INFECTION, COMPLICATIONS, A SURGICAL PROCEDURE THAT FAILS IN UNDER 6 HOURS, FAILURE TO FOLLOW BASIC…read moreMINIMAL SURGICAL PROTOCOLS, NO POST OP FOLLOW UP, LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND A COMPLETE LACK OF COMPASSION AND EMPATHY... THAT'S WHAT TO EXPECT WITH DR SPIGA AT SMALL MIRACLES SURGICAL CENTER! I was a Veterinary Technician for 25 years and was blessed to have worked next to many wonderful Veterinarians. Dr Spiga is NOT a wonderful Veterinarian. Dr Spiga is the most unprofessional and uncompassionate Veterinarian I've ever met in my life. I undersand that the surgical procedure my dog had has a risk of failure and I understand that Small Miracles Surgical Center is low cost/high volume facility. But basic surgical protocol is NOT followed at Small Miracles surgical center. All they need to do is place a catheter in each animal for surgery so that they have quick access to a vein in case the animal starts to crash during the anesthetic procedure. Catheter placement takes less than a minute typically. This also provides a way to administer IV fluids during the anesthetic procedure. I took my dog to Small Miracles for a cherry eye (prolapsed tear gland) to be repaired by Dr Spiga and the surgery failed in less than 6 hours post op. My dog was IN PAIN and extremely restless since the sutures in his tear gland/eyeball were ripping and tearing through his tissue all night until they finally ripped through his tear gland. OUCH! My Veterinarians...all 4 of them... realized that Dr Spiga had used the wrong suture material! When you work near the eye the sutures are supposed to be soft. She used the incorrect suture for a tear gland! My Veterinarians were horrified when they checked him after his surgery. They found infection in his eye, severe swelling and they found that Small Miracles used the absolute wrong suture material for a tear gland repair! The suture material that Dr Spiga used scratches the cornea, could have punctured his eyeball and ultimately creates larger problems and is painful for the dog. And the fact that there was not even a catheter placed just really upset me and my Veterinarians because they know that basic surgical protocol involves placing a catheter in every animal for safety. I got extremely lucky that the improper suture material did not cause permanent damage to my dog's cornea. I have spent nearly $700 so far trying to repair the neglectful work of Dr Spiga. Plus my dog came back immediately with an infection which probably means that their surgical tools/surgical field are not sterilized properly. My Veterinarians do not perform cherry eye surgery and that's the only reason I went to Small Miracles. I went there seeking a consultation but they don't offer consultations! They'll do a quick, subpar surgery on your animal but they won't talk to you about it first! They expect you to drop your animal off like an assembly line with no communication, (limited text messaging at best) no telephone in the office, no way to follow up, no expertise, no compassion and no empathy for the problems they create in your animal. My advice is to never take a living being for surgery at Small Miracles Surgical center. I have supported their rescue since they open their doors many years ago. I was excited when I heard they opened up a surgical facility to offer an option for lower cost surgeries for rescued animals. But after my experience with Dr Spiga and the facility and the way they handled me, my dog and my complaint... I will tell everyone I encounter who has an animal about my experience at Small Miracles. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I will be spreading the word of my experience. Loudly.

There were issues obtaining information from my deceased family dog's previous vet hospital, and instead of being understanding or helpful throughout the process, the staff member I spoke to, Diana, came across as disrespectful and dismissive. I understand that adoption agencies need to verify information, but rather than working with me to resolve the issue, I felt unsupported and treated unfairly. In addition, the communication over the phone was extremely unprofessional. I expected a more compassionate and respectful approach, especially given the circumstances. Overall, this was a negative experience for me.

We've had a wonderful experience with Cradlerock Children's Center (CCC)! Both of my children have…read moreattended CCC, and our youngest is currently enrolled. From the start, it has been clear that this is a special place where children are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to thrive. This center is non-profit (the only non-profit early childcare center in the county), so you know that they are not just after your money, they really care about your children and their education. Tuition increases, when they happen have been extremely low. I was on the waitlist for almost 2 years (due to extremely low family turnover) for one of my children which speaks to the fact that they are offering a unique, well sought after program. One of my favorite things about CCC is the delicious and nutritious meals that are served every day and included in the price of tuition. And the best part is that its FARM to Table. No other preschool is offering that in the area. My kids are extremely picky eaters, but they eat all of the food served and this has helped me expand their palette and incorporate more nutritious meals at home. As a busy mom, having these meals takes one more thing off my plate for the week. The staff at Cradlerock is great and the center has really low turnover. There are teachers that have been there over 10+ years. My children have loved their teachers, and the staff consistency has made a huge difference in their comfort and development. The teachers are warm, welcoming, and really care about each child's growth academically, socially and emotionally. Ms. Amanda, the center's director does a fantastic job of balancing cost and budget but making sure there is delivery on effective high value programming and events. The admin and staff do a great job with communicating with brightwheel messages and newsletters to keep parents informed. She has also been leading the expansion efforts of Cradlerock Children's center's move to a new building which will happen in Summer of 2026 and CCC will be able to spread their goodness to even more families as they will be able to accommodate more families in a larger facility! The emphasis on social-emotional learning is one of the things I appreciate most. My kids learned how to manage emotions, interact kindly with peers, and problem-solve in real situations. Because of this thoughtful approach, both of my boys have made great friends and looked forward to school every single day. Another huge advantage for working parents is that Cradlerock is open on most calendar days, unlike many other schools that follow school system calendars, or have an insane amount of days off, the calendar at CCC is really great for working parents that need to go into the office everyday. Most importantly, the tuition cost is lower than many comparable programs, yet the quality of care, education, and overall experience is outstanding. We've always felt like we're getting great value for a top-tier early childhood program. I can't recommend Cradlerock Children's Center enough. If you are thinking of coming here, do it! It will be the best decision you've ever made!

My oldest thrived in both academics and social emotional learning. The teachers and administrators are incredibly knowledgeable and approach early learning in exciting ways! Don't get me started on the food and enrichment! The quality of the meals is unparalleled and my son loved growing food in their garden that he would then eat for lunch or breakfast. They have powerful enrichment classes such as STEAM and Fitness unlike anything I have ever seen in a preschool. Cradlerock Children's Center exceeds every expectations I have for preschool education (and I have very high ones ).
