I showed up 40 minutes before closing. When I tried opening the door the girl working inside was just staring at me and laughing to herself and didn't bother to get up. I had to ask through the glass if it was closed and she just nodded yes while she laid on the couch. The lights were on and the store hours said it was open. Just rude read more

I placed this order on a Sunday to be delivered the next day (Monday). I called the store at around 10 AM wondering what time the arrangement was going to be delivered since the recipient has a long break during the work day. After I call and ask for a time frame I was put on hold and when someone came back on the line they said I had to pay and extra $10 delivery fee (I had already paid for $20 online). I said fine since it's my moms birthday and I live in Austin but you would think that if the website says $20 to deliver to Mission, they wouldn't add another $10 or they would have a map of which zones of Mission/McAllen are $20 or $30. After I saw a picture of the arrangement my mother had received, I was in disbelief. The roses on the front part of the arrangement look like they are days old and the petals seem to be hanging on by a tiny limb. There is no way that those roses look aesthetically pleasing. I wanted to love this place so much because of the awesome pictures I see on social media all the time but this is just unfortunate. read more

The arrangement I ordered look like it was bought at a gas station, shoved in the trashed, and then rearranged and delivered. Disappointed most by the fact that this company did not have the decency to own their mistake and make it right. Do not order from here. second visit here, seated fairly quick, but no server for at least 15 minutes, not even for drinks, could see servers walking around, but not really doing any thing. last time ordered steak and eggs too much fat for such a small portion, this time tried pork chop and eggs, not happy with under cooked pork. poor service for such a popular place food is ok at best. read more

Mariana is an absolute gem and her team is incredible! She provided her floral and day of coordinating services for my wedding on November 2, 2019. My day was absolute perfection. We were able to get ahead of schedule and have a blast. For weeks I was getting compliments on the floral arrangements (hint: take some extra business cards to hand out to guests whenever they ask). My husband and I were so proud of all Mariana did for us. Fast forward two weeks later, my beautiful mother passed away November 19, 2019. That day I went to Mariana to ask about prices and availability. I was a wreck but she was able to calmly explain everything to me. She did me the favor of letting me grieve first and come to her when I was ready. My moms arrangements were absolutely gorgeous. It pains me to know she couldn't see or smell Mariana's work. But I know she would've loved it. Again, we got compliments and even the funeral director complimented and said she now understood why I wanted someone else's flowers instead of hers. I will forever hold Mariana and her team close to my heart and they have a lifetime customer in me. If you're on the fence about contracting them for any services, take the plunge. They have a variety of things to choose from: candles, body oil, soaps, lavender bunches, lotions, shirts, succulents, etc. They have several different candle companies for sale, not just one brand. I believe all are local Texas companies and/or handmade soy candles. You'll find items for both men and women. They have many vases to choose from. Different styles, colors, and sizes. You pick your vase then you walk into the back room that is filled with flowers and choose the flowers you want then they will make the arrangement for you and it is perfection!! They're so friendly and helpful. My mom loved the bouquet and I appreciate them so much for making it look so perfect. It made it more meaningful knowing I picked the flowers myself instead of walking around and choosing pre-made bouquets. I also bought some succulents for a coffee pot I have at home. My total was a little over $50 for the vase, flowers, 3 succulents and I added a "cake topper" to the bouquet that they added in and I loved it!! read more

Southern Roots Flower Market: They screwed me & my son's homecoming mum order back in September, then refused to own up to their employee's blunder/miscommunication about prepayment, & stubbornly doubled down & blamed me instead. I will ALWAYS disrespect the way they chose to handle that matter & will make my opinion known to others regarding their establishment & their refusal to take responsibility for their employee's miscues. If I'd been told I needed to pay upfront I would've done so. Who wouldn't? I shared my experience on Facebook & they issued a half-assed "apology" which basically STILL blamed me instead of taking responsibility for their employee's mishandling of the situation. I was given a choice to pay then or at pick-up; if I'd been told I had to prepay to guarantee the order, I certainly would've whipped out my card & done so. No brainer. They then removed the post from their timeline to cover up their screwup. Not surprisingly, after reading other reviews on their website, there is NO response to the dissatisfied customers, only to positive comments. Further proof of the owner's refusal to take responsibility or admit there was any fault on their part. read more

When I called I was greeted with an abrupt "Hold please". After waiting about 5 minutes, the young lady came back on and I asked, "Why was I placed on hold so long?" Her response was to ignore my question and asked "how can I help you" How easy it would have been to say when she answered the phone, "I'm so sorry you had to be on hold so long, now, how can I help you." I had such high hopes for this business and was excited to support them given the COVID-19 impact on small businesses. I had been communicating via social media on an arrangement for my mom's birthday. I am 6 hours away so I was unable to physically go into the location but I trusted they would deliver a beautiful arrangement like they display on their Instagram. I am sad to say my experience with this business was NOT the best and I would NOT recommend these services to upcoming brides. My fiancé and I hired Mariana for partial wedding planning and floral arrangements for our wedding. It was always extremely hard to get ahold of her and she even failed to show up to an appointment we had made with her. I sent her a message the night before to confirm the appointment with no answer. However, my fiancé and I still showed up to find that she was not there. We called, messaged, etc. with no reply, explanation or apology. When she was confronted by the woman responsible for our venue, Mariana told lie after lie. We also found out we were not the only ones receiving this terrible service and this is when my fiancé and I knew we would be firing her. She told us she would gladly refund us our deposit and we "should receive it in the next few days." Week after week we never received it in the mail. I would call her office every week to get answers and no one could help me out. Finally I received her business partner's number (Priscilla). She was very nice, extremely helpful and helped us get our refund. I do compliment her for her actions. However, for any bride needing assistance, questions answered and simply want to feel at ease that someone has your back in the wedding planning process, I unfortunately do NOT recommend this business. read more
