The man I spoke with on the phone asked what kind of flowers I would like to send my mother-in-law…read morefor her birthday. He suggested stargazer lilies. I said yes, those and green hydrangeas and roses. He repeated it back to me and I said yes. I got a picture of the flowers from my MIL and they used ORANGE gerbera daisies instead of the stargazer lilies. When I called him and said that there weren't any stargazers like he had discussed, he first said I don't remember anything about lilies. Then when I pressed it and repeated back the conversation we had about them, he then said well it wasn't done maliciously. I told him I think this is bad business. He repeated himself that it wasn't done maliciously and he could exchange the flowers my MIL had already received with lilies. Surprised that there was no apology given and that he wouldn't automatically compensate me for their mistake, given that my MIL's bday was yesterday, I told him never mind. I spent $77 on an arrangement of flowers that looks like the $25 bouquet at the local grocery store. A small glass vase doesn't cost over $45. And I live in another state, otherwise I would have bought grocery store flowers for my MIL.
