Highly recommend Florida Beach Horses. We went last night for my daughter's 13th birthday. My two girls have ridden for years, and they loved every single second. They were allowed to canter, which made their night. And all of the water activities were a blast. In contract to their love of horses, I am someone who never rides and am honestly scared of riding. I only did it because my daughter wanted me to. And I can truly say I'm so glad I did it. The guides were amazing, kind, helpful, and encouraging. They made me feel completely comfortable. Ava was my guide, and I am so thankful for her!!! We also had Dakota and Sky, and my girls loved them. We will absolutely be back and bring our youngest daughter this time. Don't hesitate to book. Unfortunately not as described although still enjoyable. The " beach" ride is not actually a ride on the beach but a full 1.5 hours in the water swimming with the horses. Maybe it should be titled " water" ride? It was fun but not what we had been told to expect. Not even a beach in sight. read more

This experience was truly unforgettable. From the start the customer service was amazing. I messed up when I first booked my reservation and when I called they quickly and easily helped me fix my mistake and got me booked for all the people in my party and then when we arrived we were very early because we came from the other side of the state and they were so kind to us and let us hang out with the horses and the guide Dakota talked to us and was so sweet to our kids. The ride was so much fun and I loved getting to hang out with the horses in the water and taking pictures, I got to ride and snuggle with Jezemay, she was perfect. Ashley and Dakota were so kind and so much fun! If I lived closer I would do this once a month!!! read more

I cant wait to have photos to share about my experience! I texted and booked that way and the person i dealt with was fast and fantastic! She hooked me up with the amazing photographer ava who i booked also to do the photos. I wanted to enjoy this and not worry about taking photos but wanted a lot of photos lol I 100% recommend hiring Ava for photos! She is amazing and great to work with and was so incredibly kind! Everyone we encountered in this company was actually wonderful and kind and my husband and i were talking about it recently how this was the highlight of our trip and we did disney world and universal and gatorland! The horses were amazing and wahoo was mine and i just fell in love with him! We brought along our 5 kiddos ages 13. 11. 8. 3 and 3 and every single one of us had the best time. This was a great experience. I'm an intermediate rider and my wife is a beginner and we both had a great time. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, the horses are really well trained and easy to ride. We did a 'Cruise' ride which is mostly walking and trotting in the water with a little horseback swimming. It's a really unique experience. This would be a great ride for first timers because the stakes of falling off into the chest-height water feel so low and the horses are so well behaved. read more

This ride was the best experience I've had in years. My 2 grand kids and I give it a 10 +. It wasn't just a ride on the beach. We went into water around 3 feet deep. Were given a choice of doing extra things like standing on the backs of the horses, being pulled by holding on their tails and swimming with them. Also they had some one in the water with every two riders. Took pictures of us with our cameras that came out great!! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Much better than I expected. read more

They do a great job with a very unique experience. Guides understand you want lots of pictures. Do NOT try to do this with a phone camera unless you have/buy water protection. You cannot keep your phone dry without it. Fun time! read more

I booked this for my birthday last year and it was so much fun. Since I had my 4 year old with me, I was only able to book the Sand and Surf ride. For all the rides, you have to be 10 and over. The ride takes place at the Palma Sola Bay. You first start in the sand with saddles and then go inside the water bareback. They teach you how to do a lot of fun activities such as horse water surfing & horse skiing and more! There's a one guide for each horse. I had an amazing time. I was a bit concerned about my son riding alone on a horse but the guide super nice and sweet with him. He had a blast. read more

My daughter went on 2 different rides, and she LOVED it!! Keep in mind that the rides are not the full time. The time includes "set up" and "break down", she *might* have been on the horse 60 minutes, MAYBE. I feel like it's VERY expensive for what is involved, and on the 2nd ride I gave the tip (that they ask for in text, on the sign AND on the ride) and the lady looked at it and asked "Is this for the TWO of us?" If I didn't pay $160 per ride (TWICE), I would have been inclined to tip more! They also ask for you to bring treats for the horses, which we did, but when someone didn't, they were told that they sent out a text asking you to. This is just one more way to save money on their part, which is understandable, but the way they go about it is a little obnoxious. My daughter loved it. read more

I've ridden horses all my life but have never swam with them before, I can't think of a better organization to do it with than Florida Beach Horses. It was such a different feeling to riding on land, and one of the most magical experiences I've ever had! We did the Sand and Surf Ride, which was perfect for us as I got to canter down the beach a couple of times, then we took the horses bareback into the water for the swim section. I'm an experienced rider but not a great swimmer, whereas my boyfriend is a novice rider and former life guard - we both felt really comfortable and loved every minute of it! Chrissy, the head guide, makes sure everyone feels safe by clearly explaining each step of the experience. We had a small group of riders and each had a guide helping them steer the horse. Once we were out in deep water, we had the option of doing fun activities like standing on the horse's back or grabbing on to their tail to swim behind (this is all safe and pain-free for the horse!) We rode Cloud and Sparkles, who were both very sweet and really fun, but all the horses looked to really enjoy their job and were very well taken care of. The bond Chrissy had with every single one of them was very clear and she obviously gives them a great life. I highly recommend anyone visiting Anna Maria Island to book an experience with Florida Beach Horses, we can't wait to do it again! read more

What an Amazing Experience! We came for my Birthday; I am a very experienced rider, but have never been horse-surfing! What fun ! Every rider is matched with a horse for their own personal experience level and comfort and every rider has their own personal guide who never leaves your side! They were very knowledgeable and patient for those who have less experience! They are extremely concerned about only leaving memories and hoofprints behind - Nothing Else! They took photos of us with our cel phones and created a memory that will last forever. My guide was Hanah who such a friendly, happy, and very knowledgeable guide; we clicked right away! I rode Conga , who absolutely loves the water! She is a good sized draft horse who I absolutely loved riding, surfing, balancing on while standing on as well as surfing with ! This was SO much fun and I definitely recommend! This was actually our second time coming! It was so much fun the first time that we wanted to bring my mom for her birthday. We did the cruise ride both times and you ride your horse through the ocean which is a blast and nice with the Florida heat. The guides will also stop at spots and take photos of you with your family so I would recommend a water proof case or bag for your phone. It is so much fun to ride through the water, you even can surf on your horse (stand on it), and swim by it. You even can bring apples or carrots and give your horse a treat at the end. We had Dakota and Ashley as our guides and they were great. Very sweet, took lots of pictures, and social! 100 times recommend! It was a blast :) read more

Such an amazing experience!! Truly unforgettable. Perfect for families with younger kids. It was my husband, me and my 11 and 8 year old girls. The guides were wonderful with them. My 11 year old was a little nervous at first in the water, even though we've ridden horses several times before, but she was excellent. Her name is Rita. Chrissy worked with me and my younger daughter. She shared she began her time with the business as a customer and has been with them for 8 years. They all really knew their horses and how to work with them and motivate them and listened to our needs and concerns. We had so much fun! We got to horse surf, swim and race the horses. Our entire group was smiling and laughing. You could buy waterproof phone cases, but I elected to hire the photographer who also, I believe, is a guide with the organization. Ava was knowledgeable and easy to workout with. I can't wait to see the pics! My girls were asking to visit again before we had even finished our excursion! What an amazing experience! I came with my 12 year old daughter and we both loved it. We booked our trip on a Friday morning at 9am. Each person gets there own tour guide which I thought was good. First you ride on the horses a little in the sand (your tour guide is with you the whole time), then you go out into the ocean (without saddles on). Once you are out in the ocean you get your choice of 3 activities. 1: standing up on the horses back, 2: holding on to the tails and swimming with them, 3: sit on them and ride with them in the ocean. My daughter and I did all 3. We rode on sparkle and cloud. Our tour guides were Chrissy and Gwen. Chrissy was very nice and Gwen was great with my daughter. Thank you again for everything! Make sure to read their refund policy. It sucks ass. My mom is visiting, and they canceled today and said they can't do it till Oct 11th (my mom Leaves Oct 9th). Which I understand that part, due to weather, and the mayor telling them we can't. But I just called them, and Heather, who answers the phone, sounded like I was burden to you. And you sounded pretty cranky with me, and repeated your crappy refund policy. I can't use the dang gift card. She leaves, and I stated I'm moving out of Florida soon. So this crappy "gift card that last up to 10 years" won't work for me. So I'm happy you sounded more frustrated that you will talk to the manager for me. Instead of being caring, and understanding. Guess you really can't trust reviews, that's why I even picked this place because of the nice reviews, but shoot so far the one star review has been more accurate, than the 5 stars.
