anymore which resulted in drops of paint everywhere(cabinets, floor, door handles, counter tops). He asked us to mark off with blue painter's tape areas that might need to be touched up, and when we pointed them out, he started sighing under his breath every time he went over one of those spots. We had to pull off covers for switches and vent covers because he was painting around them (instead of taking the time to remove them) and leaving huge gaps of the original color showing. On what he thought was the final day (day 6), he said he was finished and asked for payment (he never even offered to do a final walkthrough). I then had to point to him that he never did a second coat in the master bedroom, even though we discussed it two times previously. On top of that, he blamed me for not putting any painters tape up. There was plenty of the previous paint behind what he painted. There was another section which is difficult to paint due to spacing and when I pointed out to him there was some touch up needed, he flat out said "It's ok. People won't look there." On the final day he was just putting thick globs of paint on the walls and we had to ask him to smooth it out so there were not drip marks. We have had to scrub paint of all the surfaces and we are still doing touch ups from areas he did not complete.
